I love exploring new cider places, and on my trip to Stowe, I was excited to see Stowe Cider visible from the road with plenty of parking. We went just for drinks. We elected to sit outside on the deck under an umbrella. We could hear the band from the Japanese restaurant next door. I ordered a flight which consisted of four ciders that I could choose. The server wrote the initials of my choices on a board and told me what they were. I ordered less sweet, more dry kinds. There were subtle differences between them based on the fruit notes. I did miss getting a Huckleberry flavor like I do when I go to Washington state. Our server was upbeat and friendly even though we only ordered drinks. Tip: To enter, use the doors that say "use other door," I thought the arrow was saying go to an entrance around the building but that was an employee only door. read more

It was a cold and rainy day so the cider house was a little slow but that didn't stop the cider from flowing! Stopped by Stowe Cider after a day on the slopes to meet up with friends, and it was the perfect après-ski spot. I ordered a cider flight and got to sample four of their delicious and unique ciders. Each one had its own distinct flavor, and I loved the variety. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, making it a great place to unwind. I tried the spruce peak which was my second favorite as it was crisp and sweet in flavor. Next I had the ginger pear cyser which was probably my least favorite as it was more tart but nothing special. My absolute favorite was the blood orange botanical as it was bitter and delicious. Lastly I got the gummy bears because it sounded funky. This one was weird and not a fan I should've known with the bright blue color I would not be a fan. Service was amazing our bartender was super fast as we came in close to closing and he served us quickly. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that it was a bit difficult making it in from the parking lot with all of the ice and snow. I am always happy to find a dog friendly brewery/ cidery. We stopped at Stowe Cider and hung out on the patio with the dogs. My husband and I enjoyed flights of cider so that we got to experience as many of their ciders as possible. We really liked Tips Up! Great spot to try in the Stowe VT area. Both the insde and outside seating areas were nice and the staff was very friendly and informative when describing all the different drinks they had available. I decided to get the chesse , vegetable & fruit board, and when it came out, it was packed with a lot of great stuff, but I also thought it was pretty expensive as well. Over the years, I have purchased 4 packs of Stowe Cider when I come to Burlington for vacation. Visiting this brewery was a must for me and I was not disappointed. We came on a weekday in early September with our pup. We were greeted by a knowledgable bartender. This was a quick stop for us, so my husband and I split a small flight of ciders. I really wanted to love this place. In terms of atmosphere it seemed a great place to come hang out and play some Cornhole and relax! The service seemed slow and not super friendly. We were there around 3 on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. We both got flights and I would say the only one either of us liked was the cider donut. The full sized nachos were enough for a group of four, and topped with pulled pork, it cannot be beat! The pulled pork sandwich was also delicious - though I wished it came with sauce. The fries came on the side and were seasoned perfectly. The lobster roll was good - though again, wished it came with some dressing, however, still delicious. Came here on a Sunday afternoon, not that crowded. Outdoor arrangement is nicely spaced, covid protocols closely followed. Bathrooms are surprisingly nice in spite being outdoor trailers. They have such a great variety of cider, there's something for everyone. Surprisingly taken away by the Maple Run, which is bottled in a pretty 750 ml wine bottle. Had a nice spice to it, definitely a must try - don't think I've had anything else like it. Don't forget the PBJ, actually tasted like peanut butter.
