Excellent pizza and great beer. Not a huge place but always can count on a good time. Recommend eating in as pizza can get cold fast if take out. read more

Was in the vicinity Sunday just before Halloween trick or Treater so ordered pickup on their website and wow was it ready super fast!  The guy inside with chill clothes and relaxed vibe handed my food and crowlers.  Good stuff. Food: Placed an order of 3 big meatballs and an order of their house made bread with dipping sauce.  Meatballs were nicely dense but felt a bit heavy handed on the seasoning.  Is it because its being eaten while drinking beer which quickly washes the palate? The meatsauce was just right, it was good. Onto the bread which was interesting both because it was in pieces and of varying thickness from crispy thin to a thin chewy size not like any bread one would expect.  It reminds me of leftover dough that would have been used to make a pizza, just torn into pieces and cooked. I liked the texture but ya gotta dip them in the garlic lime aioli.   OMG that sauce was rich!  Definitly garlicky and that rich aioli gets to be too much after awhile.  Either share or save the rest for the next day.  It was interesting flavor that grew on me the more I ate it.  Might have it again although would like to try the cheese bread next time! Drink: Bought 3 crowlers of Lawyers donr surf juicy hazy ipa 6.9% to share with the house.  It's been a very long time I have been here so forgot how this beer tastes but it is a go to everytime I had visited before!  A reliable good beer everytime.  I will have to start trying their others if anything is new out next time! read more

I love the pizza here! I stick to a mostly gluten free diet, and although their pizza isn't gluten free; it's the only pizza I can eat without feeling miserable. My favorite is the "Surfin' USA". I love the ambiance; a local/cool spot to hangout with friends. The service and staff is amazing as well. I'm so lucky to live so close to them read more

I came here with a friend last Ssturday, and this place has everything you could ever want in a local pizzeria- outstanding customer service and creative pizza topping selections. You order a nearby cash register and have the option of doing a half and half pizza topping pizza. The toppings are creative. Highly recommend! read more

Great place to come and grab a pizza and beer. It was my first time coming here and I truly had an amazing time. I went on a Thursday and to my surprise found out it was karaoke night and it was LIT. I sat outside with my friends. They had several picnic tables outside. I had the Morning Glory Blonde Ale to drink and found it to be quite refreshing. To eat, I ordered the Doug's White pizza which brings Garlic Purée, Shallot, Ricotta, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Parsley. I found it to be quite delicious. I was able to share my pizza with a friend and get full. Karaoke was super fun! The beer was great! The pizza was yummy! The only bad thing was the parking situation. They get so busy and have very limited parking spots. I had to park in the grocery store a block down. read more

At first, when I heard the name, Strange Beast, from friends, I thought it was a gentleman's club. Then I learned that it's a new-ish brewery operated by the same owner of Lincoln's Beard, my favorite brewery in Miami. It's a bit of a drive from my location, I usually avoid driving to Kendall because of traffic, but I had to check it out. After going to Strange Beasts several times, I have to say that the pepperoni pizza is my absolute favorite food on the menu. In fact, it's the BEST pepperoni pizza I've ever had in my entire life. I love the beers and slushees (the orange one is delicious). The place is not as big as Lincoln's, but I love that there's still seatings inside and outside. The brewery is dog friendly, the staff has been awesome and welcoming, the live music has been legit, and the whole place is full of art, figurines, and murals. They provide plenty of hand sanitizers. Parking spots can be tough to find sometimes but I've had good lucks all the times I've gone. Bathrooms are clean from what I've seen. Shout out to Evan, AD, Falco, Alex, and all the staff members for amazing service. I'm very thankful! read more

Popped by Strange Beast for a chill night and wasn't disappointed. Their pizza, especially the Swamp Thing with its perfect pesto drizzle, was a hit. Brews? Stellar, as usual, but the "SHeeeeesh" sour ale was a standout - peach, vanilla, and cinnamon making it an unforgettable sour. This spot's part of the Lincoln's Beard Brewing fam, so you know they're all about good vibes and great tastes. Service, awesome as to be expected from anything Lincoln's Beard touches. Definitely a go-to for anyone in Miami looking for that perfect combo of beer and pizza - a nice little hidden gem in an otherwise sleepy suburban area. read more

