This is the place in Lebanon to get fabulous, delicious cream. First: the portions are gigantic so start with a small! I ordered a large once and just had ice cream for dinner. Second: the variety is massive. Almost any flavor is possible. The quality is lovely, and I only wish I could get unattached to my few favorite ice cream flavors to try the others! Third: they take cash; however, they do accept credit cards, sort of, if you absolutely do not have cash. You need to walk to the driving range down the sidewalk and to the right of the ice cream shop and pay there. Fourth: you can check their daily soft serve and hard serve flavors at foreugolf.com. Fifth: this place does have a playground, picnic tables, mini golf and the driving range. And it's all near a Home Depot. What's more New England than ice cream in the Summer? Although our usual stomping grounds are elsewhere, we made a stop on our trip to visit Montreal. With generous portion sizes (a baby was enough for my crew), very reasonable prices, and plenty of selection to choose from, this place has earned a return visit from us. I also had a hard sugar cone with their Maine Deer Tracks and Maine Bear Tracks. Not sure which one I liked more; decent flavors, but I'd go for something else next time. Even on a cold, windy miserable day there can be a long line or you may think just crazy people. Crazy for ice cream that is. Bring an extra sweatshirt as it can get breezy there. Bug spray may be helpful too just not around the ice cream. So who would have figured you'd go to Home Depot for ice cream but now you can since it is right next door! Fore-U Golf has a store, golfing, and an ice cream shop. There are many ice cream choices, drinks, fraps, sundaes, pops, drinks and more. More like hot dogs! There are lots of flavors in both hard a soft as well as a flavor of the week. Check that out since you can get a large size for the smaller price. The flavor changes each week as do the special soft serves. They have dry and liquid toppings as well as the hard dips. If you are not sure about the size ask someone who just ordered. Their baby size is more like a small/medium at other places and the price is about $0.85. For the 6 of us to get ice cream we can drop an easy $20 (yes cheaper to buy it at the grocery store but you don't get the experience) but here we were able to get everyone a cone with toppings for about $8! And it is good ice cream. The thought of a banana split sounded fun so we decided to try it. I liked having the banana and did a mix and match. Strawberry topping with Strawberry ice cream, Pineapple topping with Orange-Pineapple ice cream, and lastly Hot Fudge over Vanilla Bean all served with whipped cream (canned) with peanuts (but you can pick walnuts or no nuts) served with cherries...I asked for additional ones so each of my 4 kids could have one...yeah no fighting. The Strawberry is not fresh and has the jelly with it. It was ok but I prefer fresh. Not sure if they do this in the summer or not when the berries are in season. I really liked the Pineapple with Orange-Pineapple. It was just the right combo for me. My husband enjoyed a bit of the mix but really likes the choc/van. Overall it was fun but for the amount of ice cream and for the price it may have been worth it to get two scoops with a topping. They have doggie ice cream treats too. Then you, your kids, the pooch can hit the picnic or playground. There are small tables for the tots and larger tables...bring your wet wipes because it can get sticky. The playground has swings, slides, stools, and has a ground cover of mulch to protect precious hands. It also makes if fun when you ooops drop your cone. They have sizes ranging from "baby" to "large" to "quart". I normally also get small serving of ice cream when I do eat it, but coming here, oh gee was I surprised. A baby was more than enough.
