I just found out about Fat Toad Farm-a local Vermont Family Farm and purchased a small batch of:…read more COLD BREW COFFEE FLAVORED CARAMEL! It was packaged in their own hand stamped classy gift bag with a wooden serving spoon attached! What a wonderful concept....artisan made caramel sourced with goat's milk in the following flavors: Original, Vanilla Bean, Vermont Maple, Cold Brew Coffee, Spicy Dark Chocolate, Irish Whiskey Cream, Salted Bourbon, and Cinnamon. What I LOVE: That a Vermont Family raises their own goats, harvests the goats milk, teams up with other locally sourced entrepreneurs to create a variety of caramel flavors! They also offer locally sourced honey from a small batch raw honey apiary called Hera's Bees. Which sustainably harvests honey from their hives while allowing enough for each harvested hive to sustain itself through the cold Vermont winters! Thank you Judith for nicely packaging and sending me the Cold Brew Coffee Caramel and Hera's Bees Honey! We were greeted by Judith's 3 dogs, what a welcoming! They wanted their ball to be thrown. One of the last reviews stated they were generally there 10-4 on weekends so we took a chance, and I am glad we did. Judith shared their story, invited us to check out the production facility just over the ridge and even go see the goats a few miles away at the goat creamery / dairy. I have always been a fan of caramel, but had no idea you could take it to this level of flavor. We bought the 2oz jar sampler packs to return home to Pennsylvania. The salted bourbon and Vermont maple caramels were my favorite, my wife enjoyed the cold brew caramel and cinnamon. We plan to cut up some fresh apples when we get home to enjoy of new found heaven and remember just how nice Judith was and how she shared a piece of her life with us. Vermont is a beautiful place!

Very good cheese all around! There is no doubt that this creamery makes some fantastic goat cheese…read more This is especially true due to there being very few goat cheese options in my city of Pittsburgh beyond the standard supermarket brand. This cheese doesn't taste like foodservice. It takes like genuinely delicious artisan cheese. As far as I know, this particular location on Yelp is not open to the public. Maybe it was at one point, but newer reviews point to it being closed now. So I probably wouldn't recommend making the drive here just for some free samples, especially considering the cheese isn't expensive anyway. I was able to acquire some from a local Aldi for just a few dollars ($3-4, I believe). I was quite blown away. The cheese is so creamy and all around perfect. No grittiness, perfectly pure flavor that truly makes it feel like an upscale experience. This particular cheese is a dip, but I ate it straight from the container because that's how good it is. Plus, it's also quite light! 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, and around 250 for the entire container! I will say, though, it's tough to get your hands on this product sometimes. All in all, I highly recommend giving the Vermont Creamery's cheeses a try. The goat cheese dip is fantastic, and I enjoyed it straight out of the container. I'm sure their other products are just as delicious, and they make for a great gift, appetizer, or snack.

I have been enamored with Vermont creamery since I worked at Whole Foods in New England, so this was at the top of my list to visit. What you're actually visiting is their corporate offices. Inside they look a little like a fancy, corporate barn. The staff is SO welcoming. When you get there, although you can't do a tour, you can taste your way thru their award winning cheeses. I forget the front desk woman's name but she was THE NICEST. Upon walking in, she asks if we want to try some cheese. Well, of course we did! She walks on back to the kitchen and a few minutes later emerges with something magnificent. A wooden cheese board in the shape of the state of Vermont featuring: - 3 kinds of goat cheese: pepper jelly, honey, and regular - cultured butter: yes, we ate this by the spoonful alone and have zero regrets. - creme fraiche with vanilla - their award winning Bonn bouche- an ash ripened goat cheese that is stinky and delish! All of this was on the house! Then you can purchase anything you'd like but at cost which is AMAZING! We brought home a ton of goat cheese from here and our friends and family were extremely pleased. Loved visiting Vermont Creamery

Like Wall Drug, Vermont style! Filled with stuff that…read moretourists wants and nobody needs. Nice to walk around for a few minutes. Excellent place to stop and pee. Upstairs is the Vermont Toy Museum which is worth a look, even though it feels like it hasn't been updated or dusted in years. The parking lot is huge! Good thing it wasn't very crowded this morning when we stopped.

This place was unfortunately kind of a letdown, but perhaps it's a sign of the times (post-COVID,…read moremask wearing, no sampling world). We came here because they were the closest spot that sells Cabot cheese since we couldn't get up to the actual Cabot factory. All the reviews talking about the miles of cheese samples were not to be found. They sold some cheeses in the back but it wasn't a very big selection. I also found them to be no different than the Cabot cheese sold in my local grocery store back home in CT. Is that just what Cabot does? Is there nothing special about Cabot when you get it in VT? Cabot signs all over making it know they're an official retailer of Cabot cheese but then no different than a grocery store selection. They have miles of maple syrup to select from but you pretty much just have to blindly choose one since you can't taste any samples. Was really excited about this place but a letdown for sure. May not be any fault of theirs, but I would skip this shop for one that allows samples unless you know what you're buying.
