If you're in need of a prenatal massage, see Amy at Ohana! She was so welcoming and attentive. I left my session feeling incredibly relaxed. The whole place is nicely decorated and inviting. And shout-out to the front desk staff who was very friendly and professional! Will definitely be back. read more

I spent 60 minutes with Noi and now I feel like a new woman. I get a lot of massages and I can say she is top notch! Especially loved what she did on my face/scalp. read more

I was excited to have a mother/daughter day starting with a 90 minute massage at Ohana Wellness. I booked the massages well in advance. My massage was going really well and then when it was over and I got dressed, I looked at the clock and the time showed one hour since the massage started. I left the room and told the masseuse that I had booked a 90 minute massage. She said that I had arrived 30 minutes late so she only gave me a 60 minute one. I corrected her that I had, in fact, arrived early for my massage. After a few minutes of confusion, she said "get back on the table, I'll work it out." I got undressed again and she finished the massage. But the interruption, having to get dressed, undressed and then redressed completely ruined the experience. When I mentioned this to the woman at the front desk, she barely said a word, and charged me for the 90 minutes (although the dressing/undressing lost about 10 minutes of time). I would NEVER go back to this place. I thought they handled this very unprofessionally (in fact not at all). The masseuse should know how long their customers are there for BEFORE they start, and OHANA should have compensated me for my lost time and not great experience. read more

Really wonderful experience. Carole has magical hands and really set the atmosphere from the get go. The studio is comfortable and the private rooms are modest but relaxing. Highly recommend for a treat yourself experience or to get some much needed de-knotting! read more

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Ohana Wellness! Devin was extremely kind, attentive, and took the time before we started to ask about my preferences and what specific pain or tension points I wanted to address. She was exceptionally professional and delivered an incredible, highly skilled massage. I left feeling refreshed and thoroughly cared for. Highly recommended! read more

Warm and welcoming experience at Ohana. It was my first time there and will return. Carole was an excellent massage therapist.

Love Ohana! Convenient location, calm chill atmosphere, great therapists. I'm an occasional visitor but always love my experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing pick me up. read more

I originally booked this massage as a Valentine's Day gift because of your high ratings. I truly do not understand how the business maintains such high reviews, as I have now had two very disappointing experiences back to back. During my first visit, I specifically requested a deep tissue massage. However, the therapist applied almost no pressure. I stopped her three separate times within the first 20 minutes to explain that I needed significantly more pressure. Instead of adjusting properly, she continued to lather oil and focus almost exclusively on my upper left side. It honestly felt more like she was lightly petting me rather than performing a professional massage. Each time I expressed my concerns, she said she would adjust, but either no real pressure was applied or when she attempted to apply pressure, it felt very off and uncomfortable. The technique did not feel professional, and I actually began to feel physical discomfort. I became so stressed and upset that I started crying and ultimately asked to end the session early. After speaking with the owner, it was agreed that I could return for another session since the first massage ended after only 20 minutes -- during which I had already voiced my needs multiple times that were not met. For my second visit, I carefully selected a different therapist online, hoping this person would better meet my needs. Unfortunately, this experience was also very disappointing. The room was extremely cold and the heating blanket on the bed was not working. The lotion being used was also very cold, and the massage therapist's hands were cold as well. There was no attempt to warm up her hands or the products before applying them. I had goosebumps the entire time and was unable to relax -- I was actually very tense throughout the session. I mentioned multiple times how uncomfortable I was. There was a small heater in the room that was initially placed far from the bed. She eventually moved it closer, which helped slightly (maybe 10%), but the heating blanket was not replaced and no additional effort was made to properly warm the room or ensure I was comfortable. Unfortunately, the massage itself also did not feel professional. The technique felt very basic and light, and it did not meet the expectations I had for a professional service. To be honest, I felt like my fiancé could have done the same -- if not better. Overall, this was not the experience I was hoping for -- especially as it was meant to be a thoughtful Valentine's gift. I left feeling disappointed rather than relaxed. read more

Meghan was terrific. Great full body massage, liked her technique. Really nice vibe and comfortable to be with. So relaxing! Front desk staff is exceptional, kind and helpful. Love the waiting area, tea, amenities, and massage rooms (generous size), nicely decorated. I appreciate the zen vibe throughout the office, bathroom, massage rooms. It all makes a difference. Parking tough but I got lucky with a spot right out front. I had allowed extra time because of the snow & I knew it might be tricky parking sit. I had plenty of time so it was fine. All Ohana spaces taken in back. read more

I had never had a massage. This one was a gift from my daughter. Carole was welcoming, reassuring, and really attentive in assessing what would work well. She created a wonderful experience, gentle and yet deep enough to reach the stress points in my neck. This adventure into something new was a delight. The center itself is lovely and clean and the receptionist welcoming too. read more

Alain is an amazing practitioner and therapist. I have gone 3 times and have booked several more. Superb - thank you! read more

