We love coming here because they have such a great menu with so much to choose from. They also have happy hour from 3 to 6 and then from nine to closing, which is 12 AM. Our favorite server is Katie. We usually sit in the bar area which is fun and exciting. When I tell you that this place is just like that TV show cheers, where everybody knows your name and everybody's glad you came, this is that place. The management are personable and attentive along with this entire staff. They also have the big screens going with the ball games and any current sports and events. It's also great about this places that they switch up their menu. Add new items. Keeping things exciting for the customer. Food is overly salted as a substitute for flavor. Service is outside the capability of some of the staff. We visited Applebee's, San Dimas after watching an old season of Survivor which featured the food as a "reward". We had not been to Applebee's in decades so we thought we'd give it a try after reading some Yelp reviews. The First gentleman to greet us had great energy, made us feel welcome. Unfortunately that would be the last we saw of him. Next two young ladies avoided eye contact with us as they awkwardly figured out where to seat us. An older waitress was the demise of the visit. 1. We asked to move to a different table because the sun was beaming through an uncovered section of a window. Before any consideration, her reply was "all the tables will be the same". We moved two tables over, under an A/C vent. Problem solved without waitresses willingness to help. 2. We had questions about happy hour since we hadn't been there in so long. The reply was "it's right there on the menu." 3. We received boneless chicken after asking for chicken wings which are traditionally bone-in. When we asked for a correction, the haste response was I will have to get a manager. Fortunately the manager took over for the rest of the visit so we wouldn't have to ask the waitress for any more service. Some other Yelp reviews mentioned an exceptional service experience. Unfortunately we did not get the opportunity to meet that waitress. However all of the staff should be willing to offer great service. There are many other options for a restaurant of this type. This location is great. Visited for the first time in probably 15 or so years and had a wonderful experience. Inside was clean and looked newly renovated. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Food definitely exceeded my expectations; everything was excellent! I ordered the grilled chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had such an amazing experience at Applebee's and I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Jolie! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such a warm and friendly welcome at the front door, which immediately set the tone for a great visit. That kind of first impression really matters, and they nailed it. Once we were seated, Jolie took over and made the experience even better. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming the entire time. She answered all of our questions with patience and made sure we felt completely taken care of. Honestly, it felt like she could read my mind l..my drink was always refilled before I even realized I needed it! She stayed on top of everything and made sure we had all the little things that make a big difference such as extra napkins, to-go boxes, anything we needed without us even having to ask. That level of service is rare, and she absolutely went above and beyond. Easily some of the best service I've ever had. On top of that, the manager was also fantastic. She came by right at the beginning and even helped take our order so we could make it in time for happy hour, which was such a thoughtful and proactive touch. By the time our server came, we were ready to order. I got the 6 oz steak with mashed potatoes and green beans on the side because they were out of broccoli. While my SO got the Bourbon Street Steak with mashed potatoes as well. My steak is kind of tough on the side even though I asked for medium but it was edible, tasty. My SO's steak is much better - tender and well seasoned. Our server kept on checking on us and refilled our water glasses. Veterans discount is accepted among other things. What a lively place. This really is San Dimas neighborhood bar. Seemed like everyone from town was here. Good mix of a older and younger crowd not to mention families too. I liked how the bar was in the middle of the place. Plenty of TVs to watch sporting events. I can see this place getting live during big games. Menu has a little something for everyone. The service was great. The server was checking in on our party throughout our stay. Food came out quick. The Tex Mex Shrimp Bowl was good. I think it could use plumper shrimp. We were pretty pleased at finding such a nice location to watch games and have a decently priced meal. I'd always liked the Applebee's Grill in Alhambra, so had been wanting to give this location nearer to my current home a try. First, the ambiance for a sports bar was nice and cozy. Great lighting. Plenty of space and comfort on a game night. TVs all around for a good view from most tables. I enjoyed the Red Sangria and it was offered on the Happy Hour list! The Queso and warm and crispy Chips were very good. I really loved the Asian Chicken Salad! Tender chicken, fresh ingredients, and great flavor. Price can't be beat for such a huge and quality salad. There are no Applebee's near Los Angeles or the city I live in in Inglewood so whenever we're in a city that has Applebee's, we always stop there. The food is good but not very healthy. They used to offer weight watcher choices. Service was friendly. They offer happy hour wines and spirits and we were there at that time. I ordered my HH wine and was informed they were out of it, so I asked what wine they offer in its place, they told me and when the bill came they charged me full price for the wine!!! I have been a weekly regular at Applebees for the last few months - I should have reviewed them long ago. The weekday chef has me hooked on the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger. This is the first time in my life, and I am old, that my bacon is actully extra crispy like I order. It is really good bacon to start with, nice and thick, but when it's cooked crispy it is the best ever, and he cooks it PERFECTLY!!! MY KUDOS TO HIM!! The entire staff is great, you are always greeted with a cheerful host/hostess. My go-to server is Katie, she knows my order better than I do and she is on top of my every need or want, but every server I have had has been very friendly and good at what they do. The 'manager of the day' often comes by to check in to see if all is okay and when my server is busy they have even gotten my refill for me. So I ordered on line directly to Applebee's. I chose to pick up order. I have to say this was the best take out I have had in a long long time. I ordered the 2 for 26 deal. The side salad was very big and fresh. The portions of the 2 main courses were great. Enough for left overs. The food was hot and ready in 20 minutes. Absolutely fantastic. It got me to thinking about my past purchases through grub hub. There were monumental differences. The temperature of the food the portions and the packaging. So are the orders treated differently due to restaurant employees not receiving tips and grub hub drivers are receiving tips? Are drivers eating some of the food? I just think this issue should be looked into. The differences are just too much to be coincidental or ignored. read more

As a former Applebee's server, we would always come to this location since I was not allowed to drink at my own. We never had an issue until tonight, with our "server" Samantha who was more like an expo. I completely understand judging a young table & not expecting a tip or anything but tonight's service was just beyond terrible & pathetic. Food quality is good for what it is. Low score because of the restrooms. This restaurant has the most disgusting men's room of any restaurant I have ever been to. Last 2 visits there were no paper towels to dry my hands and both times the restroom was filthy top to bottom. The stench of stagnant urine was gag-inducing. Came here yesterday for dinner with the family. Danielle and I had the 2 for $27 while Ezra had the chicken fingers and French Fries. Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp - 3.5/5 stars. Baby Back Ribs with French fries - 3/5 stars. A bit dry and the sauce wasn't my favorite. Chicken Finger - 3.5/5 stars. Ezra practically cleared his plate. So why a 5 star review for 3 star food? The Service!! Greg C. was our server and he was hustling! He had 4-5 tables in his area and he was very attentive with all of us. Refill? You got it. Ketchup? You got it. Ranch? You got it.
