Delicious Maple Creemee, served up in a heavenly setting!
Edward K.

Based upon my advanced research before a recent trip to Vermont, I knew I wanted to try a Maple Creemee. I saw that the Green Mountain Sugar House had them and I planned accordingly. The store is very nice, cool selection of food items and other gift shop/souvenir choices. The staff was pleasant. When we first arrived, I noticed that there's a gorgeous view of a lake from an outdoor seating area. We took our Maple Creemees outside and enjoyed them in a perfect spot. The Maple Creemee itself was excellent. Texturally and looks wise, it resembles vanilla soft serve. From a flavor standpoint, it delivers the perfect amount of maple. I'd certainly return for another.

Thank you Yelp! Parking out front. This place was definitely a local gem. I probably would have passed it but I'm so glad I did not. This is a cute store with amazing maple syrup ice cream We picked up a gallon of Vermont maple syrup and I'm glad we did as it was a good addition to our waffles. I'll be back next time I'm at Okemo.

This is one of our favorite pit stops in the area, it's a great gift shop full of mostly local products; those fancy goatmilk bar soaps were also nice even though they were milled in another country. Art, accessories, home decor, condiments, candy, coffee... honestly we spend as much on ourselves here as for friends and family. You absolutely must get a maple creemee to enjoy outside with the view, and a tub of maple cream to put in your coffee later.

It was a rough ride getting to the farm. We visited the Jenne Farm before going to the farm. GPS lead us a the most remote road ever. We were in a unpaved rather muddy road and only saw one house on the road. No cell service the whole time. Aside from this, we met two very nice ladies who gave us better directions to get there from Woodstock. So you if are visiting Woodstock, definitely go visit. We had the best cremee ever! Not sure why it didn't make it to the top ten places but this is pretty good. Smooth and actually have maple taste. All you ever ask for.

Passed by this place while driving around, had to stop for a maple cremee! Cute shop, friendly staff and great selection of products. Buy cheese here, cheaper than another similar large store not too far from here.

Great little place near Ludlow VT. We found they have 3 different types of Vermont maple syrup. They have other items from the area to take home

What a great place. We were able to tour the maple house. The gift shop if full of unique gifts, teas, coffee, local cheeses etc. When one comes here you must get a maple creemie. So delicious.

Outside

This is a maple syrup store, ice cream shop serving Maple Creemees, and gift shop, they makes maple syrup on site and you can taste a sample. Amazing view with some seating area to enjoy your treats and take in nature and the scenery.

Fantastic cone! Highly recommend. Medium sized filled me up. The flavor isn't too sweet and very creamy.

Love it here. Free…read morecompletely free - no admission fee, no parking fee. Very friendly people. Small business vibes. Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

I'm a cheese head…read more So when my friend was making our itinerary for a trip to VT, I was really excited to try this place! Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

Located in Manchester VT a very homey little candy shop…read more You walk into this place in Manchester and just kinda think...why does this store fit perfectly for where I am at at this moment? It's truly a pleasant little store. The lady seemed a little weirded out when my brother and I first walked in. We were in Manchester for the night, on our way back to NY from a week in Maine. She looked at us like....hmm I dunno, don't wanna say anything mean bc she wasn't mean lol, she just looked at us ... weirdly lol. Not sure how else to put it. As our visit went on she ended up being very nice. I just hope she didn't think we were in there to like...steal a couple pieces of candy hahaha. I mean, we aren't 10 years old anymore lol. She then went on to tell us about the store and how all the candy is made there (pretty sure that's what she said). I just remember thinking....how wonderful that this stuff isn't imported from places like...ugh China! They have everything! Every possible kind of candy you can imagine...she has it. She gave us a free sample and it was amazing! There are few great candy shoppes in Manchester. This one is definitely one of them. Prices are a little...high. Just a heads up if you go here. Couple things to consider as to why tho... 1) it's Manchester VT. It's a very bougie little town. Only makes sense most things are pricey there 2) privately owned 3) candy is made on site 4) it's Manchester Vermont lol Should this stop you from going? Absolutely not. Even if you're just in to look...it's worth it. Really a cute store. I hope to return to it one day. Living in Idaho, I rarely make it to Vermont lol. BUT IF I DO! I will for sure head back into Mother Myricks! Thanks for reading, YelperMyrickers! Cheers!

I also bought a peach-raspberry muffin and a blueberry muffin. The muffins looked great but were without ANY flavor. Downright awful, not sure what that was about, but the chocolates were very good. I don't think they were quite as good as Lake Champlain chocolates, but they were a close second. I always appreciate the freshness factor (in addition to flavor), so it mattered that the orange peel and apricots were very fresh. If we are ever in the area, I'd come back here for sure, but I'd stick with the chocolates only. No more baked goods !
