Pulling off the highway to a brewery in Utah County my hopes were pretty low. When we pulled in the lot the line was out the door. We shuffled past everyone and found a seat at the bar. I sampled some light beer which was on all honesty pretty watery, not my fav for light beer. As we waited for 10+ minutes for the bar tender to come back to get our drink and food order we watched him walk in circles and talk to the wait staff next to us, all while ignoring the lack of food and drink in front of us. A few of staff seemed annoyed we sat on that side of the bar, not by the wait station but next to it. We were asked if we were almost done before we even had our drinks and food! WTF...lol We got the Pub Burger. The bacon jam was awesome . Quick question: do you know the difference between jam and jelly? (DM me for the answer.) the burgers and fries were pretty good. Then came time for the check....which took about 15 minutes to get after we sat there with empty plates. All in all the food was good but the staff at the bar and bar area had their heads in the clouds. Not fun on a Saturday night. read more

The folks at the SC set me over, and I'm glad they did. I had the Prime Rib Dip with fries. It was spot on! Tender meat and the roll made the sandwich. Soft and chewy the way it should be. Edited for clarification: Upon arriving tonight, I was told that our party of 8 (5 adults, 3 kids) couldn't be seated at all (it was 5pm), even though we were fine waiting. It took several minutes for her to figure out that there were actually a couple tables available, which was strange. Most importantly, please fix your ADA compliance and consideration. We happily waited extra time to not sit by the band (we have 2 family members that wear hearing aids). After having that conversation with both hostesses (and being told that there was a table away from the band) we were still placed right in front of the band tonight. They showed us the table and just walked away. There were at least 3 other tables we could have been seated at tonight; even the waitress agreed. We left and had an amazing experience elsewhere. This is the 3rd time in a year we've had problems with the hostesses and have ended up leaving. Tonight was the only time we had a special circumstance. This has been our favorite place to bring out of town family since you've opened, but something changed in the last year. Ate here about 5 times, twice at the bar, but have not been back in many months. 3 out of 5 times were for band and enjoyed the entertainment although they must be the only local band in Utah. This place does have a great selection of tap beer, it's a nice bar area and deserve a higher rating, but because they have a few regulars who seem to drink to much and tend to get weird, my girlfriend does not want to go back, will wait and see if time heals. read more

I've never been here before but I have heard great things, so I decided to check it out. Upon arrival you will have a larger parking lot that is shared between a couple other businesses. We came towards the end of the day and we're met by a friendly host at the door. She took our phone number and told us about a 15 minute wait, despite the business being relatively empty. We waited outside for about 20 minutes and then decided to check in. They had sent us a text message that I somehow missed five minutes earlier and the hostess informed us that we lost our reservation (in this empty restaurant). I asked her if there is still any table available and that we would wait for it. The hostess made it seem like there would be an even longer wait and possibly no table available, she then went to ask for help. The next worker came in a couple minutes and immediately sat us at an empty table surrounded by other empty tables. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was there, but it was very odd. This is place is nicely decorated in old Americana designs with old motorcycle parts and surfing photos hanging out. I like stuff like that, so it was cool to see some of that history. We ordered food and drinks and they came pretty quickly. I decided to take a chance with their streak and ordered "rare". I will have you know that their chef cooked this steak to near perfection. This was MUCH more than I was expecting from a bar and grill type venue. This is probably the best steak I've ever had for this price point. It wasn't the best cut of meat and still was cooked flawlessly. I would definitely come here again just for that steak. Please give your chef a raise. They saved this experience for me with excellent food quality. The beer was fine, no complaints, but when you order a mix drink or cocktail, expect your pour to be extremely light or your drink to be mostly ice. The dessert was great, their peach cobbler was delicious. All in all, I'd come here again but really only for that steak. I would likely skip purchasing any adult drinks and go for something simple like a soda. read more

