Went here for lunch on a weekday and ordered the bacon bbq cheeseburger with tater tots. The burger was decent and the tater tots were amazingly crispy. Honestly think that the tater tot side upgrade is worth it since I just really enjoy the contrasting crispy tot's texture with the burger. read more

As always, years later, Stubborn Mule has produced some great food and service. We come here when ever we are in San Dimas. We transport rescue dogs to a shelter close by and Stubborn Mule always is always our bonus place to eat at. I wish we had one in Santa Clarita. Fortunately, we transport lots of dogs so we always stop by. Lastly, the food is always hot and fresh. One day I want to drink @ the full bar! read more

First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised! Food was really fresh and had lots of flavor. We got there right when it opened on a Sat so the server might've still been busy setting up for the day cuz she ran a little slow and there were o it 2 tables to serve. Found this place on yelp and wanted to give it a try, as I am not from the area. My gf and I like to do dinner once a month to catch up so for May this is it! Everyone here is nice and friendly. I ordered the Taco plate which was great. I tried chicken, pastor and carnitas and of the theee the carnitas was my favorite. My girlfriend had pizza no complaints there either. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is inviting. Would definitely recommend for a week night outting or if you are looking to try some place new. read more

We eat here after going to the movies. We were hungry so we decided to give this place a try. Very disappointed at least. Ordered the 3 tacos and they were terrible. The calamari was overcooked. The fish and chips were good. The waitress never checked on us so we ran out of drinks. Not going back sorry. With money tight these restaurants have to do a better job. One of the few places that's opened after 8pm and close late. A few of us got confused since there's two different locations. I first waited at the Glendora location then met up with the rest of the party at the San Dimas location. It's very lively on a Friday night. I was amazed how packed the parking lot was. It's a basic bar and restaurant. You can tell it's older than the one in Glendora. There were rowdy guys watching sports and they can get loud. Hard to hear. I did have a delicious mushroom burger with a side of Cole slaw. It's worth checking out to see the appeal. The waitress was also attentive to our needs. read more

Pretty cool spot to grab a beer, well drink, and some food. I've been here dozens of times and have tried various menu options. They have always been good. They have a casual environment. Lots of TV's to catch a game. Pretty good Happy Hour specials. Lots of locals. They have bar seating or tables. The service has always been attentive in my experience. This is a great spot to hang out on its own, or to pre party before going upstairs to Montana's (country bar with line dancing). Also if you prefer a more Latin flavor Zendejas is just across from here and they typically have a DJ or live music. There is generally plenty of parking - obviously some spots are a little closer than others and many of the front/close up spots have time limits. They are located in a strip mall not far from downtown San Dimas and not far from where the 210 and 57 freeway meet. The beer selection is pretty diverse and includes taps from local breweries. The well drinks are not watered down and the food selection pretty well covers the spectrum of most comfort foods and also some lighter options if you are eating healthy. Give them a try if your looking for a cool vibes watering hole. read more

My husband and I stopped by on Friday. We are regular customers. We have been coming here for 5 years at least. We ordered the Tosada salad. What a disappointment. I have ordered this dish for years. The salad looked like it was a day old; the lettuce was almost all white, barely any cheese or black beans, and drenched with dressing. It was so unappealing. When it came to our table, I asked the waitress why the dressing was all over the salad. She said, "It always comes like that." We have never had like rust. She proceeded to argue that it always comes that way. I just let it go. I looked at my husband Tosada salad,and it looked like slop. I asked my husband how it was. He said it was the worst one he had ever had here. I understand that restaurants cut corners, and we don't mind that, but this was horrible. Even the taste was different. I was going to take a picture of this mess, but my husband had put a cpuple of napkins over the plate. He said he didn't want to look at it. I just hope we don't get sick from this food because it had a foul taste at times. I'm praying that doesn't happen. We are totally disgusted. read more

What a hidden gem. This place is amazing! Did I say amazing....no... it's incredible. Great service and even greater food. Had the pretzels, and they were amazing, the mustard served with it was paired perfectly. Hubby had the pastrami and it was great so juicy and the bread held up to the portion of meat. I had the bowl of steak chili. That was a hearty bowl with big chunks of steak in it. We will definitely be back with the kids. I think we found a new spot. read more

A group of eight of my colleagues lunch here about once a month, never an issue either food or service wise. Tried the ahi sandwich today (I am a serious sushi eater) which was unbelievably good, seared perfectly and plenty of ahi. Server Rae Rae is fantastic and really cares about customers. read more

Went Friday. Had 2 drinks and 2 taco salads. Service was good. Taco salads were good. The salsa served on the side was bad. We sent it back with another server who offered no replacement or apology. The place looks to be a brewery where they have beer brewing equipment but was sad to say the beer under stubborn mule on menu was not their own...none if it was. I fully understand covid hashed implications but rancid salsa is unacceptable. I hope she threw it out bc she barely reacted about our complaint. Please work on training servers on how to handle a food complaint. This was last Friday @7pm ish. read more

The Stubborn Mule took over a family brewery that we loved. Didn't want to like it but the Southwest Chicken Wrap and beer were just what we were looking for. Best part of the visit was how nice all the other customers were. Sat at the bar and all the "regulars" were welcoming. We were camping nearby and didn't plan on going out to eat. I came here for happy hour that started at 9, but they close their kitchen at 8:50 ‍. Felt kinda bait and switch. I got the bbq chicken salad. It was a good salad but served in a warm bowl with too much dressing (and I like a lot of dressing) so it kinda killed the salad. Service was quick but that could have been because they wanted to get my order in so they could close the kitchen. We dined here with a Party of 10 on Saturday, August 14th at about 11:30am. We called ahead and asked them to reserve a spot for our large group. Overall, I would say the restaurant was very accommodating to our large group needs. Our server was great and tolerated us and made sure we were very satisfied. Personally, I had the Blue Cheese Burger with a side of tots. I thought it was yummy and cooked to the way I wanted it; however, for some reason the blue cheese ended up being a blue cheese sauce. We were looking for a place to meet friends for lunch and this place was conveniently located just off the 57 freeway so... We had a very nice lunch today -- arrived at noon and there was plenty of seating available. Granted this place is probably more popular in the evenings and weekends being an ale house, but we all enjoyed our dishes -- a BBQ Chicken Salad, turkey croissant, quesadilla with carne asada, and fish & chips. My friend even said his fish & chips were as the best he has ever had and loved the cole slaw. Our server was very friendly and efficient and the prices were very reasonable. My only preference would have been a little less hard rock music although it wasn't too loud and again, it is an ale house. We all decided we would happily return here.
