We had 5:30 reservations at Zucca for Mother's Day and were seated promptly by a very kind hostess. Unfortunately, the service went downhill from there. We weren't greeted by a server for at least 15 minutes. Eventually our waiter came over with water, but he seemed rushed and uninterested from the start. Another 15 minutes passed before he took our drink order, and we ended up ordering everything at once because he was so quick to leave the table. No recommendations, no check-ins, and anytime we needed something we had to flag him down ourselves. As for the food, the Fiori Di Zucca Ripieni Di Caprino E Miele Al Tartufo were absolutely divine, easily one of the highlights of the night. The octopus was disappointing, chewy and lacking flavor. The pumpkin ravioli was just okay and I wish the sauce had been creamier. The Linguine Alle Vongole was very good, probably our favorite pasta besides the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe with truffles, which was hands down the best dish we ordered. The mushroom tagliatelle wasn't what we expected at all, the sauce was much thinner and waterier than anticipated. We ended up skipping dessert solely because the service left such a bad impression. Went for late lunch on saturday, with my family & honestly this place was way too empty for the food and service that we recieved. We started off with the Beef carpaccio w/ black truffle and the tuna crudo (essentially carpaccio). I'm not a big fan of seafood and the tuna was honestly the freshest yummiest one i've tried so far. I try the carpaccio everywhere i go (it's my fave) and this is def. up there. For mains I got the steak (w/out foie gras not a fan and like a $18 up charge) and it was honestly pretty perfect no notes, it was served on a bed of braised potato and leeks delicious. my brother got the special seafood risotto, the risotto was delicious but it was a bit too oily for his taste, wish it served more seafood (it was calamari etc.). my dad got the dorado which is cut for you table side which was just alr but it came w plenty of vegetables. The star of the show for me was the pumpkin ravioli, paired w the steak was delicious. For dessert, the tiramisu was a little sweet, and the pistachio gelato was delicious. This place has been on my list since i moved to coral gables! its tucked on the bottom of a hotel. The decor is bright, light and cozy. I ordered the artichoke salad and the tagliatele al funghi misti. Before the food came, they gabe you some delicious pieces of focaccia with oil. The salad was refreshing and light. The vinagarette on top of the arugula, artichoke and parmesan slices was very flavorful. The pasta is the reason you come. The al dente pasta was made in a buttery mushroom sauce. The caviar on top was the perfect addition. I just have to say the service was very slow. I waited a long time after the salad to get the main course. I would still return to try their crudo. There's a romantic dimmed like aesthetic to zucca which I love the pastas, I find their pasta to be good comfort food not to theatrical just goo quality pasta. I went here with friends for a late lunch. We had the most amazing waiter, he was very informative, accompanying to our large group. I started with the Lemoncello spritz and he offered some prosciutto since there was no fresh bread for me, gluten free. For my entree I ordered the Mediterranean Sea Bass. Exceptional Italian Dining Zucca at the historic Hotel St. Michel is a beautiful, elegant spot in Coral Gables. Food and service was fine. My heartburn is with the bill that showed up at the end. In case you're not aware, which I wasn't, there's an "18% service charge" added to the bill for back of house. The wait staff doesn't get any of that line item and is expecting to be tipped on the bill with 18% in it.... Had the opportunity to dine at Zucca and it did not disappoint. My favorite of the evening was the Truffle goat cheese zucchini blossom. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 10 out of 10! I've had Zucca bookmarked for a while and glad I finally made it here. It's local in the iconic St. Michel Hotel which is a sight in itself. Zucca is an upscale Italian restaurant. The food was really good and the service was attentive. Foods I tried: - fried goat cheese with honey - tuna carpaccio - Branzino - Gnocchi - Philodough with cream and Nutella I rarely ever drink but paired it with an Aperol Spritz since I found it fitting ("when in Rome") It's not really a super lively place it's more of a calm date night restaurant with dimmed lights. Zucca continues to hold onto quality. We showed up for lunch and were immediately accommodated by the server. The quality of the food was superb. We enjoyed all of our dishes, which were well-balanced and flavorful. We started with the tartare di vitello and the crudo di pesce, both excellent, although we preferred the crudo. For entree, we had the tortellini al tartufo and the mezzi rigatoni, each delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed the torta di formaggio, which was also great. I came here for lunch with a friend to try the Miami Spice deal. I hadn't been here in decades- since it was just the Saint Michelle restaurant where my husband proposed to me. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and I was able to park right across the street in front of the restaurant. It was just a few dollars to park on the street. There's also a parking garage across the street. The restaurant is still beautiful and beautifully decorated. The ambiance is very relaxing. We were sat next to their huge walk-in wine cooler. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He had several other people helping him out. There was always someone ready to take our plates, or refill our drinks. I ordered the Ruby Rosé Spritz. It was delicious and very refreshing. My friend ordered an iced tea. She didn't like it. So she also ordered a Spritz. For appetizers we both ordered the burrata salad. It was delicious. Very unique with sweet peaches, crunchy cabbage, and a elderflower dressing. For our main entree we both ordered the red snapper. I loved mine and ate every bite! My friend said hers was a little fatty and tough, so she didn't really like hers so much. It came with a little grape tomato salad on the side. I actually liked the salad more than the fish. It was really tasty! For our desserts I ordered the Pecorino cheese with honey. My friend ordered the passion fruit cheesecake. The passion fruit cheesecake was delicious! It's too bad we were so full from the rest of our meal. The cheesecake was light, fluffy and not too sweet. The passion fruit syrup around it was the perfect tartness and sweetness. It had a few crunchy seeds in the syrup that added a pleasant touch. Definitely one of the best desserts I've ever had. Altogether our lunches were about $60-$65 each which included a 20%. I'd definitely return. It's a great place for couples. Very romantic. Always love coming to this spot for either lunchtime or after work early dinner. My definite go to is usually the pasta, any of those choices have always tasted great to me. This time I got the charcuterie board and you're able to select your own meats and cheeses as preference. You can also either order a full board or half size board, which is a great idea for portion control or sharing. The margarita is also a great choice for a drink and they have a great wine selection. Inside, the restaurant the decor is classic and timeless. The service was impeccable. I tried their Miami spice lunch - APPETIZER - Tempura Prawn served over a black lentil salad, with burrata cream and crispy "Guanciale". This was a wonderful start to my meal. The huge prawn was very fresh, and the tempura batter was very light and crisp. MAIN - Sliced beef tenderloins with crispy polenta, parmigiano fondue and a black truffle sauce. Another marvelous dish, I especially adored their sauce. DESSERT - Homemade Italian Limoncello Tiramisu. To finish I tried their twist on a tiramisu, which was very light and a lemon flavour. They serve Northern Italian inspired dishes and the food and service was top notch. The crowd was a bit older, which I didn't mind as that usually indicates that the food is good For starters, we got the anitpasto platter and chose prosciutto and sopressata for our meats and parmesan cheese. The meats were very delicious and thinly sliced and we really enjoyed the bread and focaccia that they served with it. For our main course my husband got the truffle pasta, which our waiter said was one of their most popular dishes. He enjoyed it, but did say it was a little salty. For my dish, I chose the pumpkin ravioli and it was so so so yummy! I did not leave one bite on the plate, I was so full but it was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. As I came out of the dentist, I decided to eat lunch at the Gables. I checked Miami Spice and found Zucca a few blocks away. Since I knew the quality and ambiance of this restaurant, I decided to have lunch. It was a great experience beginning with fabulous service. My server Axel was very authentic and his demeanor fit the place like a ring to a finger. I chose the Veal Tartare, followed by the Red Snapper. Both were delicious. I was sad for the sea asparagus garnishing the Red Snapper was not available - I was told - and several halves of cherry yellow and blue tomatoes were abundant on the plate- resting for the appearance and enjoyment. Nevertheless, the veloute sauce was amazing! Then I loved the passion fruit cheesecake. In summary, the experience was fantastic, and definitely this is a jewel of a restaurant for which I forgive the missing sea asparagus. ;) read more

They never let our water glasses get empty--and with my water consumption habits, that's nearly unheard of. Two employees held the doors open for us as we exited.) Prices weren't low, but weren't as high as they might have been. Food was quite good. The ribeye did not disappoint. My husband took our son and I to Zucca for my birthday. We are visiting from out of Country. Service was excellent besides the constant attempt to upsell. Cocktails were fantastic, pricey but worth it. One of the reasons we went, is they offered wild caught salmon on the online menu. Once we got to the restaurant, the actual menu just showed salmon, which when we asked was farmed, not wild caught. So I had the chicken, my son the lamb, and my husband the veal chop. The food was okay but not outstanding in the least. Combining this with a very drunk, loud, foul mouthed woman sitting at the bar, the ambience and general experience was less than desired. The website also said there was a dress code, yet another bar dweller was in a tank top and construction boots. We'll spend $600 elsewhere next time. Do not recommend. read more

We started with the Fried zucchini flowers stuffed with goat cheese sprinkled with truffle honey , because, how can you not ?! These are a "must order "! My hubby had his eye on the Eggs Benedict w prosciutto asparagus e " parmigiano fonduta and it did not disappoint! I went for the floating French toast with crème angleise & mixed berries. I can't believe how many people checked in on us, including the manager. My friend and I chose the Miami Spice lunch menu and Aperol Spritz for a drink.