We LOVE strap tank .... it's always such a treat! We love the atmosphere and (obviously) the food. We took both sets of parents here for their Christmas present - it was fun to try so many things!! (We went at night, that's why the pictures are dark.) My mom tried the fish and chips (not pictured) and they were fried to perfection. They say this is their most popular menu item! The fish tacos are delightful (not pictured). My dad got those and loved them! I got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the shrimp was perfectly seasoned. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast. It was our first time trying Strap Tank Brewery and we were pleasantly surprised! It was very clean and the staff were all super friendly! For drinks, we ordered their crafted sodas (Pineapple and Orange Cream) and although they were delicious, they were heavily sweet. I ordered the Deep Fried Blueberry French Toast. It had a perfect crunch on the outside and pillowy softness on the inside, that paired with the bourbon maple syrup was an amazing bite! I do, however, wish I would have gotten more blueberries with the French Toast. My husband ordered the Big John Sandwich and although he said it was a good sandwich he did not finish it and was not a fan of the breakfast potatoes. But we both devoured the French Toast. Eclectic interior for a brewery. Variety of food options from salads to burgers , Mac and cheese on steroids (had bacon, jalapeños, onion rings, toasted bread, and creamy sauce). As I am GF, the taco salad was a good choice without chicken. The serving size was generous as was the Mac and cheese. Avocado Ranch dressing on the side of my salad was perfect! I was very specific on my bourbon- half bourbon; half water on the other pools and it was perfectly balanced as requested. Beer in a mug was the good choice for hubby and he enjoyed the IPA. Food was good enough...little slow getting anything from the bar but my qualm is the menu .. Pre-Covid it was much more expansive.. Dinners choices for a lot of different taste including spaghetti squash for the more keto friendly diets. So, I ordered the fish and chips. I upsized the fish to get three pieces and replace the chips with onion rings. The fish was really good. Cook just right with not too much better. That's just the way I like it. The onion rings were OK. By the time I got them, they were a little cool, so cold by the time I finished them. They had lost their crisp. I think if they were hot, they would have been great. Again not to much batter. My wife got the Wedge Salad. That is a favorite. The blue cheese and bacon complement the crisp iceberg lettuce. WARNING: Two part; I've edited my original review. Monday night was a slammed night at this place with a 15 minute wait at 6:30. We got a table along a wall, and Jordyn was our server. She was friendly, accommodating, and obviously extremely busy but never made us feel rushed. Visiting from out of town, we ventured here because of Yelp and the look of the place. The food was terrific. My burger was thick, juicy, medium rare, and perfect. The sweet potato fries were really good, apparently home cut. the only disappointment was that they don't have honey for the sweet potato fries, and they don't have fried eggs for the burgers (how odd, never seen a place like this without fried egg for a burger?) We left Jordyn a nice tip for being so kind, sharing stories when she could, and her attentiveness to our drinks, ensuring we never ran dry. Between us three, we had 11 beers and sodas. We decided to return the next night. (Part 2) We drew Davee as our server. She was nasty, coarse, and made us feel like we were an imposition on her time from the moment we sat down. My boss asked for a "Lager" and for whatever reason she thought he said "water" and said "why would you come to a brewery and drink water?" She wasn't joking. Then after a long wait for our drinks, she showed up asking for our order. Because they use online QR code for their menus, I'd forgotten the name of the burger I wanted, and while I was trying to reload my phone with the QR code, she said "I'm really busy, " walked off, and left us for another 10 minutes! I ordered a medium rare bacon cheeseburger with no garden, no mayo, and BBQ sauce on the side with ketchup. Simple. Same as I'd had the previous night. It gets worse. She took our order, and by the time it was ready all three of us were dry. She did eventually ask if we wanted more beer. We did, and my soda was less than 1/3 full, but she didn't bring another soda. Then the food comes, and my fries are cold, the burger was half as thick, not at all juicy, dry, and there was no ketchup and no BBQ sauce on the burger nor on the side. I commented the fries were cooler than room temp (Who likes cold fries)? and Davee snobbily replied "Ill get you some fresh fries, give me a minute. " Disappears, and my burger grows cold while I wait for ketchup and fresh fries. I ended up going to someone else' table and asking if I might borrow their ketchup. Then my soda runs dry. We wait another five minutes (now ten total) for my fries, and a refill on my drink. Nope...no Davee in sight. Macrae(sp?) walks by and I ask him to please bring me a drink because Davee has gone missing. He brought me a sode within a couple of minutes, when she strolls out with fresh fries to go alongside my wafer-thin hard-as-hockey-puck microburger. She then says "how did you get another drink?" just as Macrae walks by again. I stopped him, gave him a $5.00 tip, and didn't respond to her bitchy question. She asked how we were paying, and if we were splitting the tab. No question of did we want more beer, soda, dessert...It felt like "get the hell out of here now" vs "thank you for coming." It was a surreal experience, our over-the-top service with Jordyn, and our "bottom five in 60 years of eating out" experience with Davee. Had Macrae not been there to get a soda and provide utensils to our table, we likely would have walked out just as our food arrived. We were excited at first blush, and disgusted the second night. We work in Provo 4-5 times a year, and will not be returning to this circus of inconsistency. BTW, when we got lost finding the place, Ricky, your neighbor pointed us the right direction. Shame your employees aren't as nice as the guy who has the mules next door to your place. Is it possible for an eating establishment to be schizophrenic? Fried pickles are a must. The fish and chips were great. My wife's French dip was skimpy on the meat. My daughter's burger was average. The live band was fun for some but I would prefer some were quieter. They did not have a Hefeweizen available for me which made me sad. read more

