This place seems to be a great option for birthday cakes and morning pastries, but I would advise getting your sandwiches elsewhere.

I emailed their landlord, which is the Hanover co-op and reported the issue. They said that it was the farmers market management who was responsible for maintaining the landscaping. The Norwich Farmers did not reimburse me or even respond to my emails with their insurance information. I was going to take them to court, but that would involve my insurance and I don't want my rates to go up. I used to be a customer for years as I live locally but due to their complete disregard for their customers, and horrible management I will never return. I can get what I need from the farms I buy from directly. If you value your car or drive an expensive car be aware.

It's good to be an adult in this store, now that I can have whatever I want. All of these treats were less than $6 total, so the prices beat the competition of other designer confectionaries in the area. How were they? The mint was minty without tasting like toothpaste or York peppermint, always my litmus test for a quality mint confection. The maple was mapley, set in such a way so as not to ooze all over when you bite only half instead of cramming the whole thing down your gully. The turtle was generous in its pecan offering, with a sufficient amount of caramel, but perhaps containing too little dark chocolate, leaving this turtle just off balance, though still enjoyable with a fine finish. And the impressive tiramisu truffle that I'm pairing at this very moment with a fine wine? Mmm...tasty, but where is that undeniable and irresistible tiramisu flavor? My tastebuds cannot find. So, a slight disappoint, but nothing to cry over. Today's selections do leave me wondering whether Sweet's confections are handmade or done by machine. If I were a betting man, I would say by machine. The tastes were just a tad too uniform, and I was looking for those subtle variations and imperfections that suggest hand crafting, but did not find. Nonetheless, not a bit was wasted, every bit was appreciated. Something Sweet has been around for quite some time, so I am both shocked and pleased to do their first review. Not many shops in the Powerhouse stand the test of time, but this one has, and that fact should be testament enough to their quality to dollar. They are staged right at the front entrance, so grab a treat to energize your walk around this lovely mall.

Before disappointment could set in the door swings open and Jill, the owner is standing there with a big grin saying : "You need to shop?". Everything was neatly put away which she opened right back up again- reassuring me to take my time. I wasn't the last late shopper that she allowed in but I'll bet I was the most grateful. I just want to say thank you for that act of kindness it went a long way in making our very unusual Easter a little greener.

I called Garden of Eden the afternoon before the internment, sent them a picture of what I had, and asked if there was any chance they could help by the next morning. They went above and beyond. Even though it was a busy time, they were kind, responsive, and somehow made it happen on an extremely tight timeline. The flowers were beautiful, and it meant so much to have that piece taken care of during an emotional and stressful moment. I'm really grateful for their help and would absolutely recommend them.

Got near the frozen food aisle and here comes unmasked coughing employee moving around the back of store. Then she's back to stocking shelves. How is she at work? Has anyone heard of COVID that works here? Needless to say, my hubby wanted to get the hell out of there quickly and now doesn't ever want to go back. It isn't the same store as it was many years ago. They need to look at how great coop stores are in Vt. and copy them. Oh and tell your employees to stay home when sick!

However, the staff are not helpful, not pleasant and are quite rude. If it were not for the flowers themselves I would go elsewhere like Vermont Cut Flowers. They have wonderful flowers with a great staff but I didn't have time to go over there. After having lived in the Upper Valley for about 20 years the attitude sadly reinforces Hanover's reputation. I have enjoyed their annual Dairy Day where they promote products to encourage you to shop at their store but again the overall attitude continues to discourage me from shopping there. The flowers themselves 5 stars. The service probably 1.5.
