During the intermissions you hang out in what I imagine should be called a great hall where you can drink sodas, beer, wine and water or have some snacks. I'm pretty sure they sell Fanta Orange, which equals Tiffany being a big fan. I love that stuff along with Welch's Grape. However, I drank wine since it was Friday and wine is like scissors over Fanta's paper. The actors rotate every other night and they come from schools across the country. Some of them had voices that made me think they should be on a very famously known stage in the opera world. Others were kind of hard to hear, but eh, they are students. Overall I really enjoyed it, but that may be because they have a translator screen above the stage that lets you know what they hell is going on when you can quite figure it out based on actions alone. **Disclosure: I am in no way a professional opera critic as this was the very first I've attended.

He had held a A+in his middle school band all through 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade he's way ahead of his peers in so many areas of music. Fast forward to 2 years ago our oldest son wanted to audition and compete for first chair trumpet in his band class as a junior in high school at cherry creek high school. He felt he maxxed out with where he was at and needed that extra push and tutoring to acheive more. He asked me to sign him up for private trumpet lessons this past summer. Here we are in September of same year and after a summer of private lessons he auditioned and made FIRST CHAIR TRUMPET in his band class and for Cherry Creek Marching Band !!! (Did I mention CCHS ranked #1 for welcome week and in 5A tournament )!!! Wendy&Dale are the best ! All the instructors they hire are top notch and our invested in their students to succeed and not just in music but the why behind music , their self esteem, and technical skills that go along with it. I could t be more blessed to have found this school for my children. I have two other kids that will also play music this year. One more trumpet and one more piano or drums!!! Rupp's Drums is hands down the best drum shop in Denver and one of the finest in the country! Whether you're a seasoned touring professional or just starting your drumming journey, this place has something for everyone. They've somehow managed to strike the perfect balance between being a world-class destination for drummers and maintaining the charm and intimacy of a small, local business. Walking into Rupp's feels like stepping into a drummer's paradise. Their selection is absolutely unparalleled, from beginner kits to high-end professional gear, with an impressive range of cymbals, snares, and accessories to match. And if you're looking for that one rare or custom piece, chances are, they have it--or they'll help you find it. But it's not just about the gear. What makes Rupp's so special is the vibe. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always eager to share advice or help you find exactly what you're looking for. It's not just a store; it's a community. You'll often find fellow drummers hanging out, swapping tips, and sharing stories, and it's not uncommon to bump into a touring musician or two who's stopped by to check out the shop. Rupp's Drums is a rare gem in today's retail world--passionate, personal, and entirely focused on making drummers feel at home. Whether you're gearing up for your next gig or just want to spend an afternoon surrounded by people who love drumming as much as you do, Rupp's is the place to be. If you're in Denver, do yourself a favor and stop by. You'll walk out inspired, better equipped, and part of the Rupp's Drums family. read more

Warning: You had better make SURE you're going to like what you buy...otherwise there's a restocking fee as a percent of your purchase!! I tried out a cymbal that sounded great in the store, but didn't end up working with my kit at home -- a pretty common thing when you're talking about something so personal and unique sounding as a cymbal. Tried to return it 3 days later and was threatened with a 10% restocking fee (on a $400 cymbal!). They said it was to cover their credit card fee for the original swipe. I was offered a check instead at just 4% fee. Look, I love having an alternative to Guitar Center, and their inventory is actually better. I also understand the cost of a solo shop to compete. But to charge me to return something completely negates all the pros. Credit card fees are part of the cost of doing business, not something to recoup from a customer. I won't return, which is their loss of a customer that is obviously willing to lay down some cash - now and in the future. Such a bummer. read more

I went into Rupp's and asked them about finding a very specific drum set in an exotic finish. They only made a few of these sets for the US. I really didn't expect them to find it, but thought I'd ask. They got on the phone with Tama and had a dude dig around in the warehouse in Japan to find the last one they had left. It was shipped here very quickly for free. Alex worked with me on the price and I got excellent customer service from some of the staff as well (Dan, Evan, etc.). Rupp's is a cool place run by actual drummers. There aren't many places you can go and try out a high end Meinl cymbal or a rare vintage kit, so this place is worth supporting. Further, there appears to be an excellent community of drummers both working there and shopping. It's a great place to network and connect with other drummers. read more

Fantastic experience multiple times coming to this store! They have a ton of equipment at the same prices you can find online, but the difference is that you get to try it before you buy it here. They even have some used stuff to get on the cheap. In addition to helping me find the product I needed, Dan helped me understand how it would work with my pre-existing equipment and even helped tune up my double-pedal, neither of which I had bought from their store. I've found everyone there to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any way they can. Will definitely be back! read more

There were many things I loved about my lessons with John. First off, his positive energy and enthusiasm made our lessons such a pleasure. Something else that made John's approach totally unique was that his lesson content is very student-driven; rather than assigning me songs to practice, he would ask me what I wanted to learn. I would show him songs I was interested in, and he would help me figure out how to play them. In the weeks when life was busy and I didn't have a song in mind, he would make suggestions that I could choose from. He also challenged me by incorporating musical theory into our lessons, and took into account my prior knowledge from playing piano and singing. Another unique aspect of John's teaching is that he would video record new finger work or strum patterns, and share the videos with me. This way when I was practicing at home and didn't remember how to play something, I could always rewatch the videos. If you're at all considering taking ukulele lessons, I highly recommend that you work with John!
