So darn delicious for a road side snackbar! Who knew? Have eaten here twice in the past two days coming and going through Vermont. Both days delicious and will DEFINITELY go back again!

Delicious. So close to trail. ℯ. it was a fine autumn day temperature 67 although this place will close for the season. It's October 19 and they will be open one more week.

GET THE ICE CREAM. Maple ice cream. This is my 2nd maple ice cream in two days, and I am not upset about it. They have awesome food options here too, hot dogs and sandwiches. But the ice cream is really the selling point. Gift shop next door with shirts and magnets; only 5 minutes away from the gorge entrance. A must after hiking the gorge.

Clam Strip Roll & Lobster Roll

Truly a hidden gem! Came here late August 2021* while camping, we decided to treat ourselves and ordered a clam strip roll and a lobster roll- both were served hot and Since then, I have made a point to try lobster rolls whenever I see them offered --which, full disclosure, as a Virginian, hasn't been super often-- but I have yet to find a lobster roll as yummy, generously portioned, and cheap as this one. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area! * I'm posting this review months after the fact because I was lamenting the fact that I couldn't find a good lobster roll in my city and started reminiscing about how delicious this meal was (very)

Hillbilly Food Critic Review: Location: 3/5 (outside behind gift shop) Atmosphere: NA Food: 4/5 Pricing: 4/5 (very reasonable) Here is what you need to know, this is best described as a food stand behind the Quechee Gorge Gifts & Sportswear store. If it is hot, cold or raining, you may want to go someplace else. Ordering is quick and easy at the window. Only outdoor seating. Order the Vermont Maple Shake.

Second: the variety is massive. Almost any flavor is possible. The quality is lovely, and I only wish I could get unattached to my few favorite ice cream flavors to try the others! Third: they take cash; however, they do accept credit cards, sort of, if you absolutely do not have cash. You need to walk to the driving range down the sidewalk and to the right of the ice cream shop and pay there. Fourth: you can check their daily soft serve and hard serve flavors at foreugolf.com. Fifth: this place does have a playground, picnic tables, mini golf and the driving range. And it's all near a Home Depot. Sixth: they don't offer a full food menu but they do serve a hotdog combo with chips and a soda. It's a great family place!

Tina makes amazing sandwiches and great soups in the fall they also try to get most produces locally if possible. The new space is giving artist a place to show and to chill. I also want to point out that all the negative message are from the same people on the same day and it only shows their interpretation. there is no such thing a free water , the owner has to pay for the cups , has to pay for the electricity to make ice cubes so for someone to come into a snack shop to demand and yell the want tap water it's ridiculous. You don't have a Right for that you do have a right to have your own water or pay for a water bottle it's a business after all. So instead of acknowledging that you are wrong you and your family go online and blast a locally owned business. You only came to visit, many many local businesses and people disagree with the negative reviews and there is a reason it's busy many days. It's just good food made with care So yes I HIGHLY recommend coming here and have some food

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!

Sadly this year I didn't get to visit New England - but lucky for me Sugarbush ships nationwide!! So I tried it out and ordered some of their syrup and my fave cheeses. Ordering online via their website was super easy. I ordered my fave dark variety of their maple syrup and 4 cheeses: horseradish cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, sharp cheddar, and Monterey Jack. Their horseradish cheddar is my absolute fave - a wonderful kick of the spicy horseradish blends so well with their rich cheddar. I really love the jalapeño cheddar too - packed full of flavor with just the right amount of kick - not overwhelming but enough to taste it. The other two were great as well - you can definitely tell their cheeses are made fresh on site - flavors are just next level compared to industrial-manufactured cheeses from the grocery store chains. And the maple syrup is also in a league of its own - nothing mass-manufactured from any grocery chain holds a candle to the rich, complex flavors and velvety texture. The syrups also last quite a long time so I'm able to keep my stocks full yearly! Since I was ordering cheese with a long way to travel, and it was still quite warm in parts of the US, their website suggested adding one of their insulated shipping boxes for an extra fee of $8. I didn't want to risk ruining my cheese so I did and all arrived in excellent condition! They pack it in extra insulated styrofoam with ice packs. So it's definitely worth it imo. Next year I'll be in Maine in October so I'll definitely be planning an extra day or two to pop over to Sugarbush on my way back out haha!! See yall next fall!

The hostess was incredibly personable and sweet. I'd had a crap day and really just wanted a beer. It was 5 minutes to close. I figured it wasn't going to happen, but I figured I'd look at their draft menu for the next day and get an idea of what I'd want to eat when I come back. Not only did they take great care of me and get me a MUCH needed beer, but when I came back to eat the next day it got even better! I couldn't decide which beer I wanted. The girl was SO nice and gave me half of each. Good call, because I definitely liked one more than the other! Now HERE is the BEST PART: the worthy burger. Sweet Jesus. I heard angels. Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had. Ever. The bun was perfect and THOSE PICKLES! The cheese was perfectly melted. Just the right amount of secret sauce. Did I mention the pickles were amazing? I also ordered truffle fries with Parmesan and a kid size order of the Mac and cheese. Because real cheese. They weren't bad. The truffle fries were on the milder side, but tasty. Maybe a little soft. Pro tip: get the pesto aoli to dip! I like homemade Mac and cheese and I hardly ate more than a few bites. Not sure what happened between the kitchen and our server, but 2 of 3 main courses came out cool. One was my crab-stuffed sole and the other was our son's $85 filet mignon. We had to let the server know. She brought over the manager who said they would "reheat" our dishes. I questioned him, um, "reheat" not remake? He said he could redo them but the steak will take 25 minutes (son's father had already dug into his duck by this point). Manager said if we try reheating it and it's not to our liking he'd take the steak (no mention of the sole) off the bill. We said fine, let's try reheating so as to resume eating asap. Of course the steak was no longer medium-rare and my fish was pretty awful. The most annoying thing is that he/manager NEVER acknowledged my meal being cold and removing it from the bill. Only my son's steak. Why? I don't know. In general, I think the food here is overpriced and very underwhelming. Now I know and I don't need to go back.Food did not have the flavors outlined in the descriptions. Our Waitress was very good though (not her fault the food was not to par for the price).
