When God Rewept & His Tears Hit The Ground, They Turned Into Honeybees~~~(Egyptian Myth)

There can never be enough Cheese. Am I right or am I right? Located right in Quechee Gorge Village, Cabot has your complete arsenal for all things Cheese. Here's the neat thing- there's a Cheese Sample island, where you explore the different types of Cheddar with: Jalapeño, Buffalo-flavored and Herbs. Monterey Jack Cheese also- with different flavor additions. Display is well-kept and hygienic with toothpick dispensers throughout the island. As well as these "Cheese shakers" (you'd use for Parmesan Cheese)- to throw away your used toothpicks. Crackers and Spreadable Cheese swirled with Wine are readily available. Ladies at the cash register were a hoot and pleasant. By the way- you'll fine local goods beyond Cheese and actually picked up local Vermont honey to bring home.

I've just been to the Cabot shop up in Waterbury so I knew what to expect. I think that one is a lot roomier and spacious but they have more-or-less the same stuff. Certainly the same cheeses and samples, tons of 'em. And a lot more Vermont products including beers and wines and crackers and spirits and such. Well worth the stop but if you are only going to do one or the other, I'd recommend the one in Waterbury instead.

Forget lunch when you can and will fill up on their cheesey cheddary goodness samples. On our trip here, we sampled the smoked Gouda, milds, sharps, pepperjacks and because of this, found out one of our faves is their horseradish cheddar! They also make such yummy spreads for crackers and such. Inside a mall that connects from one antique store to the next culminating in a distillery, or if you're coming from the other direction, a little pen full of cute alpacas! Worth coming and bring a cooler to transport goodies home.

Cheese, cheese and more cheese plenty to sample and decide upon your favorite(s). I'm partial to the horseradish myself. There are spreads and other items. Wines to be had because you know -wine and .... cheese! Picnic basket staples or maybe for a day trip backpack, ha ha. Oh, and just in case you failed to miss Maple Syrup in your travels (Vermont's Wine, life blood, etc., )they have that here also. I noted it was more reasonably priced then another tourist store. They had some woods smoked maple syrup and a balsamic reduction amongst other interesting items. Vermont is a place that does awesome things with maple and I love Maple. Cabot has awesome cheese and dairy. Plus some intriguing items on their shelves. All in all a great stop and I'd return when in the area. Very much recommend as a stop. Bring a cooler for any trip up here because you will want to bring home some delicious Vermont products including Cabot's great treats!

This location is in the The Vermont Antique Mall. There is a ton of stuff to see and do in the mall, but we stopped for Cabot! We'd been to the main location and did a tour and had bought some cheese, but on our way home to Indiana we decided we need to eat, I mean buy more cheese! They have a ton of samples. Like a ton. Every kind of cheese you can think of they have! There was a lady keeping the bowls fill and it wasn't busy when we were there. I think prices were about the same as the previous Cabot location we had been to the week before. We ended up with a few more bars! I tried to get flavors that aren't sold at home. The horseradish and everything bagel are my favorites. This location also had Maple Sugar products. I looked, but our previous stop was a Sugar farm and we'd already picked up mainly gifts for people. But everything and I mean everything was cheaper here. The maple sugar was $5 cheaper. I was pretty sad. I wish we had stopped here first. I didn't realized there would be such a price difference for the exact same brand and products. Stop here for tons of cheese samples! They had a huge selection!

Had a great time exploring this complex. They had tons of delicious cheeses you can try!

Awesome place! I was SO thrilled to find a Cabot store nearby during my fall trip to Killington. It is in strip mall that is connected to all the other stores so there is more to see in this location than just the store. The cheese is also priced GREAT! We bought a ton of cheese and maple syrup products while here. My favorite is the Everything Bagel cheese- try it!!! This location is also located right next to this AMAZING view of a valley- see attached pic that I took of my husband in front of it!

This place is awesome. It has that wooden rustic New England feel. They sell many local favorites such as real maple syrup and various jams and food. However, it does remind me of Costco in that they have sampling stations everywhere, from maple syrup to cheese, popcorn, and dips. I was starving so took a few bites. The cheese selection is especially impressive. I was going back to New York after this visit so didn't want to bring anything back, but if I lived in the area, I definitely would have bought the spicy habenero cheese and a jug of maple syrup!!

Love it here. Free…read morecompletely free - no admission fee, no parking fee. Very friendly people. Small business vibes. Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

Very good cheese all around! There is no doubt that this creamery makes some fantastic goat cheese…read more This is especially true due to there being very few goat cheese options in my city of Pittsburgh beyond the standard supermarket brand. This cheese doesn't taste like foodservice. It takes like genuinely delicious artisan cheese. As far as I know, this particular location on Yelp is not open to the public. Maybe it was at one point, but newer reviews point to it being closed now. So I probably wouldn't recommend making the drive here just for some free samples, especially considering the cheese isn't expensive anyway. I was able to acquire some from a local Aldi for just a few dollars ($3-4, I believe). I was quite blown away. The cheese is so creamy and all around perfect. No grittiness, perfectly pure flavor that truly makes it feel like an upscale experience. This particular cheese is a dip, but I ate it straight from the container because that's how good it is. Plus, it's also quite light! 45 calories for 2 tablespoons, and around 250 for the entire container! I will say, though, it's tough to get your hands on this product sometimes. All in all, I highly recommend giving the Vermont Creamery's cheeses a try. The goat cheese dip is fantastic, and I enjoyed it straight out of the container. I'm sure their other products are just as delicious, and they make for a great gift, appetizer, or snack.

I have been enamored with Vermont creamery since I worked at Whole Foods in New England, so this was at the top of my list to visit. What you're actually visiting is their corporate offices. Inside they look a little like a fancy, corporate barn. The staff is SO welcoming. When you get there, although you can't do a tour, you can taste your way thru their award winning cheeses. I forget the front desk woman's name but she was THE NICEST. Upon walking in, she asks if we want to try some cheese. Well, of course we did! She walks on back to the kitchen and a few minutes later emerges with something magnificent. A wooden cheese board in the shape of the state of Vermont featuring: - 3 kinds of goat cheese: pepper jelly, honey, and regular - cultured butter: yes, we ate this by the spoonful alone and have zero regrets. - creme fraiche with vanilla - their award winning Bonn bouche- an ash ripened goat cheese that is stinky and delish! All of this was on the house! Then you can purchase anything you'd like but at cost which is AMAZING! We brought home a ton of goat cheese from here and our friends and family were extremely pleased.
