Visited the Silloway Maple Sugarhouse as an impromptu stop during my belated birthday weekend, which ended up being a delight. It was off-season, so it was a nice surprise that they were open. Even without seeing the boiling, seeing the production equipment up close was cool. The lady working there took us through the space and talked about how the farm has evolved over the decades. After the chat and what we learned, we had a tasting of the different types of maple syrups, sampling the four Vermont syrup grades along with several infused varieties. The range of maple products--syrup, candy, cream, and more--made it hard to leave empty-handed. We bought the maple creamy ice cream in a pint, maple cream, and a bottle of syrup. The Airbnb yurt we stayed at also had Silloway goodies for us as a gift, so we were very lucky to go home with a great selection. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it to those in the area or visiting. I would love to go back in the summer!

This place is a must! The creeme ice creams are to die for and the maple syrup...the best you've ever tasted. Be sure to ask for a tour. So worth it!!! Great people, tasty treats, and lovely family business! And be sure to grab one of Liesha's pies on your way out the door! You will not be disappointed!

This was an unplanned stop as we wanted one more cremeee before leaving VT. I guess we saved the best for last - the service and the creemee were exceptional. We loved all the toppings available, and the pumpkin spice maple sugar was perfect on my cone. I wanted to try the habanero maple syrup, but didn't know if that would work on a cone. The staff was so friendly and had great personality. The building is beautiful and really interesting. There are large goats and horses to boot! We are so glad we took a chance.

Came across Silloway Maple when browsing about things to do in Vermont and let me tell you ... it was the best trip detour I have ever made. My family and I were immediately greeted by all the various employees as we entered. After briefly browsing the store and seeing all of their various products, we were given a personal tour of the entire maple syrup factory process. Our tour guide was very passionate about the various machines and made it a memorable experience. At the culmination of the tour, we tried various types of maple syrup, even some that were infused with other flavors! It's a little bit off the highway, but I would wholeheartedly recommend coming to Silloway Maple. Can't wait to stop by again!

We went on a road trip last summer and found Silloway Maple. Ms. Betty was so kind and sweet to us. She shared about the farm's history. When we were there, we had some maple creemees. It was by far the best we'd had. She shared the reason why. Most ice cream places use artificial maple in their creemee. She said that they use natural maple in their ice cream. I also purchased a bottle of their bourbon maple syrup. It is so yummy and delicious. We primarily will use it as a topping over ice cream. This little farm and its products are five stars for us!!

Maple creemee. Should have gotten two.

We loved our experience here! Fun tour and great samples. Best creemee in VT. Definitely worth a stop on your trip.

Delicious maple creamees! Double check the creamery hours which are different than the store hours.

I just found out about Fat Toad Farm-a local Vermont Family Farm and purchased a small batch of:…read more COLD BREW COFFEE FLAVORED CARAMEL! It was packaged in their own hand stamped classy gift bag with a wooden serving spoon attached! What a wonderful concept....artisan made caramel sourced with goat's milk in the following flavors: Original, Vanilla Bean, Vermont Maple, Cold Brew Coffee, Spicy Dark Chocolate, Irish Whiskey Cream, Salted Bourbon, and Cinnamon. What I LOVE: That a Vermont Family raises their own goats, harvests the goats milk, teams up with other locally sourced entrepreneurs to create a variety of caramel flavors! They also offer locally sourced honey from a small batch raw honey apiary called Hera's Bees. Which sustainably harvests honey from their hives while allowing enough for each harvested hive to sustain itself through the cold Vermont winters! We were greeted by Judith's 3 dogs, what a welcoming! They wanted their ball to be thrown. One of the last reviews stated they were generally there 10-4 on weekends so we took a chance, and I am glad we did. Judith shared their story, invited us to check out the production facility just over the ridge and even go see the goats a few miles away at the goat creamery / dairy. I have always been a fan of caramel, but had no idea you could take it to this level of flavor. We bought the 2oz jar sampler packs to return home to Pennsylvania. The salted bourbon and Vermont maple caramels were my favorite, my wife enjoyed the cold brew caramel and cinnamon. We plan to cut up some fresh apples when we get home to enjoy of new found heaven and remember just how nice Judith was and how she shared a piece of her life with us. Vermont is a beautiful place!
