Shojo's Dojo is quite a hidden gem! Nestled in Kendall, it's a bar lounge that you would not expect to see. The decor is very unique, it's like the owners traveled afar, collected cool souvenirs along the way and decided to decorate this establishment with said souvenirs - I like it! Felt like I was transported into an "I Spy" book. The drinks are refreshing, and are priced very reasonably well. There is quite a lot of space to spread out and hang out. There are board games available and tv to watch in the bar area. In the back there is a pool table and a karaoke machine to sing if desired. My favorite part about this establishment was the $1 cup ramen that was offered on the menu. After having a couple drinks here, the ramen tastes amazing!! Even if it's just cup noodles!! My experience here was unique, I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely come back here to have a couple drinks and eat $1 ramen again

As a lover of Japanese food, I've naturally become a sake fan over time. I've yet to find my favorite, as I feel like I can always be in the mood for any of them haha. When I found out this place was opening up over a year ago now, I was so excited. I thought, "Miami gets to have their first sake brewery AND it's locally owned???" I went opening weekend and enjoyed some sake with friends. Last night, I came back for a second time and was happy to see they had expanded! More sake and beer options were available and it was filled with groups of people enjoying themselves. As any brewery, you have your fair share of board games and tv's playing sports games. I loved the ambiance and the staff was honestly amazing. I will absolutely be trying more of their sake!

Officially my favorite spot here in Miami! Always such good vibes and amazing drinks, not to mention delicious pop-up food vendors. All of their specialty cocktails are a must try. My favorite is the bamboozled! So good! And of course, they have an amazing selection of sake to sip on. Definitely try their house sake! You won't regret it! The service is always on point, with the friendliest of faces to greet you and take your order. Check them out asap! You will thank me! Miami is truly lucky to finally have a sake, beer and wine spot! It's unique and fun! Oh and you'll leave there learning a lot! I love that they also educate you about what you are having. It's great to have a better understanding!

Chill spot, nice people, good pop up food. We went for the Hanzo sushi, excellent food made by a cool guy named Fabian. We tried a few beers on tap, unfortunately I did not find my new favorite beer that day but I'll have to go back to try the rest, along with their saki. The location is dim and really does promote a relaxing atmosphere. A cool spot to take someone on a very low key date to lounge and maybe play some pool. I see in their socials that they are always hosting events and pop ups so there's always something new going on. Check it out!

Come get a taste of a the Far East in the South West! This place rocks. Had an awesome time out with the guys on a Friday night. Like most guys, we're into beer, but we craving Sake this night. The ambiance was a winner from the moment we stepped in. Think funky chill lounge \ brewery mashup. We started the night with some Japanese snacks and Sake bombs. After that we did some excellent Sake tastings, then Sake Cocktails, and finished it off sharing a 'One-Cup' of Kikuri Perfect Snow - Cloudy Sake. That one was my favorite. The place is very near the Tropical park area. Parking wasn't too bad. There's also a few cool places within walking distance. The owners really are into their craft and they've trained their staff really well. They know their stuff, they're passionate about it and it shows. We'll be back.

Super cool, ambience and really nice staff and patrons, but the sake is incredibly overpriced.

I love to see good people building great things!! What a fun, easy, chill vibe. Absolutely delicious, ice cold, beer. The orange sale slushie?! **chef's kiss** the music? Banging. The vibe?! Impeccable.

This place just opened in my neighborhood on Saturday so of course we were there to check it out on Sunday. They're a sake and beer brewery and I've recently developed a taste for sake and my wife loves beer so it's a place literally made for us! Haidar and Marilyn (the owners/brewers) were lovely; friendly and willing to tell us all about their vision and crafts, obviously passionate about their new venture. Haidar has an extensive history in brewing in the area (they're both Miami natives) and his knowledge is clearly being put to good use considering the quality of their product. I had their house-brewed sake (unpasteurized and undiluted), which was moderate and fragrant and delicious! (I liked it so much I had 4 glasses!) I can't wait for their next offerings, which I'm told will include drier table sakes. My wife had one of their rice-brewed lagers and she loved it. (I'm a little fuzzy on the beer details as I was too busy enjoying my sake. Ha!) The bar bites were good, I tried the cheese empanada and wasabi popcorn and my wife had the prepackaged spicy tuna onigiri and the egg sando along with the veggie stir-fry empanada. The highlights were definitely the empanadas with the chili sauce (so good we brought it home). The space is still a little rough around the edges. The backless metal stools aren't the most comfortable and the folding chairs weren't much better. Considering it's a cozy space, I think the seating needs to be a bit upgraded. There was also no cold still water to be had (just sparkling) and no ice. But those minor details were not a deal-breaker and I'm sure will be worked out over time. The takeaway here is the excellent booze and the stellar vibe. We need to support good people building amazing inclusive spaces in our community! So branch out, try something new, and visit Shōjō's! We'll definitely be back.