My first appointment with ohana. I went to Carole after reading the reviews, they do not do her justice. She is amazing. I had a small workout injury on my back. Even though it was small, it was pretty painful. I am so much improved in 24 hours. She is more of a practitioner than anything else. She is absolutely fabulous. I would be sitting in so much pain today if it was not for her. To say it was super therapeutic is an understatement. I am so grateful. At my age, I think I'm gonna have to visit her on a semi regular basis just to keep myself maintained. Thank you Carole. read more

I had my second appointment with Acupuncturist Malka this morning. She did a follow-up on my condition following our first session. There was no remarkable change, but she indicated from the start that it usually takes a few sessions before changes evidence themselves. The outstanding qualities that Malka has that make a difference in each session are that she instills trust on the part of her patients in her expertise to administer treatment, is intuitive in interpreting her patients' concerns/questions and possesses a calming, caring nature. I look forward to our appointment next week! Karen B. read more

Carole is amazing! She is very skilled and a great healer. I highly recommend working with her!!!

excellent massages and great location The ambiance is so comfortable and the staff are helpful and kind

The temperature of the room and bed are always perfect. Monica was exceptional. She did a little bit of stretching in addition to the massage. She worked hard for the entire full hour even spending an extra few minutes just to work a few tight muscles. Greta also does an amazing job as well. Excellent pressure and comfort. read more

Ohana Wellness is a fantastic spa! Well runned, excellent message therapist, clean and zen. Highly recommend !!

Horrible. They charge you even if they don't give you a service. Watch your credit card. Don't give them your number. They will steal your number. read more

Excellent massage. I had knotted muscles and that's all gone now. Very welcoming team. I highly recommend Ohana. I will be back.

Amy was fabulous. Totally addressed myproblem areas and it was so really relaxing! Would highly recommend Ohana and Amy specifically.

I've been working with Malka at Ohana Wellness for several years now, primarily for allergies and anxiety, and I can honestly say that acupuncture has transformed my life. From the very first intake session, Malka was kind, inquisitive, and incredibly informative. She takes the time to truly listen, asking thoughtful questions to understand what's going on in your body and mind. She then creates a personalized plan--whether it's weekly, biweekly, monthly, or seasonal treatments--based on what will support you best. I wouldn't be able to handle DC's brutal allergy season without my acupuncture sessions. It has not only helped me transition off allergy medications but has also provided a natural, holistic way to manage anxiety. The peace and calm I feel after each session have had a profound impact on my life--my work, my family, and my overall well-being. If you've been searching for an effective, natural solution for stress, anxiety, allergies, or overall wellness, this is your sign to book an appointment with Malka. She is truly one of a kind, and I cannot recommend her enough! read more

I'd been looking for a new massage therapist for several months and had tried 3 or 4. None were "just right," until I got to Ohana today. My therapist, Stacey, gave me a thorough therapeutic massage, specifically working on a few injuries and sore places. Her excellent training and experience were evident as soon as she began working on me and I relaxed immediately and enjoyed the experience and the space which was very quiet and healing. Ohana is a lovely, cozy place, super clean and smells yummy. Everyone there is professional and the prices are competitive for the area (Bethesda) but also a good value considering the quality of massage. I will now get back into my schedule of massage every two or three weeks. read more

There's nothing like finding a space that makes all the realities of the world drift away. This is exactly what getting a massage here is like. From the moment you step inside you can already feel the calmness. The communication, clarity with questions answered & treatment of their customers is excellent. Nicole was my massage therapist, she was warm and helped me quickly figure out what I may need some work on based on me sharing some info with her. She had the magic touch and the massage truly helped my entire body feel rejuvenated after she was done. I'm always into the atmosphere & calmness of spaces with light and scents when getting a massage; they have done very well in that department. The candles and warm white colors & tones, as well as subtle scents that drifted around were fantastic. I was never distracted from any outside noise either (despite it being almost directly near a new construction site during this visit), which I was pleasantly surprised by as I am easily distracted when hearing outside noises. I've been to several other places around the DC area and this may be one of my favorites. I can't wait to come back for some more detox from the world. Thanks to the kind people working there and at the front desk waiting area. read more

Amazing p look ace to get a massage. Conveniently located in Bethesda. They are open 7 days a week and it is easy to book online.

