I went in yesterday. Nothing has changed. Super lazy buyers and Aurora Music Go Round took almost everything I had except one item. Go to Gravity or the pawn shop or the MGR in Aurora, if you want a better outcome selling your gear. That bar is pretty low and even they do a better job buying your gear for pennies on the dollar. I can't stand the location in Littleton and that was the last time I will ever go in there. It's busy as hell due to the demographics there and I don't feel they've earned that business at this location. Also, look at all their paid and fake reviews with only ONE review, and no thumbnail. Who you trying to kid? Nobody is buying the store's friends or the paid services for canned reviews being posted under a $10/month VPN. Nobody is buying that crap. read more

We needed our port on our guitar fixed. I brought it into Music Go Round and it was fixed the same day! When my wife went to pick it up, she brought our 8yr old. He met the drum instructor and he showed him some technique. He has been doing lessons with him ever since and loves it. We had an issue with our toe clamp and brought in our pedal. The drum tech was very helpful and showed us what we needed to fix it. We have interacted with the owner/manager before and he is very friendly as well. Even though I don't play any instruments I always enjoy coming here hanging out and listen to people play. And once again, my interaction with the people that work here has always been great. AW was the person that I worked with today, he was great. I have it on many guitars in my life and not learned how to play a single one. This is a great place to buy used guitars for a good price and get your guitar repaired although they open at inconvenient times like on Sundays. They are open until 12 to 4 but it's overall a great store and I would recommend going to buy guitars from beginner to intermediate and to get your strings repaired. read more

I purchased a used set of speakers online that were $299 plus $100 shipping. Later in the day I got an e-mail saying the shipping cost was more than they expected (around double) and they were going to cancel my order. I called and offered to pay half of the extra cost since they should take some responsibility for their mistake. They wouldn't do that and wanted another $70. They should probably get out of the online business if they can't run it properly Yes I offered to cover 1/2 their mistake and they instead wanted me to cover 70%.. I was looking to spend over a grand on instruments and equipment, and I didn't even get a "hello" from the dipshits working there. Just stumbled on to this shop luckily and now see why it gets high reviews. It's 'relaxed', there's a bit of chaos, odd parts and work in progress lying around a bit but, I love it. A LOT of used gear of every kind, guitars electric and acoustic, keyboards, drums, amps but the focus is guitars and amps I'd say. Strings, picks, cases - all there. New stuff too of course. And they have an online search that checks all their stores for your prize, seems to work too. Friendly down to earth staff, they ask if you need help, if not, you're left alone. Which I highly recommend even if you know what you seek on the first visit so you take time to just nose around and enjoy the good vibes and great variety of equipment. I'm sure there's much bigger (ha, tons), maybe better in some ways (more stuff) guitar shops but I'll always look here first as this is the kind of place I want to support with my cash. Just picked up a new K Custom crash here - if you can find what you're looking for, this place really can't be beat. I paid $200 for an 18" K Custom Dark crash here. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the prices on eBay were between $230-280. August has been there forever and has always been super helpful even though I think he's more of a guitar guy. Fours stars for great prices and staff, but the selection really is hit or miss so you just gotta keep coming back. read more

I had brought in an instrument to sell, that my son used for three months in the school band. And as kids do, he didn't want to play it anymore. He wanted a different instrument. What i brought in was gently used, and hardly used and in nice condition. I bought it for 400.00 brand new. I was not expecting miracles at this establishment, just some respect and not to be insulted. The young man offered me 40.00. To repeat that is FORTY dollars. I was somewhat stunned. He found everything to say negative about it, but did conclude by saying how he did need these type of instruments. I left this establishment and soon after, sold it to a private party on Craigs list for 200.00. The party was thrilled with the appearance , sound and package. I was happy someone was going to enjoy it and use it. I am sure M. G. R turns around and sells this type of instrument for 200.00 plus so if you offered me at least 100.00 i might have thought about it, but 40, really?? I just think Music go round needs to show more respect to your customers. Being unreasonable really doesn't make you more desirable to ever want to buy something seeing how you operate, or bring something in again. I will stick with buying and selling on Craigs list for my music needs. read more

