I came to Lanna spa for a 90-minute massage. The conversation was brief to start the massage. At…read moresome point, the massage therapist (Benz) was massaging my inner thigh, and then moved to stroke my groin and then genitals, without my consent. I asked her to stop, which she did. This establishment needs to make sure they are communicating and asking for consent before touching people's genitals. Without consent, this type of touch could be considered sexual assault. Nobody should be put in this position while vulnerable on a massage table, and I want others to be aware. I left feeling shame and discomfort, and I won't be coming back.

Oh yeah, they take cash money too. You might save that for tips.    This place says they offer massage, pedicures and full body waxing by licensed practitioners  in the US and native countries. Body Scrub and body shampoo can be done upon request. Okay cool:) The Bad News: Everything I listed in the good news is great and all, but what about the  consumers looking for more information? Information, LIKE the cost of doing business for the services that get your interest(s). It's sad to say it, but I have to say it, Its probably not free. Then again, I have looked online, sent a text message to the Yin Yang Health Spa, and even called them once?...,No twice? Three times are plenty.  I have not heard back from them.  Not the way to practice good public relations.  I hope this business  gets to the point of "knowing their roll." As of right now, all that is happening is them shutting their mouths. Nevertheless, I am still  going to visit this place in person.  Maybe things can be turned around. We will see.

Scheduled a couples massage appointment and later received a text message saying "Hi". When I…read moreresponded with "Hello" they texted back in Chinese with profanity. Unprompted and completely out of nowhere. This business is either a scam or extremely unprofessional. I tried calling back to see what the deal was and my number was blocked. My wife later called the same number and they picked up and acted as if they had no idea about the appointment or the text messages. There are plenty of massage places around the area please don't come here.

I don't…read moreget spa treatments often so I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed the overall experience. A variety of skin care products were used and my face was thoroughly massaged which was relaxing. I had extraction done which was slightly painful for a first time but my skin did feel a little smoother and clear afterwards. The facial specialist was friendly and answered all my questions and we made good conversation. I liked the service a lot and maybe the only thing that could improve was the option to play my own music or podcast since the same music was being played on loop.

The shop is new and business seems slow but it's a very comfy atmosphere and the lady was really nice and professional. I give the shop 5 stars because I honestly have no complaints. When I got there, the masseuse seemed surprised her business was even on Groupon. She asked how much I paid, then told me I needed an appointment. Me: "I know. That's why I'm here. For the appointment." Then came the next surprise. The Groupon was for a chair massage and reflexology, but she said she didn't even have a chair. For the chair massage she was advertising on Groupon?? Instead, both masseuses were just sitting there, totally available, and instead of honoring the Groupon they advertised, they wanted us to pay $160 out of pocket ($80 each). Apparently the Groupon was just there for decoration. Did I just get punked? Lady do you know much gas is?! So to recap: Bought Groupon Called and scheduled appointment Drove through thunderstorms and possible tornado weather Showed up on time Groupon honored Chair existed Massage received If you're not going to accept Groupon customers, don't advertise on Groupon. It'll save everyone time, gas money, and the joy of driving through severe weather just to be told the service you paid for is apparently imaginary.

I have checked out some of the types of services offered, but when I click on the link for more information, I get nothing. I have visited two locations of this business and plan for a third, but not when you can see what information is offered. Maybe prices or services have changed, but I can't tell, because the website is inadequate. The Yelp list of services are better for this business, but still do not show the prices....HOWEVER, there is good news:) Spoke with Ana and she told me Waxing is offered, but I will find out the prices for this later on. I wish to get the full list and see if prices have changed. Massage for 1 hour is $60.00 Body Scrub is $20 dollars extra. Four hands is going to be $120 with both women. I will check this place out some time this month or next month. If there is a forth Eutopia Massage, I haven't seen it yet. I am going for three locations under my belt...

Upon arrival, the owner was clearly upset and let out a frustrated huff that I was there to redeem the coupon. The massage felt rushed, uneven, rough pressure and was clear that my experience didn't matter. The masseuse (was also the salon manager) answered her phone during the massage two separate times and had a full conversation- didn't even try to wrap up the call. She was also texting and only used one hand to rub my legs. Upon leaving, the only thing she was interested in was counting my tip money immediately. This was very unfortunate that I wasn't treated like a real customer and it was purely transactional. I would absolutely save your money and avoid this place.

*Part 2 Of 2* 9/22/23…read moreTHE MASSAGE: Since massage is best when nude, this is exactly what I did.  I lay on top of the new sheeting, because  was suspicious about the sheeting underneath the new sheet  laid out. It might have been clean, but I didn't take that chance.  I also do not stick my face in the massge holes.  This is a very good way to get sick.  I think so anyways. Kathryn waited about 4 minutes before knocking on the door before entering.   I wasn't concerned about draping and apparently neither was  Kathryn.   Kathryn started on my neck with a great amount of pressure. She continued this by working on my arms, hands and back.  What really impressed me was the Thai Stretching Kathryn incorporated into my massage.    Kathryn continued with the preliminary massage by stretching the glutes maximus, legs and feet.  When I say stretching, I mean stretching.   It is not for the weak of heart.  When Kathryn was done with the preliminaries, she started back at my neck and shoulders, but with massage oil.  The Massage oil is unscented so have no fear ladies and gentleman.  The massage pressure Kathryn applied to my skin was steady and consistent.    Kathryn continued massaging my arms, neck, back, glutes maximus, legs and feet.    Ordinarily I prefer to have me feet massaged last, but I didn't let Kathryn know this at the time. I will do so the next time I am here with whoever the staff member...no,...massage therapist.     Massaging feet is not always done at massage palors.  Same can be said for face and head massage. This doesn't seem the case for Massage Joy:) The feet, legs and glutes maximus massage were the best part of the massage for me.  Whether on my stomach or back, Kathryn spend more time on those areas because I asked her too.    If there was any tension in the gluteus maximus, legs or feet, Kathryn eliminated this problem. Kathryn finished how she started the massage.  Kathryn did the Thai Stretching again and finished with the massage slaps I have experienced at so many other massage palors. If there is a more professional name for these massage slaps, I can think of it right now.  I don't feel like looking it up right now either. AFTER THE MASSAGE: Kathryn used a hot towel to remove some of...,  no,...a lot of the oil that was applied to my body.  I like to keep some oil on my body, but this time a little to much oil was used. Nevertheless, I think Kathryn (who might be the manager/owner of this establishment) did a fantastic job.  I do feel cleaning the oil off the walls might...will help improve the look of the business.   This is just one room I saw, but it left an impression on me. The bathroom looked neat and orderly; as well, as smelling "so fresh and clean, clean." From what I saw of the layout of the business, the employee hang out spot is straight down the hall from the front desk.  There are 4 massage rooms and the bathroom is on the left hand side past the first massage room on the right. In case I didn't say it,  Massage Joy is located on the second floor in building 241.  Very close to Sugar Spa.  A two minute walk away...if that long. I know I will try this place out at least two more times.  I love Thai Massage incorporated with the Swedish/Deep Tissue Massage. Especially without the loose clothing at is normally associated with it.  I give this place a 4 star review.  It would have been 5 stars, but the was an eyesore.
