I was prepared to not like the 2024 remake with Jake Gyllenhaal, after all the Original Version with Patrick Swayze is one of those guilty pleasures that always seems to be playing on one of the channels somewhere on the weekends.... Oh Hang on - I should be talking about ROW House..... I have been a Row House Member for over 2 years, so you can probably figure out I enjoy the routine - and they provide a good variety of programs! I really like that the stats show how you improve over time and the entire system gives you accountability But the biggest thing about Flower Mound Studio is both the Coaches and the Members. All of the Coaches do a great job to push and encourage you, making themselves available if you have questions or concerns. From a member perspective It is VERY much a non-intimidating environment and you will feel comfortable attending and participating as much or as little as you like. Weekend sessions do get busy, but I have had a 100% success rate in clearing any waitlist and joining a session. The music and the pacing is varied, and the interaction and milestone celebrations during class are encouraging. I've been going to Row House since it opened and I really enjoy it. I'm a former college athlete whose body feels way older than it really is because of old injuries from my glory days. Now I'm 35 and I need low impact cardio because my knees and back can't handle running. I actually read two novels about rowing that piqued my interest in the sport, so when I saw a rowing gym was opening nearby, I decided to give it a try. The coaches and staff are really nice, and I enjoy the variety of classes. There are people of all ages, shapes and sizes in each class. After my first class, my thought was: "That was perfectly hard. Not so hard that I never want to try again, but definitely much harder than I would push myself at home." Like anything, you enjoy it more the better you get at it, so as I feel stronger and more adept, I'm working hard to keep my momentum going. They run challenges to keep us motivated and are always open to ideas and feedback from us. The app works well and syncs with my Apple Watch. I love how easy it is to book my classes and keep track of my progress. I've recommended it to a lot of my friends and I'd do the same to anyone reading this review. It's worth a try; it might be just the right workout for you. read more

I have been here for a little over a year but it has been an awesome adventure and every day is an enjoyable workout. The studio is super clean and the bathrooms are extremely clean. The instructors are a lot of fun and knowledgeable. I really like the way they lower the music level when calling out instructions. Come try a class and see for yourself. read more

I started rowing a few weeks ago and have been hooked since. I did my first free class and immediately after signed up for a full year. By hooked, I mean we've been going 5 days a week and pouting that we have to take a break and rest our bodies. Ha! I was trying it out with a friend because it's low impact and we both have knee issues. It is such a great workout and it's not killing our knees. I love that they have a variety of classes allowing us to get strength training in as well. We're working our arms, legs, and core. BONUS! Here is my FaVoRiTe part - the STAFF!!!! Ro and I fell in love with the team from day one. What an encouraging, fun-loving group. They push you to work HARD while you may feel like you're dying ;-), and they do it through love and passion for what they do. Who doesn't love a coach that will PUSH you?! The studio is always immaculate and the staff is always so welcoming. The music makes your workout fly by! I have attended several RH workouts and base my review against several premier studio fitness classes. Without a doubt, this blows all of them out of the water. It is truly a full body workout that leaves you fatigued but with a euphoric sense of community and accomplishment. A lifechanging program run by caring staff who are energized by seeing me succeed. I learned about Row House from some coworkers and after having not worked out for several years I started dropping hints to my wife that I'm thinking about joining this shindig. As I am a procrastinator by nature, my wife, got me a GC for my Bday and let me tell you... it's awesome. No lie. I suggest trying some of the different classes that focus on different stuff to get a feel for it. The coaches are awesome, it's a good 45 minute workout where you feel like you did something but not so over the top that you can't sit down the next day. If you're someone who wants to get back into exercise and working out but don't want to hit the gym and randomly try and remember what to do... this is it. It's been awesome. read more

i have a few things to mention about this place. i came in not too long ago wanting to sign up for a membership... not only are the rates extremely overpriced (seems to me as though they wanna take advantage of the location they're in. scamming locals into spending their hard earned money on a membership where the clients aren't even respected) anyways... i digress, i overheard a manager make a comment about a clients body type.. calling her a "bowling ball" assuming nobody nearby heard. not okay. needless to say, i didn't get the membership, instead look at other places. read more

I have bad knees and can't workout like I used to. I have found that rowing is the only thing I can do. Since it's low impact I don't have to take ibuprofen after, like I do after other workouts. The staff is wonderful and the coaches are motivating. They get the best out of you. This is such a great community that I'm happy to be a part of. Only positive vibes here! read more
