Hey I love the food and the beer. What I don't like is the turnover of people who work here. What is going on? I live down the block, and I appreciate seeing a familiar face, instead of seeing someone different attending the bar every month. Is it an awful place to work? I love this place. I've been here a few times and their pizza is delicious. If you love thin crusted pizza then go to this little spot. The beer is great too! This place has karaoke on Thursday nights and they do trivia as well. The owners of this place I believe are from west Kendall and picked the perfect spot for this restaurant. The service is fast. I would buy this in bulk. We ordered two appetizers and the garlic aioli that came with the roasted potatoes was superbbbbb. I would dip the pizza in this! Honestly I was not expecting it to be this amazing. I was really blown away by the creative flavors and how delicious it was. We ordered online and picked up. It was pretty quick. There was one table with a group of people but I just walked in and out quickly. So this place is also a brewery and while I did not purchase any beer at this time I have had the pleasure of tasting their amazing beers elsewhere. They usually do collabs with Lincoln's beard and since they are closer to me I have bought beers there. Fyi..."lawyers can't surf" is pretty awesome! We tried the cheese pizza, the chopped pepperoni and the mushroom. The dough is delicious and crisp and the sauce is perfect. The mushroom does not have red sauce but it's loaded with shrooms and topped with scallions, which adds to the flavor. The place is easy to find. There is a good amount of parking spaces and looks spacious even though it's Definitely looking forward to order again. read more

I have to first start off by saying that everyone at SB are amazing! They are like family to me. I've never felt more welcomed to a place like I have here and Lincoln's Beard. Now with phase one happening, I have to say that they have gone above and beyond what is needed to ensure the safety of the staff and their patrons. I felt very safe to go in and enjoy a beer and food like I use to pre-covid. Now let me just give a shout out to one of my new favorite beers, which is Old News! And also for food the abuela's picadillo pizza is the perfect balance of salty and sweetness. I rather enjoy this little bar. They have a nice variety of beers, very good pizza, and a great staff. Plus, Thursdays is karaoke night and, even though I never, ever come even close to the microphone, quite a few friends do and it gets really entertaining. It is not an overwhelming variety of beers where it will take you hours to decide, but there are enough, and each different beer has its own distinct flavor. I got the Baby Godzilla pizza [House Sauce, Mozzarella, Los Tanitos Spicy Chorizo, Fennel Seed, Bell Pepper, Red Onion] and, to be completely honest, I didn't expect such a good pizza from a bar, but I'd go to Strange Beast just for for the pizza any time. It is a pizzeria pizza, not a bar pizza, if you know what I mean. The service is so friendly you almost feel at home... better than home, because at home people tell you to go get your beer yourself and you have to do your own dishes, but you know what I mean. So tonight we decided to try strange beast and were sadly very disappointed. The pizza was super burnt and the burnt bread is all you could taste even over the garlic. We also ordered the meatball appetizer, although they tasted good, they were very small. What a great and cool local bar in Kendall, just what we needed! I loved the atmosphere of this place. I came here with a group of friends and we happened to stumble upon a live performance which we thought was great. The only downside is that the music was insanely loud that I could barely hear the person talking in front of me in the table. We sat down without a problem on a Friday night even though it there a was a crowd. Browsing the menu they had a good beer selection, but unfortunately a couple were crossed off that I wanted to try out. We ended up going outside and playing some corn hole because of how loud the music was and enjoyed the time spent playing and drinking. The atmosphere is very casual and the staff makes you feel right at home and set the vibe. You seat yourself and order at the bar. The pizza and beer selection is small but in this case, less is more. At first bite or first sip, it's easy to see that everything is carefully crafted. Both pizza and beer burst with authentic, rich flavors. I've found my new favorite spot and the best pizza in Kendall. Actually, it's close to being the best I've had in Miami. West Kendall needed a place like this for a very long time, the pizza is absolutely incredible and the best thing is that they also have seasonal pizzas, so every time you go you can try something different although I will forever be a white pizza fan. Make sure you try their honey! Between their absolutely delicious selection of craft beer, incredible pizza and warm, friendly staff, it's a winning spot for a drink and a snack. My friend and I went on a week night a little before dinner time and shared their new special pizza, handcrafted by the creator, Val. It was a Moroccan style pizza with a cold cucumber sour cream topping. The contrasting flavors and temperatures were exactly what I wanted but never knew I needed. Seriously opened my eyes. All of the ingredients are prepped on site with love and attention...you can taste the passion in every bite. I can't wait to go back to try all of their pizza combinations, especially the Shroom pizza. I had one of their name sake brews, the "Lawyers don't surf." It's a juicy, unfiltered IPA, and it's delicious. They also have one of my favorite IPAs of all time on draft, Reef Donkey. Great neighborhood spot, but worth sitting in Miami traffic for if you don't live in the area. read more