I called to ask if someone could restring my electric guitar while I wait as I need the guitar ASAP, and the representative enthusiastically said "yes we can do that for you tonight". Twenty minutes later I arrive with guitar and three guys are standing around talking among themselves, not busy. As the other rep is helping a customer. I take the guitar to the guys at center station to get strings replaced and they say it can't be done tonight. I mention that I was told it could be done, and they looked at the broken string as if they never laid eyes on a guitar before. I quickly lost confidence in these children posing as musicians in a used instrument store. I was considering looking for a synthesizer as I waited, but given the low quality employees at this store, it is a sign of the lack of quality music equipment. read more

What a great store! I shop here all the time. The prices are pretty fair. Usually a little more than an ebay or craigslist prices, but you get the backing of a store and a return policy that is as simple as just driving back up there. The gear selection is hit or miss.....I've seen plenty of boutique and vintage gear here, and just as much ratty old junk. I've sold them several items, and I love that they have a layaway. I have bought several guitars and amps on layaway. The employees give great service, also. Just this week I put an amp on layaway. After a few days, I decided I wanted a different amp in thier inventory. It was a quick phone call to have the money I paid on the first amp applied to the 2nd for me! read more

Music Go Round on Bowles Rocks! I bought some effects there and I was able to plug in and try everything in the cabinet. The staff was helpful and never gave me a tude when I asked for something else to try. I left happy and had a 30 day return policy. 2 weeks later the battery cover latch broke on the tuner I bought and I wasn't happy with one of the effects so I went in and was looking to exchange them. No problem they hooked me up with the same tuner but a later model and gave me full store credit for the other. After plugging in and trying the other tuner and some effects I decided to keep the tuner with the broken latch as I liked the display better. When I told dude behind the counter he reaches in the till and refunds half the cost of the original price I paid for the tuner! Music go Round and their people have the right idea. Nice enough people, but after being through here several times, the prices for used gear are absolutely absurd, and I really don't feel like a lot of them know what they are talking about with gear. Every time I am in there I find myself chuckling. Often times they don't know what they have or in most cases, don't have. It's an alright place to grab strings. Say you walk in there with a guitar you want to sell. Expect them to offer you about half of what they think they can sell it for. When you buy from there, make sure you know what you are looking at and ask questions especially on higher end instruments. The staff is usually pretty young but helpful. If you ask them to help you authenticate a guitar by pulling the neck or pick guard, they will accommodate you. read more

Brian helped me out arranging with the Albuquerque store owner to have the trumpet fixed in Denver instead of shipping it back to Albuquerque. I bought a Schecter Bass VI style instrument at this store a few months ago I looked it up online and called ahead to make sure it was still around. The staff held it aside for me and allowed me to play it through a bass amp and multiple guitars amps with a few pedals. In the end, I needed the instrument shipped to me in Seattle, and the store lowered the shipping price for me. Very good service and the instrument arrived in the same condition as it was in the store. read more

These guys are great all around. We have purchased to pretty cool instruments there and these guys are really pretty knowledgeable. I have had their lutherie work on a few guitars to problem solving issues with other gear with simple solutions (Thanks John, Dan & Zion). They give you pretty good prices on used gear as well...I think some are complaining about what was offered for their gear (being less than expected) because the emotional value on what THEY may be trading in is MUCH greater than what it may really sell used for. We have taken Drum lessons there from Chad...common...a lesson from a Berklee School of music Grad?! So awesome! We have even taken guitar lessons from Todd...I now have an elementary school kid who has playing rock in the Soiled Dove to Hermans Hideway as well as Classical Guitar down on University of Colorado in Denver College campus auditorium. All around great Store...Great people...defiantly great values! You can probably tell by now from this review...I spend a lot of time there, more than my wife would like. read more

This store's prices on used equipment are not significantly different from new, at least in the area I know (percussion). I did buy a couple of piano learning aids for students, but Music Go Round puts their own barcodes on even new stuff, and the stickers are the cheapest I've come across. They don't peel off easily, instead shredding and leaving sticky glue residue even where the paper comes off. You have to rub so hard, even with Goo Gone, that you ruin the covers. In other words, my money spent there was wasted. read more
