I have been waiting for them to communicate a time to come install a part. They recommended the part to order and I ordered it. I told them when it came in and they asked for my address, availability schedule, and phone number, but I have heard nothing productive since. I have sent messages a few times for them to just give a simple response but nothing that indicates they are trying to schedule us in. back when I tried em, I wasn't happy. I even dropped the truck off at a (their?) location in Rowlette. When I went to pick it up they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The truck was brought there becuase it would randomly lock up a rear wheel and go into a skid if the brakes were hit fast or it was wet out. Cost me 155 bucks as I remember, and 50 some miles were put on my truck. I ended up taking it to Garland Safety Lane where they fixed the issue. It turned out to be out of round rear drums. Perty easy for a pro mech huh? I wouldn't reccomend "step on my dime". read more

I'm extremely disappointed with this business. The person that came out to install new rear brakes attempted to manually take my tire off. It's very evident that he struggled. Instead of admitting so, I was informed that he had to "abort" the job because the lug nuts were stripped and I was also already missing one. Mind you, I just had a full vehicle inspection from BMW AND I personally detail my car weekly. These are not things that ever go unnoticed. So it was explained to me that upon inspection of this that the employee never even touched the vehicle. I expressed my frustration with the building manager (they came to my work to replace the breaks) and she was able to pull up the cameras. In the video footage it shows the employee manually attempting to remove the tire. From his physical jester's you can see he struggled to remove the wheel. So now I have stripped lug nuts on only ONE wheel and he also left me with missing one. I expressed my concerns and disappointment with the owner and he refuses to make things right. Overall I'd say Five Stars. They come to you, so it saves the hassle of dropping off or waiting at the mercy of a 'physical' auto shop. It was also a better price than the three other shops I received a quote from. Of course it's always good to support small businesses when possible. Needed pads and rotors on a 2011 335i, as front-right had started to grind and rotor was heavily grooved. The quote for OEM-grade parts was very reasonable. I was able to get an appointment at my office for the very next morning when I called. Technician showed up within the margin of error (about 10 mins after they said he would, but that's pretty good). I gave him my key and 90 minutes later, my brakes were changed. Tech asked me to test drive the brakes while he waited, saying I might notice some fade initially, which I did not. He then left and Dan called immediately to handle payment. I've driven the brakes for three days so far, and had no issues: no smells, noises, and seemingly the same stopping power. Wanted to take time to say how much I appreciate the service from Stop on a Dime. I called them because I had sporadically been hearing a grinding sound from what I thought was coming from my brakes. The mechanic, Christoper, came to my job and asked several questions to ensure he was going to give me the appropriate service. After a thorough inspection of both the front and back brakes he did a test drive. He determined that the noise was not coming from the brakes at all and that my brakes were fine. Can't say enough good things about this Company. Chris was the one who came out to fix my brakes and was done right at an hour. It started off when my brakes started getting squeaky and actually felt it grind one time. Took it to the mechanic shop down the street and they quoted me just under $600 for front rotors and pads (I did need them, but thought this was pretty outrageous price). I have changed rotors and brakepads with my father back in the day. Well... I helped at least, but don't have any of the tools to do so. I got on Yelp and found Stop on a Dime with excellent reviews. Texted the number with my car details and what I needed. Responded within 5 minutes and I asked if they could get to my car this afternoon as I was heading out of town the next day and wouldn't be back until next week. They accommodated and were out here within 5 hours. Now I save this for the last part because I don't think price should drive everything, but this cost me almost half of what I was quoted at the mechanic... $353 all in. So you're saying they will come to me while I can be at work or my couch at home, they are very responsive, don't try to jerk me around like the industry is known for, AND it costs more than 40% less than everywhere else?
