We had a great chat and made sure to answer all of my questions fully and didn't make me feel rushed at all. My free intro class was coached by Chloe. She was very welcoming and so were the other members. Chloe did (and always does) a great job teaching each movement and proving effective cues all while keeping a fun and upbeat vibe! My husband and I have been members for 2 years now and it's safe to say it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did we find a great, safe, and fun place to workout, we have met some of our best friends which has made Denton feel like home faster than we could have ever expected. Jason and Molly have since moved the gym to a bigger and better location and as a member I feel super spoiled every time I walk in. The equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of space to workout without bumping into fellow athletes. They have adjusted SO well to accommodating new safety standards due to COVID-19. Each athlete is able to workout in a designated area safely spaced from others. They also added several new programs that can be done at home for those who still do not feel safe. Jason and Molly are constantly evaluating how they can add more value to their members and take feedback to heart. If you're looking for a great gym, quality coaches, and an inclusive community, then you will love this place! :)

I've never stayed this committed to a workout regimen this long, and that's 100% because of how amazing this gym is. Every workout is achievable wherever you are in your fitness journey. The culture is inclusive, diverse, and wonderfully positive. Every coach is well-educated and informed about how to make sure you're moving safely with good form. The other athletes are super supportive and encouraging af. Poor customer service. Despite the many times I reached out I could only get one guy on the phone…read morewho refused to answer any questions about pricing unless I came in. In 2014 I lost 102 pounds by slowly changing how I ate and going on walks. For 2015 I wanted to step it up to shed the rest of the weight and tone my body. I got a personal trainer to do strength training four times a week for an hour to help tone, and I wanted a cardio workout 3 to 4 times to help shed the pounds. So I reached out to Denton Title Boxing club. I sent an email asking about their pricing, since none is listed on the website, and asking if they do any private lessons for beginners. I was hoping to take three or four private lessons before jumping right into the class. A week later I got a generic email offering me a free class. No questions I had asked in my email were answered, and nothing about the email was personalized. Obviously it was truly a generic response they send to any email inquiry. I figured, sure, they probably get a high volume of emails. So I called. I didn't get through the first 2 times, but the 3rd I finally got a guy. I asked about pricing and he invited me in so I could take a free class and he could explain their membership. I told him my time is limited, and I don't want to waste any of it coming in if their price is too far out of my budget. I was then put on hold. About 7 minutes later he got back on and asked for my name and # and that he would get back to me. I figured something had come up in the club, and I gave him my info and waited for a return call. Another week passes and I hear nothing. So I emailed again telling them I was very serious about getting into some kickboxing classes. Their calendar and schedule is listed online, and they had 5 kickboxing classes a week that I could fit into my schedule, but again, no pricing is listed on the site. Just an offer for a free class. So I email them again. I detailed how this was my third time trying to reach them. I explained I had emailed initially and that the generic reply hadn't answered any of the questions I'd asked, and I mentioned my phone call and lack of a call back. I again said I'm interested in taking 5 kickboxing classes a week after taking a handful of private lessons. I then asked about pricing. Three days later I got the same generic reply offering me a free class. None of my questions had been answered, none of my complaints on their failure to communicate were addressed, and it was obvious that no one had even read my email. I think whoever answers their contact emails just opens them and sends the generic reply without reading them. So I tried one last time. I called and left a message when no one answered. I left all my info, and told them of my desire to take some private lessons before jumping into the 5 class a week schedule. That was about 4 weeks ago, and no response. I have since learned of their pricing through other yelp reviews, and guess what? Well within my budget. I wouldn't have minded the sign up fee or the monthly fee in addition to that. If they had emailed me the price after my initial inquiry I would have been in the next day to sign up. If they had told me over the phone the price I would have been in the next day to sign up. If they had emailed me the price after my second email (third attempt to get pricing) I would have been there the next day to sign up. If they had returned my second phone call and message (my fourth attempt to get pricing) I would have been there to sign up. Now? Now I have a rowing machine. My trainer taught me how to use one at her gym, and I got a great deal on one for $120. It is a full body low impact workout that burns tons of calories and I can watch TV while doing it. So I saved a ton of money, and while I fully intend to get into kickboxing, it will definitely not be at this establishment. I believe you can tell a lot about a company not only by how they treat their clients, but how they treat their prospective clients. And this company? Has no respect for anyone or anything but money apparently. So in closing they will not be getting my money. In January 2016 when I should hit my goal weight and will need to maintain, I intend to part ways with my personal trainer and get a gym membership. I've done all my research and have settled on The Brickhouse Gym in Denton. They didn't list a price on their site either except a special for 3 months, but when I called I got through. They too offered to let me come in so they could explain their membership to me, but when I told them my time was very limited and I just needed to know their pricing the girl had no problem quoting their pricing and packages to me. They too offer an early morning kickboxing class in addition to everything else a gym should have, and they are cheaper than Denton Title Boxing while providing more services. So Denton Title Boxing Club your poor customer service has lost you this potential client.

I was a member of this place for four months, and it was the worst spent money I think I made all…read morelast year. The owners could care less about the place, and it shows. It's an overpriced hype of nothing. First, money. It's crazy expensive, but I was willing to pay because I'd decided to lose weight and stick to the classes. They have a $100 dollar initiation fee (non-refundable) and a $50 cancellation fee. They want a one year commitment, and the monthly dues are anywhere from $60-80/month. So one year, if you add it up with the fees, can be $870 to $1,110 depending on your monthly rate. This price is crazy considering what they put me through. I go in and do the free workout and realize that this is a great way to get in shape. I sign up and they give me the schedule. Simple schedule. It shows that the gym is open from 6am to 9pm everyday and has class schedules included. I found out on day one that this was false. They close all of the time! I showed up at 2pm on a Saturday....closed. 1pm on a Sunday....closed. Then they posted a sign on their door stating that they'd be closing from 1:30 to 4:30 everyday! Think about that. This business wants around $900 per year from you, yet you can't get in to use the place! I remember showing up one Saturday morning for a class and the place was locked. No one showed up for work. So there we were, all the customers waiting for the gym to open. We ended up leaving because they never showed. I even called the regional manager (the guy in charge of all of Texas) and told him. He calls them to warn them that they can't close as it's part of their franchise contract. They could have cared less. They continued to close all the time while taking everyone's money. I call to cancel and was immediately met with the "We're going to charge you a cancellation fee" stuff. This is when I got very angry. I personally think they should give me back my initiation fee seeing as how they closed the place on me, I didn't voluntarily leave. They didn't charge the fee because I was irate (and would have filed a small claims suit against them just to fight). Do yourself a massive favor and don't even walk in the door. Save your money. Go to the Denton Rec center ($10 per month) or Planet fitness ($10 per month). I feel completely robbed by this disaster of a gym.
