For anyone who would like to experience their Disney fantasy, and dine with Remi from…read moreRatatouille...please stop by Chez Henri. You will be met with a warm welcome, overwhelming smiles and your drinks, just... Ahhh ...hit the spot. ( if you got this far and couldn't sense my sarcasm... well that's on you lol) We waited an hour and forty five minutes ( we had made reservations well in advance).... And only received our "pre appetizer". Please don't waste your time, especially if you are hungry. I think they would have been better off if Remi the rat ( well for accuracy, a mouse in their case) cooked the food. Credibility would have been at least sub par. P.s the staff called the mouse "Harry" in case you wanna stop by and say hello while you wait an hour plus for food Cheers

I only wish they had online reservations, but other than that, it's my favorite restaurant.

Cozy and cute Inn in the quiet and sleepy town of Norwich which is just around the bend from the…read moreborder to New Hampshire. The staff here is top notch and all super friendly. They get a lot of guests here that are attending the King Arthur's baking school about 1 mile away. They offer refrigeration services for the dozens of breads you will bake! We stayed in the main building where the restaurant and bar are located. It's all very cozy and seemed to support many local community gatherings during our 1 week stay. The rooms however are smaller with an old radiator which didn't do a great job of giving you much temperature control. The beds are comfortable but the bathroom and shower is on the smaller side. Also the floor boards are creaky so we could hear our upstairs neighbors moving around. For EV drivers - they offer slow onsite chargers for a fee.

This inn has all of the potential to be one of those quintessential vintage yet comfortable New…read moreEngland joints. While a little worn around the edges, overall it succeeds. It has what I would call "charming wear and tear" - part of the vintage character of a New England inn. There is no attempt to retain the charm of yesteryear while providing the qualities of the modern era, this is pure charm of yesteryear. With multiple sitting areas, guest rooms in different shapes and styles, as well as attic rooms with interesting roof lines and floor plans, it works. I will say that the mattress in our suite was too soft for us - we are used to a firm mattress - so if you have a sensitive spine you might want to ask if they have a room with a firmer mattress. The breakfast offered eggs, sausage and bacon, muffins, bagels etc. Simple and good enough. Guest reception pretty much terminates around 8 PM so if your arrival is anything later than that you reach out in advance for directions to access the property. Overall a typical New England style Inn in a typical New England town that is a cozy respite for a weary traveler. I would say my most accurate rating would be 3 1/2 stars.

Tin 'n' Lint feels familiar…read more It's bursting with character, old charm, and of course lots of charming characters. As one of the oldest operating bars in Saratoga Springs, it has been around since the 70's. Apparently many musical greats used to hang out here after gigs. If you skim through some of the Yelp reviews of Tin 'n' Lint - you'll find accounts of those that used to patronize this spot back in the day. It's obviously done something right throughout the years. Today it's a welcoming spot for local regulars and passerbys. It is a simple straightforward bar that isn't trying to be anything that it's not. The booths and tables are etched with names and memories. The walls are lined with old photos. It's brimming with historical captures of fond happy times - and of people coming together. Tin 'n' Lint proved to be a ideal spot for catching up with some of my husband's friends from the area a number of weeks back. Snagging a spacious booth was easy and there was never a wait to order drinks. The jukebox would intermittently play a diverse array of tunes throughout our time here, and we watched a number of people playing pool. I appreciated that this cozy spot was well lit - allowing for solid people watching and enabling you to easily catch up with friends and/or potentially make new ones. Be prepared to encounter a number of interesting attendees during your time here. We ended up meeting quite a few during our time here. Also be sure to bring cash - since it is cash only. If you want a non pretentious bar with history and regulars - Tin 'n' Lint is your spot. Trust.

The food absolutely delivered. The chicken wings had that perfect crunch in every bite, and everything we ordered was on point, the pasta lovers (chicken and shrimp over penne), the chicken stack with eggplant, and the wings were all excellent. What stood out just as much was the service. Even though the place was packed, it still felt cozy, and the staff never missed a beat. Drinks were never empty, and you could tell the team is well-trained and dialed in. The owner was right there in the mix, delivering food, making drinks, and greeting customers. That kind of presence says a lot about a place. Nice touch on the way out too, being thanked for coming. It's simple, but it sticks. Definitely a spot worth going back to! PS don't skip dessert!

Luckily they were open so I could grab a bite. It's located in the historic town of Charlton and the place is quaint with a welcoming cozy feel. This would be a nice gathering place in colder months, as the stone fireplace is a major attraction as you walk in. For my snack, I had the classic calamari, the tavern poutine along with a grilled vegetable salad to share. I figured I would balance out my cheat day with some vegetables haha. It all came together quickly, and the wait wasn't bad. The portion size here is very shareable. My favorite by far was the tavern poutine as the breaded cheese curds and house made gravy with bacon really hits the spot. The calamari was a little on the chewy side and not as tender as I'd hoped. I would definitely pass on it. The grilled salad was presented nicely but had a ton of creamy balsamic on it. I would make a mental note to ask for dressing on the side. I personally am not a fan of overly dressed greens as I prefer them crisp. It wasn't bad, but not something I'd order again. Overall, my experience here was nice and I look forward to stopping in again.

Their old fashioned yet charming interior, has a relaxed vibe that has you looking forward to a good meal. Upon entering, I was immediately shown to a table by their friendly and welcoming staff. I enjoyed my warm crusty bread with herb butter as I looked over their menu. It was not an easy decision, as I was interested in many of their dishes. I decided on a meatball marinara appetizer and their lasagna which was made from their recipe that's over a 100 years old. Also ,their roasted eggplant with red pepper, ricotta, spinach and pesto and marinara baked with mozzarella over linguine. Their portions are generous and if I were really truthful, I did overindulge in another helping of bread. It's a necessary vehicle, to sop up good marinara sauce when the opportunity presents itself. I almost forgot to mention, that their house salad really hit the spot. My leftovers became an excellent lunch the next day. My only regret was that I didn't have room for dessert. This is a good excuse as any to go back there to try their other dishes all while making another attempt at having dessert!
