I'm going to be honest I was leaning hard towards a 3 star review. We showed up at lunch on a Sunday with our 1 year old. We found high chairs, but they were filthy and sticky. We had to wash one down before we could even put her in it. During a rush where table turnover is high, this is totally understandable, but there was one other family in the restaurant and plenty of staff available. I ordered the three piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. The potatoes and gravy were both cold and unedible. So why the 4 stars? Because the chicken is SO good. I stopped into this location this weekend. I had not been to this particular location, but I love the gluten-free options they have. I was greeted nicely by the two staff workers. I went a little bit early, so I was the only person there at the time. He told me to choose wherever I wanted to sit. I sat at a table near the TV. I already knew what I wanted because I get the honey kissed gluten-free chicken nuggets with a fries and they're wonderful honey mustard sauce. It was served quickly and fresh. The chicken is tender and filling. I was actually only able to eat the chicken tenders because it was so filling! The restaurant was clean and the service was good and it was quiet and casual and I just watched the TV while I enjoyed my meal. I would say the only reason I did not give it. A five stars is because I kept getting a whiff of sewer. I don't know if there is a sewer issue nearby or on the premises, but that was the only negative, especially while I was eating. Hey Todd your poor customer service started with your phone message that you don't answer the phone, so yeah it's my opinion that's poor customer service period, exclamation point, dot , dot, dot. No after calling my husband a liar and telling me to be mad at him, yeah my assessment of your poor customer service was spot on. My husband won't complain even after spending money on items like coleslaw , which will go in the trash, as he knows I don't generally ever request it nor did he in this instance. There's clearly a lack of communication from your employees and because I am very specific with what I request via text the text he read your staff verbatim. We thoroughly enjoyed the Wornall location and I ordered just this past March from the Merriam location which still has the pepper jack cheese sticks just like you on the ONLINE menu. Perhaps, clean up your website to match your menu, use a simple quality control like confirming the order with the customer at order and delivery , could go a lot further to your bank account which we will definitely not support. After a long work week, no one has to spend their hard earned money with you. Funny you believe my husband's experience is such he would ever spend money with you again. Food - excellent Service - good Ambience - restaurant with seating and a few bar seats. I'm going to out and say this is the BEST chicken strips-s in greater KC area. Gluten free and a great selection of dipping sauces. Got my usual on 9/25/25, 3 strips with secret sauce and mango habanero sauce, with coleslaw. Excellent chicken strips hot off the fryer, tasty and great variety of dipping sauces from ranch to above habanero. What impresses me most is their thin and tasty batter on the strips. Chicken strips & a bar, yes! Strips ranks to be my top strip establishment so when you add cocktails than it's a win -win. I had the 3 pice dinner, which has dark meat (my fav). As a disclaimer. I have met the owner and hung out with him. He was a good guy, but it will not affect my review of his place of business. I have a friend who swears by this place. He seems to eat there once a week. He calls a chicken strip dive bar so it put an image into my head that might have skewed my initial judgment. First of all, the location is in a complete dive bar type of area, out there in industrial part of Sante Fe road, on the east side of Quivera, next to a railroad. I have been there a couple of times in the past because of a laundromat that I used to visit to wash my comforters. The outside also has a bit of a dive bar appearance, with an older look that feels a bit worn out. However, the interior seems quite different from what you get from the outside, sort of like going to a run down Motel 6 or Super8 whose guest rooms has been renovated. The interior is clean and looks like it has been updated recently, this is not a dive bar, it is a family friendly eatery with a bar. However, the bar was empty and was being used as an area for to-go pickups. The patrons were also not really bar types, but mostly families with small children, nearly all of them. So for me, the vibe was a bit off-putting, but I blame that on my expectations (I also blame my friend)... I ordered a 5 piece strip with fries (with cheese and jalapenos) and a coke. It came out to $25 with tax and appropriate tip. I once told the owner that I like Chicken Tenders and he was the first to correct me that these weren't tenders, but strips....the main difference being that the chicken piece were a uniform shape, not conical, like you see in a tender. Nonetheless, the strips were fairly small, but they were good. Certain restaurants, you know they get their food from either Sysco or US Foods, and they are heavily breaded with a rubbery type of chicken. These weren't those. The chicken was fresh and the breading was actually thin and didn't get in the way. The two sauces I got (Blue Cheese and a slightly spicy red sauce) were perfectly serviceable, but nothing to write home about. The fries seemed more of the frozen variety and with an industrial cheese sauce and bottled pickled jalapenos. Would I say this place is better than Slim Chickens, which is just down the road and a bit cheaper? I would say it's slightly better, but it doesn't necessarily justify the price difference (about $5). And I'm still confused with the vibe of the place. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite, having been to the Strips location in Olathe. This is a bar, and a Strips Chicken place. I ordered some strips and fries. The first strip was full of oil--not cooked at the proper temp...tasted the second one, same thing. Bite of the third one, same oily, gross, not properly prepared. I asked them to take these back. They asked if I wanted them do do another order. If this cook can't get it right the first time, what kind of cook are we talking about? No thanks. I was not charged for this, so fine. I enjoyed the tasty food, healthy menu options, reasonable prices and fast service during my opening day dine-in lunch visit. My grilled chicken sandwich with choice of side ($10.99) was served just six minutes after I ordered at the bar. The sandwich was nicely sized at 3" high and 5" wide with delicious grilled chicken. I loved the variety of side options on the menu. The superfood slaw I selected tasted great. The service was merely accommodating, except for the presence of the helpful, inspiring, entrepreneurial owner. The dining area was clean and freshly remodeled with background music and a mix of booths and tables. Very casual (like plastic plate appetizer casual) but great food and a nice variety of craft brews. When you go to a place called "Strip's" for the first time, it makes sense to start with strips. I'll definitely order that next time I come. The pretzel breading on the chicken is just perfect. The sauces were awesome, and the fries were not soggy. My husband and I came here because we heard they have great Mac and cheese and chicken strips. I am not a fan of Mac and cheese at all. However, we both tried a Mac and cheese bowl with strips and chicken nuggets. It was so delicious and comforting. Definitely a comfort food and well worth the $11.99 . I had their tasty barbecue sauce with it. I love that they serve the bowls in these containers that you can easily take home by placing a lid. There was plenty left over to enjoy again later. The environment was super nice and clean. The booth we sat at had a nice tv with the Nintendo game system. Super cute and we had great service. Lauren was super accommodating and great service over all. We look forward to coming back and trying their pork tenderloin sandwich. We really enjoyed our meal. We came on a Saturday for lunch. My extended family and I (7 of us) all had lunch yesterday at Strips in Lenexa. As far as I'm concerned, this gets . The owner (Todd) came out and talked to our table for quite a while, so I got to ask all the questions about separate fryer, dedicated workspace, etc. I have complete confidence eating here. Also, all my "gluten goblins" thought the GF food was good too. In fact, they all said the GF onion strings were the best they've had anywhere!!! I did not have a reaction, so I'm spreading the good news! GF food can be really good...and it is here!!! I ordered the smoked pulled bbq pork sandwich on a GF bun...that DID NOT FALL APART!!! It wasn't hard and was sooo yummy. Woo hoo!!! I also tried the GF fried zucchini and enjoyed that as well. Just let them cool down a bit and use the fork they bring you. The coating will fall off as you try to eat it. My sister was thrilled that they had real broasted chicken. The only thing I would change is--please have a chipotle ranch dressing for dipping. That is my favorite for dipping anything and slathering on sandwiches. Oh, and need wet naps! My husband was not happy with the price of the cocktails ($15), but they were awesome. My mojito was strained. So no chunks of mint sneaking up the straw. I definitely tasted the mint though. We sat at a two tables moved together, but we noticed that a couple of the booths had TV screens with Roku. I guess you can choose what you want to watch. Also, the booths have tall backs, so I would imagine it would feel nice and private in there. Everything was a dark wood surface--very homey. These folks make great fried chicken. Not just strips (which are excellent) but bone-in chicken. Great crunch. Super tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, not reconstituted potato powder. Great variety of sauces, too. Interesting collection of beverages--infused booze (which I haven't tried.) The service is good. I do suggest that you check your to-go order as their QC is not on-point. I failed to check my orders. Two out of last 5 trips, something significant was omitted. And when you do drive back to get whatever they left out, they don't attempt to make good. I don't believe the staff is empowered to make that call. Management appears to be off-site. We had a good meal, for what it was, at Strip's last night. You seat yourself. First we tried a booth but it's clear they didn't measure the spacing - the open booth was laughably small and the table was against my rib cage and the person across the table, so we opted for a regular 4 top. Service was very quick and food was tasty. As others have mentioned the menu says the meals include the side but that's not accurate and while it's still an affordable option, it's confusing for no reason. The waitress did clarify when ordering but why make her do that with EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER, when you could just be clear about it on the menu? Anyway, mine was quite good. Not groundbreaking but we all enjoyed our meals and thought we'd probably come back. My dad enjoyed the QR code check out. While our waitress was very prompt - it's nice to be able to leave when you're ready, rather than waiting on servers when it gets busy. Oh and they did renovate the space nicely, but again, they could do with remeasuring their booths since they aren't spaced correctly. read more

The food was good but BEWARE of what you are charged. Even though the menu had a sandwich and a side listed for one price, we were charged the full price of a side for each of our sandwiches. When this was brought to the attention of the waitress, she had to ask the cook. Then she came back and said "I see why this is confusing" but said being charged the full price is correct. She also made the excuse she was "new" and had to ask the cook as he had been there longer and she was not sure. I told her the company needs to change their menus to reflect this as it was listed differently. Now I see that a "meal" side should only be $2! read more
