We love it here! The donuts are the best. The cider is better! It's what my kids love about fall.

Wine tasting is $3 per person for the full menu of wines. The wines are GOOD - just as delicious as they are unique. The wines are unique, too; nearly all of the grape wines utilize imported grapes, so a majority of the wines grown on site are made from berries. All of the wines are very good, but I have no words for how beautiful the dry blueberry wine is - you'll have to pay the three dollars for the tasting and see what I mean. It is BEYOND. Our wine guide was charismatic, knowledgeable, and a delight to chat with. We only spoke with one staff member and I sadly did not catch her name but the summer staff is so kind and knowledgeable about the business that I'm sure the entire team is a treasure to the Charlotte community. My only regret is that I didn't pick up more of the blueberry wine. Oh well. I am not from this area but will certainly be ordering more wine online for years to come. Thank you, Charlotte Village Winery!

Ten "tastings" for $10.

It really depends on your palette, and you have to understand that the grapes local to the area will not be your typical grapes. My family got flights, both sweet and dry. We really liked the 2023 Louise and 2022 Marquette. In fact, the Marquette was the best of the bunch from my point of view. The ciders were both really sweet, but the Eden Angeljus was pretty good and reminiscent of Mead. The Riesling was also a favorite. We got a cheeseboard for two, and that was freaking delicious. It came with a maple cranberry preserve that was out of this world. But the cheese, and even the crackers, were exceptionally good, too. Beyond that, the service was exemplary. Ruby in particular was a joy to talk to and quite good at her job. Finally, the live music they had playing was surprisingly good. I did not expect that kind of quality on a random Saturday in May. I highly recommend going to this winery.

The white is ok, the red is kind of ok, the rose was awful and the Orange wine tasted like brackish water to me. Service was spotty, sometimes great, sometimes pretty bad. Judy and Jim were two of the most down-to-earth people you could ever want to meet. The wine was best we had tasted out of the five vineyards we visited. The farm is impeccably maintained. What a wonderful find! The property itself is beautiful. It's just off of Hwy 2, and as we walked up we were greeted by the "meter greeter", a friendly poodle named Luna. Classical music was being played from the top of a small hill, which only added to the peaceful, lovely scene. We were greeted by Judy, who owns the farm with her husband Jim. She gave us a nice tour of the vines and we got to watch some of the grapes being harvested. Had a taste too--delicious! Then she led us up to the sugar house where they not only ferment the wine, but make maple syrup in the spring. She proceeded to take is through a fantastic wine flight and we even tasted the two premium maple wines. Heavenly! I would love to come back to Vermont someday, and definitely plan to return to the Hillis' farm.
