Came in and it was super busy which we thought was a good thing..... went to bar to order and was told "flight selection boards were at the tables for a reason". As the tables were all full were all full we did not realize that we needed to prefill out a chalkboard. Her attitude was less than welcoming. However had the ciders actually been decent then it would made up for the attitude...sadly they did not. Possibly the less than welcoming atmosphere affected how we felt about it all. read more

This was a super cute little tasting area. There are some good options for cider and they also have local beers, kombucha and cold brew. They had lots of tables inside and outdoor areas. The flights were $6 for 4 half full samples which was a little weird but it was a good size for the price. I like the Gin & Juice the best and the cold brew was awesome. read more

Just held part of a bachelorette party here over the holidays and it was the perfect venue. We booked their newly renovated private room for a little over an hour and had a fantastic time! The room is removed enough to feel like you have a private space but if you leave the door open it still feels like you're part of the hustle and bustle of the bar which we really liked. It is a beautiful space that looks out on the sculpture garden and we were able to order all of our cider there. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and make it feel like it was a special event. Everyone was really nice and attentive and we couldn't have had more fun! The Cider was also delicious. I can't wait to have another event here! read more

Cider is really good and the guy working when we went was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We sampled the four ciders on tap and loved them all, although I wish the blueberry one had been a bit sweeter with more of a blueberry taste, but the guy working explained it all had to do with the fermentation process. Overall, we ready enjoy the cider and are excited that they are apparently rolling out distribution to ct later this summer!! read more

What a disappointing experience. We went to Stowe Cider last year when it was on Rte 100. Fell in love with the cider & talking to the owner about how its made & what made flavors change; not to mention that it was a great excuse for my wife & kids to get maple creamees from next door when we went to refill the growlers. Now it's just a tourist trap on the Mountain Road staffed by brainless twits who know next to nothing about the cider & care more about tips than the product. Crisp, refreshing natural cider. Not the reprocessed national brands that add in apple juice at the end of the process. This is premium cider. Liked all, especially the Tips Up. My boyfriend and I stopped into Stowe Cider 3 times within 24 hours over the past weekend (Labor Day). Visiting from out of town, we always love to check out local breweries/wineries/cideries. The atmosphere was great, very simple and was cool to be in the same warehouse as where the cider is made in their massive tanks. The outdoor picnic tables and corn hole were ideal for the great weather. The first time we went, we each got a flight and picked different choices, to allow each of us to try all options. They were all delicious in their own way, which was impressive. Him and I have very different taste in drinks, him not typically even liking cider at all, but we both enjoyed them. The second time we went, later that same day, we stopped in just for a drink to kill time while waiting for friends. The bartender on had us try her "half and half" which was a combination of the V-Tea and Shandy, DELICIOUS! This inspired us to stop by for a 3rd time the following day to buy a 4 pack of shandy to match the 4 pack of V-tea we were able to buy downtown. I'm craving me some more Stowe Cider and will 100% be back if traveling through VT again! read more

They have a lot of different ciders and even had a beer featured from another brewery (I think it was called ten bends brewery?). But what stood out to me was how friendly the staff was. We've been a few times for tastings and growlettes, always wonderful. Wonderful enough that we asked Stowe Cider for a pony keg for our rehearsal dinner, and Stefan and his team were glad to accommodate us. They brought the keg and kegerator setup out to the venue, even with a last minute change to the other side of town due to rain, set it all up, and grabbed it the next morning. We tried 4 ciders- dry, medium sweet, an amazing hoppy blend they call the Sauvignon blanc type cider that even non-hoppy palates like- and a basque-ish bourbon aged blend. This place is everything a proper cidery should be! Local ingredients, local barrel aging, and super dry bubbly cider with a verity of different infused tastings. When we were there they had original, raspberry, ginger, lemon, and pepper. We got two bottles to go and did their tasting, everything was very good! read more

On our recent trip to Stowe, we became enamored with the wide variety of bottled ciders for sale, none of which are available back home in NJ. We opted to pay a visit to our new favorite cidery -- Stowe Cider -- for a tasting. We showed up on a snowy Thursday at 5:45pm. We believed they closed at 7pm but saw on the door that the closing time was actually 6pm. We popped in anyway and asked if we could do a single tasting & leave quickly. The owner said no way, encouraged us to sit down at the bar, and try all three ciders on tap. He was incredibly engaging, gave us tips for what to do around town, told us all about his cider process, and even gave us some tips to make our home brewed cider a bit better. The hospitality was top notch. And of course so was the cider. We tried the traditional, a raspberry cider, and a bourbon barrel aged one. Note that this is a tiny facility and there isn't anything to tour. You can see the whole operation from the tasting bar. Regardless, this is worth a stop for cider lovers. read more

Came here on a Sunday and it turned out to be right next to the Stowe Farmers Market! Explored the market, then came in for a flight. They have some great ciders, but the dry-hopped one was my favorite. It's nice that they have some non-alcoholic options too - a cider is available for the kids or those who are not drinking. Board games for some entertainment while you hang out. They have full pours available as well. A really nice spot. read more

What an enjoyable visit this was! We stopped in as part of a self-guided microbrewery tour and were able to be served quite quickly by one of the brewers himself. They were selling flights of 4 ciders but he was more than willing to do a flight of 5 and adjust the price so we could try all 5 of their hard ciders. They had a great variety and the ciders were all creative and quality - even the ciders we didn't love, we appreciated. The only negative part would be that they didn't sell our favorite cider in cans and a growler didn't work for our purposes, but this a must-stop shop if you're looking for the best microbrew experiences in Stowe. read more
