I am a lifetime Vermonter, I stopped in here to get some maple syrup for my neighbors in Florida for my next trip. The store is lovely. There's lots of things to see and purchase. Of course things are a little pricey. I did, however, notice that some of the marinades / dressings were near expiration and they weren't discounted which I thought was a mistake. Not the right time of year to go to a maple farm, but what the heck - we were here in Vermont. Bought some maple syrup and a souveniere t-shirt plus a couple of gifts to take back home. Okay, sure, it's a bit of a tourist trap, and growing up in Plymouth MA, I know from tourist traps. But this is a GOOD tourist trap, that while stocking the usual selection of Vermont-y sweatshirts, ball caps, refrigerator magnets, a wall of maple syrup containers and the like, it also carries (a) a broad selection of cheeses, jams, and various treats, which (b) are of good quality, and (c) surprisingly reasonably priced. The two ladies running the place are polite and cheerful, and we dropped a fair bit of coin only partially on the friends who were petsitting for us for the week. This is worth patronizing, and when our path finds us in Burlington again, we'll come back. read more

This place has great items but BE CAREFUL and pay in cash my boyfriend got 39$ worth of stuff and got charged 39$ twice they where not that bothered and told him to go to the bank the bank told them it was actually charged at dakin farms. I have been a customer for a couple of years buying items for myself and sending gifts to children and friends. The food and service has always been quite good. Unfortunately my order for Christmas dinner was messed up and as a result complicated things for us. That being said, I willing cut them some slack because of the Covid related issues businesses are struggling with. I reached out to Dakin and explained my disappointment and without asking they refunded me the entire cost $275 of my order. They went overboard to make good. Bottom line is these are good people serving very good food. I happily recommend them strongly. read more

I have ordered from Dankin Farms on line and was excited to visit their stores. I visited both stores and one thing was clearly evident at both locations... no customer service. We were never greeted, never helped and never even talked to at both locations. It was disappointing that we expressly made it a point to visit the stores after our wonderful online experience only to find out that the employees could care less that a customer is in the store. read more

I am very disappointed with the ham that I received for Christmas. When I called to order the ham for Christmas I ordered a spiral ham, fully expecting to receive a bone in ham and instead I received a ham That was more like a rolled ham that you get in a can, and certainly not $114 worth of ham. Turned our Christmas dinner into somewhat of a disaster for me. Only the second time I've ordered from this company and obviously I will not order from them again. My first trip to Vermont and I came upon this store in an obscure mall behind my hotel. I was amazed by the variety: Cheeses, Preserves, Jams, Maple Syrup, Honey etc. By reading the literature in the store, came to learn this Farm is a part of Vermont history. I purchased a bottle of Maple Syrup, Cabot Cheese, some preserves and Kitchen towels. Some are priced higher than supermarkets. But, since this was out of my way, decided to buy as souvenirs. They have a lot of tasting with thin crackers and I spent half my time tasting in the store. One thing about customer service, I hope the two people working there at least greet or guide a customer on purchases. The store was empty and a great opportunity, given there are a lot of hotels around with travelers who may spend more if given attention. read more

I absolutely love the products. However I called to place an order because the website kept timing out. The gentleman who answered the phone couldn't spell and I had to repeat myself every word. You shouldn't have someone answer the phone that can't soel. Boulevard should be pretty easy. It was painful. While I was on lithe phone trying to place an order for just three items I asked if he had slab bacon in a smaller package than 4 lbs. he said can you give me a product number. He should be able to look that up. I told him to cancel the order. I'd get something comparable at another purveyor. Don't know that I will order again. read more

Great products and super customer service! I have been visiting and buying products from Daiken Farm for many years. The quality and value have never dissapointed. For many family gatherings and holidays, Daiken's hams have been a constant on our dinner table. This your I've moved and ordered a Daiken ham as I wasn't able to go to the store. The ham arrived as promised, but unfortunatly differed slightly from my order. When I called Daiken customer service I was told that the appropriate ham would be expedited and arrive before the holiday: it did, and at no additional cost, or return. I bought some Vermont fudge from Dakin farms and didn't realize till I got that the package said partially produced with genetic engineering. Why not make fudge that doesn't have 19 ingredients that don't look good. I say no to GMO's ! I hope you get or make fudge that's fresh with 7 simple ingredients! read more

I loved the store. It's totally Vermont and incredibly adorable. I dropped by the store today around 11 am as I was there for a business on the second floor. I kindly greeted the woman behind the counter and asked if she could point me in the right direction. She gave me directions but was horribly unhelpful and unfriendly otherwise. I wished her a good day after thanking her for the help. She didn't respond. You could say she was having a bad day but I sensed something else; that is to say with me; the professional woman of color. That's a shame because my intent was to handle my business on the second floor, go back to the car and grab my purse so I could return to Dakin Farm to shop. I'm a super polite, southern charmer and she was ridiculously quite the opposite! I went to Vermont Gift Shop instead and they were great :-) read more

In the past the quality of food and service has been excellent. However, perhaps they just can no longer give excellent service due to increased marketing (I was barraged with sale e-mails in recent weeks!). I placed my order on November 18th. When my order did not arrive I called and the customer service staff said... "we are doing the best we can"... which meant my order finally arrived TWO DAYS LATE and AFTER the scheduled brunch for which I had placed the order. Plus not everything I ordered was even sent... they ran out of the baked goods. If this is their best service these days... I will look elsewhere... my event was a stress filled beginning to the holiday season. read more
