Over a month later on Jan 13th they finally told me they never sent in my insurance claim and they don't even have it so I had to resend it. They told me the claim finally got approved and the check will be here in 10-14 days. It's been 26 days and I still have nothing. My unit got broken into sometime in October and I still have not gotten my insurance payout because these people have no clue what they are doing, they pretended like they help but do nothing, and they honestly screw over the customers. I've talked to a lot of other renters and everyone I have talked to has been treated poorly by these people. Almost every conversation includes I'm looking for a new place. The gates and doors are broken all the time so I find homeless and other people who shouldn't be there. The amount of times I've seen someone trying to steal a bike out front or something is crazy. They've also messed up my card payments 3-5 times. I have auto pay and have always had money on my cards, yet somehow every few months I get an email saying thanks for finally paying and there was a late fee added. They even sent me emails that they cut off my own lock and put their lock on because "I missed a payment." Honestly it's taking everything in me not to go in and curse these awful individuals out. They still have not fixed their shit and they decide to throw more shit on me all of the time. I am so fucking over it. Once they finally give me my couple thousand, I'm probably going to find a new place too. Awful awful awful. Honestly they have seriously damaged my financial well being because of all this. They told me my claim was in in December so I bought my stuff back, it was over $6K stolen because they said they check would be there in a few weeks. Now it's been 3 months and still no check and my bank is still way lower than it should be because I used all my savings. I hate GreenBox. Not to mention, they also refused to let me use the truck when I moved in and they said that's free.

I have called now 5 or 6 times and "He's away from the office. This is the call center and we cannot help you. Call back later". Yes, it was understandable the first or second times but by the 5th or 6th time, it's either a total scam that prevents you from getting your money back or the most inefficient, non-customer focused process in the history of storage centers. I saw that they had quite a wide variety of sizes and accessibility. Including a 10' X 20' unit that was double the size of my previous unit for not a whole lot more than I was paying. I sent the conditions I was looking for including accessibility and the ability to drive my motorcycle into the unit and received a prompt phone call the next morning. Ruthie acknowledged my conditions up front without having to repeat the information I had already provided. They had multiple options available in the size I was looking for. Ruthie was willing to be available based on my personal schedule within business hours. It was easy to find, conveniently located with multiple routes to get there depending on the direction you are coming from. Miss Ruthie was as pleasant as could be. She was honest in answering my questions about potential for any safety or crime issues. She walked me to the unit, and was the one to point out that the light bulb was burnt out. I was satisfied and we walked back. Not to get too far off topic but when we made it back to the office, there was another lady working the counter dealing with a young couple that were trying to rent a pick up truck. The young lady must have been a princess from a far away land because she was talking to the woman working like a peasant, trying to negotiate the rental contract as if the woman behind the counter was the CEO of uhaul. The woman behind the counter continued to be patient and kind with the lady. The demands continued and then the boyfriend chimed in. He rudely asked, "Can I get a shovel since I guess you don't clean your trucks around here!" Mind you, it had just snowed over a foot the day before... Ruthie turns around and smiles at me. Realizing the situation, I let her know that I'm in no hurry and she can do what ever she needs to do. Miss Ruthie grabs a push broom and proceeds outside to clean out the pickup truck. Princess Jasmine starts in again and demands furniture blankets and starts telling her she refuses to pay any extra. The boy-friend comes back again, "What is she doing with a push broom? Does she even know what she is doing?". Not to drift further away from the review but this kid looked Napoleon Dynamite. Frail enough that it might be a chore to leave the video game console, let alone had ever lifted a shovel or pushed a broom. Anyway, the woman behind the counter tried to explain to them that the blankets were a bad idea for keeping things dry but politely told the couple that she was happy to accommodate. She finishes the couple up and immediately comes to me and smiles as if nothing had happened. She introduces herself as Andrea, thanks me and says she can finish me up. She gives me a quick list of what they needed and then goes in and reviews the current promotions to get me the best deal available. Ruthie comes in while we were completing the paperwork process and offers me coffee. Aside from the drama they were dealing with, my entire process including paperwork and payment took less than 20 minutes. I would like to note than I have been a professional in the costumer service industry for over 20 years and I would not have been able to maintain the composer and professionalism that Ruthie and Andrea displayed. The staff there is wonderful, and really there to help you fit your needs. Their webpage is so easy to navigate making paying online fast and convenient, especially when you're out of state. The units and grounds are emaculate, and facility is located right off the highway so its easily accessible. I wouldnt recommend any place else other than My Place Storage. Prices are unbeatable, service is excellent, and they really went beyond my expectations. There is nothing pleasant about moving, no matter what your situation, but April and staff truly added some sunshine to what was otherwise an extremely stressful and chaotic day. Thank you for that.
