On the drive back from Montpelier to Portland, following the pilgrimage made by many a New Englander to witness solar eclipse totality, I had to get off the road, out of traffic, and find a restroom stat. It was divine intervention that made me pull off that specific exit. It seemed dead amongst the nearby businesses in that little enclave, but a hint of human activity pulled me towards Vermont Spirits. After my coy request and use of the restroom (what a relief!), I stood at the bar and asked about their line of products. Barkeep Meg was nice enough to allow me to sample some of their offerings, including the super secret juice! Also really appreciated being able to talk with the chief, Randy, and exchange eclipse experiences. Really friendly folks, and it truly kept my sanity in check. Thanks for the conversation and allowing this wayward traveller use of your restroom. My bladder thanks you! I've already cooked up a couple cocktails with the No. 14. Delicious stuff!

It was our first time going and I will definitely be a returning customer when I am back in the area. All of their spirits are worth the trip! My sister had their vodka and said it was amazing. I had their gins and bourbons and my god so good. If I could give 10 stars I would. We all left with purchases. Definitely not a place to skip it's a must visit.

We had flights and tasted all of their ciders. Ironically our mutual favorite was a hopped cider. It was literally the only one we liked. At least for now, it seems they should stick to wine. The man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience learning about the ciders and speaking with him, just wish they tasted better. They have a little seating area outside that was comfortable and nice to relax at.

All of our guest commented on how beautiful the winery itself was, and from the moment they arrived the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and elegant--exactly what we hoped for as we kicked off our wedding weekend. The team at Seven Birches was outstanding. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. We opted for a wine and cider tasting, and the staff was very friendly and made sure the entire process was easy and seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the night with our loved ones. The wine and cider were both amazing, and after the tasting most guests stayed to have another glass. In addition to our welcome party, Mark and the team at Seven Birches also helped us create our own red blend and white blend for the wedding, complete with personalized labels and everything. Not only did this help us create our own special touch for the wedding, but also it was a great opportunity for my husband and I to learn more about the wine making process and all the intricacies of what goes into it. We had a great time and our wine turned out delicious! Whether you are considering visiting Seven Birches Winery just for fun or for any event, we cannot recommend it highly enough. The team helped us create the perfect start to our celebration and a memory we will cherish forever.

Grandiose, pre-Revolutionary War homes, meticulously kept, line the highway. Once on the property, we went into the building that houses the wine making apparatus, part of which is now the tasting room. We tried seven different offerings including Elderberry, Blackberry, plum and the Jalapeño. Today, 30 October, will be the opening of their new tasting room, a pre-Civil War building that served as a manufacturing area for Union troop boots during the Civil War. The outside is still historically accurate but the inside is completely rebuilt in a post and beam motif. The place also has its own mascot, a beautiful half Cairns and half Jack Russell dog that is the friendliest dog ever.