Adore this woman owned business so much that I tell everyone I know to give up the expensive spa trips and just come here! Everyone I have been to thus far has been so kind, incredibly respectful and welcoming. I have also had the privilege of doing a few acupuncture settings with Malka who is an absolute treasure. read more

Just had a massage with Amy. My experience was "meh", mediocre at best. The room was super cold and noisy with the air purifier and air conditioning (even after I asked to turn it down). The massage oil she used was also cold which made me even colder. The massage technique was basic. It was pleasant but not therapeutic at all. The spa atmosphere is just ok - clean but dates and does not feel calming or relaxing. read more

After my first massage at Ohana Wellness, I have very mixed feelings. On the one hand, Nicole is clearly a skilled massage therapist and was super respectful, and I was extremely relaxed throughout the session. However, there are several reasons I'm not rating Ohana higher than three stars: 1) After a massage, my muscles normally feel much less tight for the next few days. That didn't happen this time. I now realize I wasn't even asked when I booked what kind of massage I wanted: Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Sports, etc. (Ohana offers all and more.) 2) Communication with Ohana was just so-so. I would text to ask about availability, and sometimes I would get a reply very quickly...but sometimes I wouldn't hear back for more than a day, and twice I did not hear back at all -- including when I had accepted a time slot that was never confirmed...and was then given to someone else. 3) Nicole put on a mask when she saw that I was wearing one. I wish the people who greeted me when I walked in had masked as well -- at least while there were customers around. 4) Ohana is wildly expensive. I realize rent in Bethesda isn't cheap, but this was way more than I paid for my last massage, which was a few months ago in North Bethesda -- at another business with five stars on Yelp. Sure; Ohana is in a better location, but that doesn't account for the huge price difference. This massage was a birthday gift from my parents, and they encouraged me to go all out. I only wish I had tried somewhere else. I was really expecting this experience to be top-notch, and unfortunately, it fell short. read more

I've been visiting Ohana Wellness for outstanding massages for years and my experience today with Wendy met that lofty standard. Whether I've needed some pain or tension relief or just a break from the grind of life to relax, the friendly, professional, and skillful therapists at Ohana have been more than up to the task. Communication has been awesome to ensure every massage was tailored to my specific needs for that session. The facility is super clean, nicely decorated and warm and inviting, making me feel right at home. I've never had problems finding a parking spot out back or on street in front. Highly recommend! read more

If you are in need of some relaxation and me time, I highly suggest checking out Ohana Wellness. They recently renovated and the space is really calming and relaxing. If you are expecting to come to a spa with a lounge to wind down and veg after your massage or that offers spa water/other goodies, this isn't the place for you. It's essentially no frills with a small waiting area and several treatment rooms on the first and second floors. There's four dedicated parking spots in the rear of the building, metered parking, or garage parking nearby. Once your treatment is booked, you'll receive an email with instructions for your visit and a code to enter the suite. I've been here a few times now ( twice for a prenatal massage and once for a Swedish massage) and no matter what massage therapist I have had, they have all been fantastic! What I love about Ohana is the fact that the therapists spend the full 30/60/90 minutes of your treatment actually working on you. They don't deduct those several minutes during your intake off of your massage like most other spas do. The massage therapists also take the time to really understand your needs and what you are there for. Talking during your massage is kept to a minimum and the amount of pressure applied is confirmed at the beginning of the massage. I never thought I'd enjoy more of a hard/deep pressure (generally tend to stay with medium pressure), but boy do I come out feeling great after 60 minutes. If you are looking for a spa to get a massage from friendly and professional therapists in a small, relaxing environment, Ohana Wellness is for you. read more

Had a great massage by Stacey ! Deep tissue ! Solid inviting place , great atmosphere!

I had an issue today with parking causing me to be late. they were so understanding and my massage therapist Amy gave me my full hour in spite of being late. I've seen Amy a number of times. She is a terrific therapist and she never disappoints. I like the quaintness of being in a house but suspect it would be difficult to use the stairs if one has mobility issues. read more

Ohana came highly recommended from my doula. I had a 90 min prenatal massage session with Eva to help with lower back pain. The massage was amazing and most importantly effective in relieving my pain. She made a point to check in with me throughout the massage to make sure that the pressure and technique were ok. I look forward to working with Eva during this last bit of my third trimester to relieve back pain. She is personable, polite, and professional. Highly recommend. read more

I had my first massage at Ohana since Covid started, and it was great. I saw Greta, because my former regular therapist Brigitte has now become too popular, no doubt because of my previous reviews. (Is that an indication of being a narcissist? This word barely existed before a certain person came along to revive it.) My previous reviews of Ohana were sort of like drunk texting, but I can assure you that I am cold sober for this review. Because of covid, my therapist greeted me in a hazmat suit ... no I'm joking! I was able to relax quite easily even though this was a new therapist. Because I'm old, I no longer have to worry about an inappropriate body response other than the occasional fear of farting (This is where the term old fart originated.) In fact, I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. As far as I know the therapist did not leave the room and start playing cards, but my eyes were closed for modesty reasons. I can't see myself naked. (Quick: R.E.M song, Night Swimming). Oh, wait a minute, I don't want to give anyone the impression that I was naked. I was covered by a mountain of sheets and blankets. It was 20 degrees outside. I would highly recommend Ohana Wellness, although in the future they may request that I curtail my yelp reviews. So quick summary: great massage, good place to go. read more