I've been to both the Lehi location and the Springville location. Springville is the one to visit. The staff is way more friendly and on top of things. Lehi...not so much. Craft beer is ok for what I'm used to in NM but great for Utah standards. I'm bias, I'll admit. The Siason is really good but because this state has really stupid liquor laws you can't order it at the restaurant or bar, you have to buy it then take it home. Which I'm sure it would taste great on tap. So regret moving here based on just that, but I digress. They also make probably the best Moscow Mule I've ever had. Try that and the Southern Mule. Fantastic! Food is really good. I've had a few of the things on the menu and the recommend it all. The jalapeño bread twist appetizer was good considering the area and how Utans see "Mexican food". Wait staff is courteous and bar staff is top shelf. I'd put money on the one armed bar tender against anyone. Seriously one arm, ok, well 1 3/4 arm but still, he's a friggin rock star. Kick ass dude. I responded to the noise level question as "loud" but that's probably not fair because there was a musician here at the time. Men's room was clean and not smelly. Some graffiti on the walls but it's mostly MAGA and eff Joe Biden so is it really graffiti? I enjoy the place as it reminds me of my favorite spot where I came from. They serve good food, good beer and you don't have to worry about getting stabbed in the parking lot or at the bar. We've been going to the Strap Tank for years and have a personal connection to it. In the beginning, the food and service were top notch, just excellent. During the past few years, both food and service have been going downhill. All our favorites, chicken fried chicken, coconut shrimp, wedge salad etc are on par with Dennys quality food. We went in on a slower Sunday night hoping to be in and out for a quick bite. We were sat and waited 10+ minutes to get our servers attention. My wife and I both got the chicken fried chicken (CFC) which came out pretty quick. The food was cold and limp. I literally had to ask what the white, gelatinous substance on the food was, it was cold, flavorless gravy. The chicken was burnt and dark brown (I'm 100% convinced that the chicken is frozen Tyson chicken patties like you get from Walmart). We complained about the inedible food, but oddly enough the server only brought my wife new food which he said he "made himself." When the new food came out, although it was hotter than the first round of food, it was the exact same nearly inedible garbage they brought out the first time. Needless to say, we didn't eat much of it, something our server seemed to not care about. This trip, probably our final time was an expensive realization that the Strap Tank is headed down hill. Our friends and other reviews point to this fact sadly. I truly hope Rick listens to his customers. read more

We sat out the bar at the s brewery and enjoyed delicious food and yummy spicy margaritas. The customer service was great and the ambience was pretty awesome. Made for a fun little weekend outing. WOW WOW, This was a great find! First the decor. So much fun to have the bike antiques and paraphernalia to enhance your experience. There was actually a large hole in the ceiling about our table. Interesting. Drew took care of our needs and was friendly and attentive. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. The pita bread was warm and the dip had plenty of cheese and artichokes. No skimping there however it could have been a bit hotter. It was still delicious. For the main courses we tried the fish and chips and the chicken enchiladas. The fish was tasty, hot and the two pieces were large. The chicken enchiladas were awesome. The chicken was tender and delicious. Rice was fluffy and the beans were creamy. Large portions. Some may think it's a little pricey but by today's standards it's the norm for a decent meal. Strap Tank Brewing Co. ( @straptankbrewerylehi ) is this cute brick building, with #steampunk meets #vintagecircus decor! They're on the top of Traverse Mountain, right across, from the outlet mall. It's a fun spot, to enjoy with the fam or gab, with the gals! They're known for brewing their yummy flavored #SODAS , not beer here folks! Sorry, everyone else, in the world ~ this is Utah style brewing! I got to try their Concord Grape, and as a typically non-soda drinker (I didn't drink the stuff, until I got married!), I actually enjoyed it! It's more flavor, than soda, and not too sweet ~ I really like that! I'll definitely try their other flavors, next time! Our favorites were the #PrimeRibDip and the #PhillyCheesesteak sandwiches! Their mac needs a little work (we're all obsessed, with mac n' cheese!), but their #BeerBatteredFries , are heavenly!!! Also, don't forget the #StrapTankCheeseBread , there is cheese...stuffed...in the middle ~ you can thank me later!!! There's so MUCH to see and try here, that the whole family, will love it too!
