It's a cute place with lots of screens, and I could see how it would be fun to eat in here as a group. I asked the person who prepped the pizza if they use the same pans for both gluten free and not and she said yes, cause the heat kills the germs. Not celiac safe. Recently enjoyed their personal gluten free vegetarian pizza. Soooo good, just perfect. Crust was dry and crusty. I love cheese and there was plenty. My husband and I love coming here. It's our new favorite pizza place. The food, service and ambiance is wonderful. We try to come every other weekend, sometimes more. The only complaint is the floor. We used to eat here all the time but this most recent time the service was awful. Ordered the family meal deal for $29.99 as advertised and the sign on the front door shows 4 drinks with dine- in as it always has. When we ordered got told it only comes with 2 drinks. So I was charged for 2 more drinks. So when I brought to their attention the worker who I think is the owner argued with and told me I was wrong and lifted up a sign that was underneath another promotion to show me. I told him , no the sign on the outside of the door shows 4 drinks with dine in with that special. He continued to argue with me and shook his finger at me and still said no... then he said oh, I will go cross it out. Be ware... I think it's under new ownership and it's terrible! Have me all un cooked from one side had to go back again , they re - cooked The food when I came back home still it was same thing . I will eat the salad that my granddaughter does not want. She said no sharing, well never going again after so many years and much money spent. In support of our son's school fundraiser we tried to order pizza here. It looked good with the reviews and pics and we were excited to try. Our experience is based off of the customer service aspect. I placed an order and the employee answered took my order and address for delivery but said I'll call you back for the total. That was odd but I wasn't worried yet, I waited 20 min before calling back trying to confirm my order. She stated yes it is ordered. 1.5 hrs later I call and asked for an update, the next employee then stated it would be another 45-1hr. I've never had a pizza delivery take over two hours to receive. This place should not do fundraising if they are not prepared for the uptick of orders. Whoever the management/owner is... they did not prepare the poor employees for this fundraising event. We came here to watch the basketball game, but to my surprise a bunch of people were watching the UFC fights. We ordered two small personal pizzas and an appetizer to share. The food total was about $35 without tip and we bought thought it was pricey. I wanted to find out why it cost so much, but the lady didn't want to give me a receipt showing the breakdown. The wait for our food was extremely long. I understand pizza takes a long time to make, but even our appetizer took forever. We waited 40 minutes for all our foods to come and it wasn't that great. I had asked for extra pineapples and it didn't seem like they honored that. After eating, we wanted to check our the arcade in the back. We were disappointed at it, it was super small and only one machine worked. Overall, it's a nice place to watch the game. It wasn't at all too crowded. There's also a spot/room for celebrations. Im not one to complain, and usually I have high reviews for this place but... The app said it would take an hour to receive our order, ok that's fine. After that hour goes by we get a call saying they have no bread for the Italian sandwich we ordered. So they ask if we would prefer twists in place of it. I responded with knowing If the rest of our food is already ready, (no one wants cold food). She replied with the pizza is getting put in the oven as we speak. So I reply with ok cool, can we get mozzarella sticks to sub for the Italian sandwich. The girl on the phone was very accommodating. ANOTHER hour later and we get our order but everything is cold. Super solid pizza spot! This specific Straw Hat is excellent. The customer service is accommodating and super great! It was really nice to feel welcome right off the bat. The gal that was working tonight was a pro at what she does! I really do have to say. With that said, I ordered 6 buffalo wings with Ranch and blue cheese and a medium "works," Pizza with extra pepperoni. Honestly, not the greatest of pies or wings. But, the overall pick up experience and how flawless it was makes up for the superb taste one was hoping to find. The place has a lot of TV's. There's something fabulous about having a local pizza shop that nails everything they do. Straw Hat is one of those pizza joints in this part of the Bay. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch and a side of wings. Now, the wings weren't anything special to write about. Just your typical pizza shop hot wings. Spice level was good but the wings were just middle of the road. The pizza though! Oh man...so much flavor and taste packed into a circular food. We demolished the pizza as quickly as we got due to a mix of hunger and taste.