Not only does this place have an awesome selection of craft beer and sake but they are the only sake brewery in the entire state. The customer service is amazing and they are very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions

Went here with my family and friends, last month to celebrate my birthday. Miami's first sake brewery. Offers much more than just Sake. We all had a blast. Beers on tap, also cans and bottles available. Wines by the glass or bottle ,plus flights. And of course the staple , Sake, 15 different sakes are available ,plus sake cocktails. I had the sake whiskey sour, and the sake old fashioned. Both delicious. And of course we all had sake bombs. Thank you to the owners, Haidar Hachem (head brewer) and Marilyn Orozco, for being great hosts and thank you for having a sake bomb with us. As their website states, it's where the Japanese aesthetic meets Nicaraguan, Lebanese, and the super-Miami culture all under one roof . Separated by two rooms, one is a Japanese decorated styled room with a bar ,tables and chairs, a chill atmosphere. The other room, I call the party room, looks more like my unfinished basement, with a bar, pool table, and it is where the food is set up. They have different food vendors , thru out the week, with food pairing events also. Hungry Yokai was the food kitchen for us. Served three Japanese dishes. We had all three, and all were delicious. A must stop for something different, and a guaranteed fun time , with great drinks and awesome food.

Awesome service, amazing ambiance, great sake, fantastic owners. Vast sake selection!

Stumbled upon this accidentally and it has been my favorite find ever! Drinks were amazing, staff was amazing. They have new food vendors every day

The way I absolutely adore this hole in the wall!!!!! I have been twice already with my best friends because it really is such a vibe. You can have a drink and play board/card games with your friends in the back. This place is so unique due to all the beautiful decor if you are an anime lover and even if you're not I think it still looks really great. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the bartender who was really nice and great and gave us all the info we needed. I will say that the one detail I loved was how in the bathroom there were a bunch of toiletries such as scrunchies, deodorant, perfume, condoms haha. I will definitely be a regular here :-)

Something in their management or operations has clearly changed. I used to visit these venues frequently, but one night I was abruptly escorted out with no explanation or reason given. I later learned from others that if you're not constantly purchasing drinks, they will single you out and ask you to leave. I'm not a big drinker--but had I been treated with respect, I would have gladly made full dinner nights out of it there. On previous visits, security staff would oddly sit next to me and ask if I was "okay," as if something was wrong, despite there being no issue. On another occasion, I was told to leave without any explanation whatsoever. I am a well-dressed, respectful, and well-groomed individual, and the only apparent reason for this treatment was that I wasn't repeatedly buying overpriced drinks or reserving a table. Staff constantly watch and patrol the venue, which creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and discourages guests from ordering at their own pace. This made me feel unwelcome and pressured rather than relaxed. Additionally, having worked closely with city code compliance in the past, I can say that the hallway connecting Sugar and Tea Room appears too narrow during their over-capacity weekend nights, creating a potential fire hazard in the event of an emergency. I'm not sure whether the city or fire department has been made aware of this. I am a reasonable and respectful person and would not have posted this review if management had simply provided an explanation or apology after I reached out privately. I received an initial response stating they would follow up, but no further communication ever came. Brickell now offers many better options, and I've been treated far better at other venues. Until I receive an apology and a genuine welcome back, I see no reason to remove this review or return.

That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

It's located in the heart of Brickell close to Brickell City Centre and next to Talkin' Tacos. I've passed it many times and never been before. Our comedy show was at 9pm so we got there early and you enter a bar area with a small dance floor and DJ booth. The door guy told us to wait next to the doors by DJ booth. They opened the doors a little after 9pm and let us in. There's this whole other room in the back with tons of seating, a stage and bar area. Some of the decor felt a bit outdated, but it was still a cool vibe nonetheless. The space is so big and has so much potential for improvement, We snagged seating in the middle area. There were several cozy couples seating in front of the stage but 2nd row, we didn't want to get picked on the entire night. Lol. The two main hosts of the comedy show looked like they worked at Blackbird Ordinary as they had staff jackets on. They were in our opinion, the FUNNIEST!!! Everyone also got free shots with their tickets. Nice bonus! Lemondrop shots!!! Whew, it's been a hot minute since I did shots. Ha. After they started the show, they introduced several local or out of towner comedians and honestly, it was a good diverse crew of comedians. I wish we got a list of the comedians as I would like to check out their social media pages or follow them. Overall, we had such a good time and laughed so hard our faces hurt. I coordinated ahead of time with the night manager regarding a prix fixe menu that included drinks for our group of 20 ladies. When we arrived, there was unfortunately some confusion. From our prior conversations, I don't recall it being explained that it would be more of a sit-and-stand dinner setup. The space itself was beautiful, but it felt more suited for cocktails rather than a seated dinner for a large group. We were offered another option at the Tea Room on the other side, which had more dining space. I will say the food was excellent--Asian tapas-style cuisine and everything we tried was very good. However, there still weren't enough seats for everyone, and two bridesmaids and I ended up standing for most of the dinner. They did eventually bring out two chairs, but by that point I was already a bit frustrated. Another challenge was communication with the staff. We were being charged for sparkling water when we had asked for regular water, which should have been included with our meal. I also had to remind them that our package included two drinks per person. The drinks came out slowly, while the food came out quickly. I understand accommodating a group of 20 can be challenging, and overall everything worked out with a few bumps along the way. That said, the food really was excellent. I would definitely come back but with a much smaller group or for a date night.
