Had it back to me the next day with the coolant issue resolved and also went the extra mile to fix a vibrating exhaust pipe and compression tank at no extra charge. It's been surprisingly difficult to find mechanics that are extra knowledgeable in 4x4, lifted and specialty jeeps. So I really appreciate the quickness and extra care that was taken. My…read moreniece and I went to Hendrick on Friday, November 28,2025, for her to purchase her first vehicle before she had to drive back to school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We purchased a 2024 Certified Pre-Owned Jetta, and when you hear "certified" and "a year old," you think the dealership would have done its due diligence and checked the car end to end, but that wasn't what happened. When we got on the highway the very next day, Saturday, November 26,2025, to drive back to Baton Rouge, we were less than 2 hours outside of Frisco when her check engine light came on, indicating the oil levels were too high and the A/C wasn't working. We pulled out the owner's manual to see what the light meant and found the previous owner's "Price You Pay for Credit" paperwork still in it, but I will come back to that. I called the dealership immediately, and I hate that I didn't get his name, but that person proceeded to talk over me, stating that Hendricks had done a complete review of the vehicle and that things had happened. Yes, things happen, but there is a minimum expectation that the certified pre-owned 2024 vehicle would not have issues the very next day. That person gave me the Volkswagen roadside assistance number. He was responsive & thorough, checked the oil levels, and said that when we get to Baton Rouge, bring it into the Volkswagen there and have it checked if the light comes on again. I also called my salesperson, and he got me in contact with the Fixed Operations Director. Everyone said that maybe the oil levels were just too high and they should turn off, but it didn't. Since it was a Saturday and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is about 8 hours away, we had to wait until Monday to bring the car into SouthPoint Volkswagen. Once they checked the car, there were a total of 10 missing screws on the lower engine shield: 8 N-909-747-01 Bolts and 2 SWA-825-267-A Rivets. It was really disappointing that screws were missing, and I had to pay for an oil change $181.02, the next day after buying a certified pre-owned Volkswagen from the dealership. I want to say that the salesperson, Ali Bagherinassab, was professional and pleasant throughout our car-buying process, and Grant Saab was understanding and offered to pay me back for the money I spent on an oil change and having the screws replaced. As of the time of the review, I haven't received the repayment. Now I thought about contacting the previous owner to let her know that personal information was left in the owner's manual, and I might still reach out because it's important for her to know.

An airbag light that, as a serious safety item, couldn't be ignored. The INFINITY service team came back with bad news of $8,000. To Sewell's credit, they took it off the market and will lose some significant money on that trade in. Don't be silly. And, my two-seater sports car is none other than America's sports car. (And yes, there is only ONE America's sports car. You can figure it out.) None of those fancy Italian or German roadsters for me. And when it's time for service, I take my hot rod to Ray Huffines Chevrolet in Plano. No, I didn't buy my speedster at Huffines. Actually, I bought it in New Jersey, so I had to figure out a local Chevrolet dealer for my continuing service needs. After several service runs to other dealerships shortly after buying it that were less than satisfactory, I settled on Huffines. Why? Well, let me count the ways. This is my fourth America's Sports Car over the past twenty years. Prior to this one, I took my cars to several other Chevy dealerships in the Dallas area. And getting service from most of them was like being staked to an ant hill on a broiling August day. Matter of fact, most of the time, I would have chosen the ant hill. But over my five or six visits to Huffines, my service advisors have been timely upon my arrival and pleasant to deal with. And their estimates of the service cost and time frame have always been spot on. The waiting area is typical for a Chevy dealership. No fancy expresso machines, complimentary champagne, and hors d'oeuvres that you might find at your Lamborghini dealership. Again, this is a CHEVROLET dealership. And while you might not drive America's sports car, I'd bet that Huffines would be good for your Chevy Malibu, or maybe even some other vehicle brands. But if you do drive a Lamborghini, I'd probably play it safe at the Lambo dealership, especially if they serve some of those fancy Canapés while you're sipping a nice vintage of Dom Perignon.
