Tucked away in the lobby of the Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove - THE Mutiny Hotel of "Hotel Scarface" book & Spotify playlist name & at least part of the inspiration for The Babylon - is a quiet, romantic poolside restaurant with a pretty good fusion menu and smooth cocktails. When we pulled in, my date & I were pretty much the only people there and we decided to enjoy the breeze on the pool deck in a cozy corner couch. My rum old fashioned was strong yet smooth, perfect for a Friday night. While she enjoyed some of their seafood dishes, I started with their Tostones cup appetizer. A green plantain surrounding fresh pico de gallo and beef chunks, it was tasty without being too heavy. The pico gave the beef a nice hint of tartness. I had been craving pizza, and their Table 14 pizza with its perfectly salty prosciutto, decent spread of marinara and slices of cheese hit the spot. Our key lime pie had a nice tartness and was a nice closing. Our waiter / bartender was great, getting our orders first to the cozy corner and then to a table. Came here for a late lunch with my daughter. Beautiful sweet, sleek and cosy mini restaurant and bar area. Nice friendly prompt service. We ordered a burger special with fries. The fries were crunchy and crispy, very nice. The burger was massive and cooked perfectly to medium as asked. However there was far too much BBQ sauce for our taste, which ruined it somewhat. We also had the crispy pork sandwich with a side salad with blue cheese on the side. I enjoyed the too half of the salad but then was disappointed that they had decided to slather it with balsamic which was too salty n over powering and not what I asked for..hence the side order of blue cheese dressing. The idea is that you can then decide how much you put in, so this option could not be used. The crispy park sandwich was to die for and the star of the show! Crispy tasty crunch chicarrone pork pieces with slices of sweet potatoes on an aoili sauce ..wow. This a review for the NEW Table 14 restaurant at The Mutiny Hotel which opened on Friday, May 26, 2023. Don't confuse this NEW restaurant with the former Table 14 at The Mutiny. The restaurant re-opened under the same name, but under different ownership and a much better ownership and operation. Gone are the days of the sour, rude owners/servers that occupied this space for the past 3 or 4 years who had the "that's the way we serve it, and I'm not making it over again" attitude when they served a dish that was not as described in the menu; for example, their Mutiny Cheese Burger was swamped in disgustingly sweet barbeque sauce that was not described on the menu and the "former restaurant" took the position that that is how they served it even though that is NOT how it was described on the menu, and they were not re-making that. I was offered a bowl of water to wash the BBQ sauce off the patty. I'm serious. I never set foot back in there again until it reopened this past Friday. Nevertheless, this NEW Table 14 delivers in all respects. I am working my way through the entire menu without regrets. I had the Picanha steak the first time there. Cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned....not too much, not too less. I never had to ask for any salt/pepper. At first, I was reserved with how I asked it to be cooked because most places overcook the meat. I like medium rare, so I usually have to ask for rare to get medium rare. The NEW Table 14 knows how to cook red meat, so order it exactly like you like it. My steak was superb. I went back two days later and ordered the Orecchiette Pasta with chicken. It had a little garnish of roasted red pepper in the middle, yet the entire dish was deliciously flavored throughout with roasted red pepper, not too strong, not too weak, just right - every single bite. It was incredibly delicious. I added some fresh cracked black pepper to it...I just can't tell you how good it was. Highly recommend. Later this coming week, I'm going back to try the Mojo Chicken with jasmine rice and summer veggies. I expect the same wonderful flavors to come shining through. My fellow neighbors have had this and told me how good it is. If you were soured on the OLD Table 14 at The Mutiny like I was, give it a try again these today. The name is the same, but it's a completely different place, including the service and staff. I love it. read more

I was invited to tour the hotel and I was surprised by the restaurant. The food was amazing and so was the service. They just recently opened. I highly recommend them. I had the ceviche, the salmon flatbread, and the octopus. A definite must try if you are in the Coconut Grove area. I will be returning. read more

Not sure how the food is because the waitress did not even want to take our order and insisted that she come out to the pool to do so, even though I was standing in the restaurant and simply wanted 2 identical sandwiches. Even though I asked her to put in the order she refused and came out to the pool one half hour later to take the simple order. She had also informed us when we went in to order initially that there were 3 people in front of us and it would be at least an hour before we would be served 2 SANDWICHES. The 4 orders before turned out to be a table of 4. WOW! It seemed she wanted to discourage business!! Poor poor service! So very sad read more

Hard to find, because it is tucked away in the corner of the Mutiny Hotel lobby. Facing the pool, you could dine inside or on the Mutiny pool deck, which is nice. Sometimes they forget about us on the pool deck, so one might have to go inside and wave them down.. This restaurant is a gem nestled inside The Mutiny Hotel. Although the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, (more on that in another review) we had such a wonderful time at Table 14. The place is immaculately clean and with beautiful decor. The service could not have been better. Both Cristina, part owner and hostess/server and JC the executive chef were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. We had the Chef's Burger which the Chef prepared with a fried egg on top of sautéed mushrooms. Yummy. Delicious with truffled fries. For appetizers we had the fried calamari, fried to perfection and cod croquetas which were also very good. I cannot say enough about the welcoming ambience and great time we had. Unfortunately I have to give this restaurant 1 star and that's based on the strength of Rosa alone, their wonderful server. What brought down the curve was the owner/bartender's poor attitude 2 evenings in a row. Very short and aggressive with our party of 3 the first night (after experiencing Rosa who was the only reason we continued to order and eat). One of us received an apology on the side from the owner for the unprovoked behavior...the excuse being she was short staffed and overwhelmed. Yet, the following night similar behavior and passive aggressiveness. It was clear she had a problem with one person in our group but projected the passive aggressiveness on to me while I was paying my tab. Super dismissive, held her hand up to my face to quiet me when I pointed out she had an issue with someone else and was taking it out on me. This review may not do or mean much to others but my God, do better if you-bartender/owner-are reading this. Pathetic. read more
