Seeing how my fiancé is a craft beer fan, we of course stumbled upon this location. We went on the Saturday of last week (January). It was not busy at all. Maybe just a couple other customers and then what appeared to be obvious owners/family of the business. We arrived around 5 for a quick bite and some beers. There is a mask mandate in the area at the moment so we were required to wear them to our seats. The atmosphere was super cute. Open post and beam with rustic elements throughout. The railroad tack bar was adorable. We ended up sitting at the wooden natural edged long tables lining the wall. At first I thought it may be too big a table but once we started playing with the provided games, we quickly realized it was perfect sized. We didn't even have to move the mancala board once the food and beer arrived. I opted for the the hot dog with chili on it and coleslaw. The "slaw dog". (It was the closest thing they had to a sauerkraut dog). I thought it was great. Definitely a eat with a fork and knife type of meal. Which they provided. The service was pleasant, fast and efficient. My fiancés review will most likely highlight the beers so I'll let him cover that. We will be back for sure. We loved playing games and felt it was a very relaxing atmosphere for family or couples just looking to get out for an evening.

First time here, they had games and a bunch of merchandise. Beer and food was good. Will be going back!

This review is just based on the beer. My family and I visited on Friday after reading the ten, 5-star reviews on Google. We had high expectations after reading all of the glowing reviews., It wasn't too busy. The grounds are actually pretty nice. Right off of the highway. The building is nice, inside and out. The staff were friendly. I had the Little Devil IPA and my sister had the Iris IPA. In appearance they are very slightly hazy. But the taste, wow. Super malty flavor like I was drinking a Budweiser. Not what I would expect for an IPA. Both IPA's were equally malty, no citrus flavor at all. It's not often that I don't finish a beer, but I left about 3/4 of the glass full. If you like a very malty flavored IPA, you'll like the beer. I enjoy citrusy, juicy IPA's. We didn't eat but the food did smell nice. I would recommend this brewery if you like very malty tasting, non-juicy IPA's. They also had a lager and other styles of beer on tap.

The craft beer scene has come to Danville! Red Barn Brewing is set back in beautiful rural Vermont. A mere 15 minute excursion off of Rt. 2, it is actually more accessible than you would think, judging by its location on the map. A couple of things to know up front. They are a small brewing business. Their licensing only allows them to serve samples and flights of samples. They can't serve pints. They have pretzels and peanuts, but don't expect to order food. You can buy bombers or growlers but you can't consume them on the premises. They have four or five small batch brews on tap at a time. Yet, within 10 minutes of the door opening, the place is packed. The beer is the reason to trek out here to a red barn in the middle of nowhere. Currently on tap is a Double IPA, an English Ale, a Porter and a Hefeweizen style wheat. Do yourself a favor and get a flight. Hell, get two. Bring some friends. It's quaint, it's new, it's fun. Then grab a growler of your favorite and enjoy it at home. All the while, feel good that you are supporting an up and coming local business. I'd waste more of your time describing the brews, but let's be honest- you don't care. You're not going to take my word for it anyway, nor should you. Beer is a personal experience. One man's Long Trail is another man's Budweiser. Go out on Oneida Rd. and figure it out for yourself. Don't worry, though, it is waaayyyy better than Budweiser.

Wow what a fantastic place, inside and out. Things have changed since the last review, nine months ago. They serve $1 samples and $4 glasses now (guesstimate 10-14 ounces depending on the strength/kind?) Very cool day excursion with the excellent wood-fired pizza truck pulled up and a local reggae band playing in the fabulous barn. The pizza is reasonably priced but more importantly the savory ingredients are the best I've ever had- gourmet flavor profiles and great beer to boot. It got crowded later in the evening but what do you want? Very chill family and friends setting. My fave was LOLA, the triple-IPA, and and I am not much of a hoppy fan. The porter was very nice too

This brewery was known to be superior 8 or so years ago. Us hop heads in CT dreamed about it but never tasted. We were curious, their location was intriguing. It also made us skeptical. So the snow is falling, it's approaching 4pm, the drive brings you up a hill on the dirt road. Add beer to the uncertainty of the moment, it was perfect for anxiety, excitement and first tastes. Draft one was a nitro stout. Yeah, like Guinness but... UNBELIEVABLE. Just that good. Then an IPA close to their origin. Simple. Again, UNBELIEVABLE. Easy sell, I bought each 4 pack available. Asked for a restaurant in Montpelier. The Three Penny Taproom was... UNBELIEVABLE. (Chickpeas, Chicken Nuggs and Hill Farmstead all over the place.) Of course the brewery guys recommended it, and the gas station at Willey's in Greensboro. So we survived the "brief flurry", and a Taproom extraordinaire. The beer is ready for a Connecticut Christmas and will be compared to the beer from Burlington, Stowe and Deerfield. All great brews. The anticipation of enjoying Hill Farmstead beer was just as exciting as the trip and first taste. So, If you need a trip, find them. No complaining about the distance and remoteness, please. It's where they are. Yeah, you can find the beer in other places in state. I look forward to getting it at those spots. I look forward to seeing the brewery in the summer!

There are now areas to be able to drink onsite. They have a bunch of seating, high and low, and they also have a stage for musicians. It was intriguing to peek behind the curtain and they even offer paid tours. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and enthusiastic about the products. We loved the chill vibe of the location, as they had an open outdoors area with seating and lawn games, including disc golf and corn hole. There was also an outdoor patio with a couch and stage for live performances. It was a place I could see myself kicking back at on the regular if I were local to the area. The location was not serving food when we visited though a food truck was located on site and said it would be opening in May. They did have complementary bags of pretzels available for guests to take. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the fun merch for sale. We purchased a hat. My husband enjoyed his beer and regrets not purchasing a four pack to take home.
