I have been going to this place for years and not disappointed. Each of the four curtained-off rooms offer the same benefits. You have the option of staying fully clothed or removing everything except your underwear. I usually remove mine, but keep my socks on. The masseuses and masseurs really know how to relieve your stress, knots and aches. The massages I have had always ended with the stretching of my legs and arms, in addition to my socks being peeled off and my bare feet massaged for about 10 minutes. One lady has her own business and invited me to try her place in Maryland. She said at her place, wearing nothing at all except a towel was the norm. She was right and did a great job. I remember going to The Relax Center first, but they were busy at the time. I w as liked down the hallway and was met by a guy who looked very bored. He saw me a jumped up smiling. We walked into the store and he introduced me to a lady who's name I have since forgotten. We will call her Deidre for name purposes. Deidre, greeted me and took me to the back of the store. Apparently she has her own work section she likes to use. This place likes you to keep your underwear on(hope I am not confusing this place with another). Anyhow, this was fine with me. Deidre seemed very knowledgeable and did not really use her forearm and elbows. If the masssge was to strong I simply let her know. The music that was played was relaxing and I don't remember it repeating over and over again with the same four songs. Now I will saw when the lower back was massaged, the underwear gets pulled back so your vertical smile comes shining through. Nevertheless, when your glutes are tight or sore, getting them massaged is great. This accounts for the legs too. The foot massage is the greatest part. Once your body is done, the best thing to have happen is get the hardest working body part some much needed attention. Ladies and gentlemen, The foot massage. I am very thankful to have had Jessica from Stress Away as my hair and make up artist for my Memorial Day May 28, 2018 wedding! Her work is highly admirable for the price. I appreciate that she is very professional, personable, easy to work with, and creative! During our initial interactions, she was very responsive to messages over wedding wire and text. I had an original vision of woodsy, bohemian chic, long beach wavy hairdo with natural looking makeup. A great partner in the creative process, Jessica took into consideration my dress, jewelry, and skin tone to tie together a hairdo and make up palette that made my vision come to life in ways I did not imagine! I highly recommend going to do the hair and make up trial with Jessica in Rockville, MD! I went with my mom to get both our hair and make up trials. Meeting in person, figuring out colors that work with your vision and skin tone, and creating bonds working together is important to the success of the big day. She was very patient with our questions and helping my mom find a hair and make up look that worked to her liking. While she did not meet my bridesmaids until the day of, she made sure to ask for their hair and make up vision ahead of time! For the "day of," Jessica and her assistant traveled to my home where my bridesmaids, mom, and I got ready. She arrived early in the morning and did the hair and makeup artistry for me, my two bridesmaids, and my mother in just 3.5 hours. She was thoughtful at incorporating my bridesmaids hair/makeup visions into the overall bohemian chic theme of the wedding. Stress Away's wedding rates are very competitive and affordable especially for those on a budget! Included in the package was that Jessica would provide a number of hours for touch up before the ceremony, which was great to have just before even thought we actually ended up not needing it. Yes, like the other one star on here said, this is a shady place. I bought a groupon a while a go for this place and tried multiple times to make an appointment. They asked me to call back once, and another time told me they could get me in the next day, then when I told them I was using a groupon, the receptionist said I couldn't get in until next week and that she would call me back to schedule me. She never called. On my final call the receptionist asked if I was using a coupon, I said yes, and then she told me to return it and that she would just charge me $50 for the massage without the coupon. I reported this to Groupon. Super shady, stay away! read more

I found a groupon for hair and make-up that was only $35. I was skeptical at first but am so happy I tried this place. I made a reservation with Jessica and sent her pictures of hair and make up ideas. She spent close to two hours doing both. I am more than pleased with how everything turned out. She even provided false eyelashes at no additional charge (I've found other make-up artists charge for these) The hair and make up was for a work gala. I received compliments the entire night. Stopped by on a whim. Was greeted with a smile and overall great service. Linda knew exactly what to do with the tight muscles in my back. You know it's going to be a good massage when the therapist can hit pressure points that zing along your body. She alleviated so much pain and tension. The price couldn't be beat. If you want to pay $100 to get your shoulders rubbed while drinking cucumber water at some chi chi spa, this isn't the place. I would add a fifth star if it weren't for the location. This is located in the Landmark Mall which is mostly barren. Also, you won't get your own room with 4 walls and a door. They use curtains to separate massage tables, kind of like what a double hospital room has. It's still very private, though. Also, bring cash. SCAM ALERT after purchasing a Groupon I called the establishment to make an appointment. The owner urged me to return the Groupon and she would only charge me $45 (the Groupon was $48) for the same service. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later and when I arrived for the appointment the owner said she made a mistake and she couldn't honor my appointment. First massage experience ever, treated my Mom & self, CiCi was very accomodating, greeted with a nice smile as we walked thru the door, gd customer service, reasonable prices, gd location, I enjoyed my massage as well as Mom, she had Linda, she speaks no english but nice, felt relaxed after leaving, fun experience, would visit again, had serene music in the background, dimmed lighting, would prefer closed in walls instead of curtains separating the room for privacy. read more