So glad I checked in this time, because I am now a regular at Strange Beast Hehehehe. The beer was delicious, I got the Getting Hazy and it came in these cute little glass, it was strong but very delicious. He got the morning glory. And we ordered a pepperoni pizza. The pizza came out relatively quick. We probably only waited about 5 to 10 mins which isn't long at all. They have Parmesan and red pepper flakes on the side for you to take with you to your table. Which is always a plus for me. It was a great experience. I love the brewery vibe. I will be coming back soon. :) OH AND it was Thursday which is Karaoke night!!!! Also after 9pm it's a 21+ environment. read more

There's a good reason I've got 25 check-ins and counting... Strange Beast is the quintessential neighborhood brew pub. It's the kind of place where the staff gets to know you by name, greets you with a friendly smile, and knows your usual order as you walk through the door. Eddie can regularly be found behind the bar and is definitely one of our favorite beer slingers. My go-to of their beers on tap is Avenge Me, a malty brown ale. I'm also fond of their hazy IPA, Lawyers Don't Surf. The meatballs are damn good, as is the pizza. I'd suggest the Baby Godzilla, w/ shrooms added. As an added bonus, Monday and Tuesday are BOGO! And, you can also count on fun trivia nights, dj's, and other special events. read more

Strange Beast - Doug's white with hot honey - Pizza Near Me - Miami, Florida

A West Kendall outpost of Lincoln's Beard, featuring their delicious beers and tasty pizzas. We had to wait for a parking spot, as while there are plenty, they are shared with some auto/tire shop, but once inside there are plenty of seats. Their beer, needless to say, is delicious. I had the Yum! Yum! Mango Sour and it was yum yum indeed. On the menu, they mentioned that their pizza dough is a mix of American and Italian wheat, and cold fermented for 24-48 hours. I don't know how pizza dough is made but that sounds fancy and tastes delicious, with a very good chew. The toppings are a step beyond the ordinary, but nothing outlandish. I saw on the wall that they have Wings it Wednesday but I don't see the wings on the menu, so I guess it's just for Wednesdays. A somewhat limited menu of pizza and beer, but diverse enough offerings. Hubby and I shared a pizza, leaving me a little bit of room to head next door to Sweet Melody for Miami's best ice cream. read more

Strange Beast is the labor of love of the legendary John Falco who is the co-founder of Lincoln's Beard. Even though this space is a little smaller, it's comfortable and there's plenty of parking out front. When you walk in, you'll see high top tables, an order counter with an overhead projector showing the menu, and pizza kitchen with a brick oven and distillery tanks just right across. I've been here a couple of times with my peeps and always have a great time. It gets really busy in the evenings so it may be hard to grab a table but don't get discouraged. Just grab a draft and order a pizza. Yes, they offer some of the most creative pizzas I've ever tasted. I recommend Doug's White Pizza as long as you don't mind the intense garlic flavor and just make sure you have gum after...lol. The other pizza I like here is the Baby Godzilla. It's so toasty and the house sauce is on point. I'm a big fan of this brewery. The staff is always nice and beer selections are pretty good. In my opinion, the best night to go is Thursday night because there's live karaoke. Anyone can participate so whether or not you're a seasoned performer, after a couple (or 3) or beers, you'll be the star of the show ;) read more

Attention all Yelpers we may have the best brewery in Kendall located on aisle 72! Wow what a spot, talk about great music, cool people and awesome drinks! Their beer selection is great for a brewery and the ambiance and vibes checked off all the boxes. Now let's get to the best part... Mamma Mia they have pizza! Pizza is freaking amazing, I got both the cheese and pepperoni immediately feel in love! I also sampled the meatballs which were delicious! Had been hearing things about this spot since it opened, but the article in The Miami Herald this past Sunday made it a must visit! I mean pizza and beer are my favorites so I knew I was going to love this spot! Stopped in around 1:30 pm this past Sunday. Located off sunset and 152 ave next to the Shell station. Place was popping, but my spouse and I were able to get a table for 2 close to the bar area. Staff was immediately welcoming and friendly. Menu is simple and to the point. Pizza and beer as well as a couple wines to choose from. They also have soda for the non-alcys, lol. As per previews yelp reviews, I read the 'shroom pizza was a must try, so that's what we ordered. Also ordered a Helles Lager and a Koopa Troopa. Alex at the bar advised the Freedom tower wasn't pouring well at the moment so recommended the Koopa Troopa. Helles was light and refreshing and the Koopa was a big stronger with hints of fruit flavors coming through. They have about 9 beers on tap as well as one cider. Orders are placed at the bar or with any of the staff walking around. Drinks are served right away and you are given a order device for the pizza. When it goes off you head over to the pizza pick up counter and get your order where there are plates and napkins and pizza toppings here. Grab your seat and chow down! Next round of beers we ordered was another Helles lager as well as a Unholy. This one was the strongest at 9.2% alcohol! It was good, but dangerous ha-ha. Pizza was amazingly delicious. Good enough to share as we each got 3 slices. Dough was thin, but no too thin, and chewy and crispy in all the right places. Homemade tomato sauce was tasty and spread perfectly on the pizza as well; not too much and not too little. Mushrooms were chopped and onions were sliced and then chunks of mozzarella spread all over the pizza. All cooked together perfectly. We saw some people come in and just order pizza to go, and my partner and I contemplated the same ha-ha. I like the vibe of this place, as it feels like a neighborhood bar, but with the open air brewery feels. Also it's in west Kendall, so it's closer to home than some of the other local breweries in our city. I will definitely be back to this place and I highly recommend checking them out! read more

The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The service was bad, no one acknowledged us when we walked in and the servers were not attentive at all. Strange Beast is in the House!! In the West Kendall hood...1-5-2 !!! The brewery has a cool, laid back vibe with a homey feel. I love the red and black color scheme as well as the few art work they have up and tell me about the mural in the front...what!?!? Bad a$$!! I can't wait to come back to see all the little missing details put together. Their coal fired pizza is yummy...we tasted the pepperoni, margarita, and the mushroom with onions. My fave was their "Shroom" pizza - a must get! As for their brews they have guest brews like the lager I had - Florida Avenue. I'll come back soon to taste their own beers. The staff is very hospitable and attentive to all the customers. Fun fact their prices already includes tax. read more

So happy Kendall has a new brewery! We decided to try it out on a whim last night. The vibe is super chill and laid back, which is exactly what I want a brewery to be. They're not pouring their own brews yet but don't let that deter you! - the selection they have in the meantime is great. They also have freshly made pizzas and they are delicious!! You can smell them the minute you walk in. I decided to try their featured pizza as it's only available for a limited time. Parking can be an issue so if you're coming at peak times maybe carpool or uber but definitely go! read more

Strange Beast - Margarita Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Miami, Florida

This place is special, it's a brewery/pizza spot in the middle of a suburb, I wouldn't have it any other way. Their house beer is excellent! Fresh, crisp, and always potent. Their pizza is of quality, flavorful and worth the experience. Something like this in a location like a beach side would make a killing, and cost twice as much, because they are just that good. It's definitely making their mark in the neighborhood as the local watering hole as well as family dinner pizza night spot, as they are big on their clients and making sure they are happy, either through the food, drink, or events like karaoke or trivia night. This place is here to stay, and I hope others find it like I was lucky enough to. read more

I searched 'pizza' being new to the area and wanting something different, this place came across high in reviews, so with those expectations, especially being a fan of mister01, I went. I parked right away, I must've came on a slow night which was great at the moment. Also, you have to order at the bar just so you know and aren't surprised. I got the Hefeweizen to start which was so damn good. I do feel like the wait was kinda long for the pizza itself. It didn't taste like anything out of the ordinary to be honest. It's also self service which isn't a bad thing but when it gets busy, it can be. I just don't think for the price you're getting as good of a taste that's all imo. I basically had a full pie to take home at my table and I went asking for a take home box because I saw her making them and giving two out. I was then directed to ask the cashier for smaller ones? I guess thinking I had two slices possibly left but I had about six. I just think they have to reconsider the prices... it was just missing many things. read more
