We have three cars and Golden Rule has inspected all of them for our car registrations. The facility is a little hidden off Lakeview Drive, but easy to get to. They offer water (cold) while you wait which is never long even when there are a half dozen people getting cars serviced. Although we only use Golden Rule for emission inspections I overhear comments made to other people about options for repair which are delivered with expertise to help people keep their cars on the road. poor service. I took my car in for a 120k service. the dash light is still on. I called and after a few minutes I was told "oh they didn't reset the light. bring it back and we'll fix it for you" So, I bring it back. wait for an hour.... they can't do it. They say because I didn't have them change the oil the computer won't let them reset the light..... I want to support local businesses but this place makes it hard. The dealership provides more for less money. now that's where i have to go because they can't even tell me how much life I have left on my breaks..... When I asked the guy said... "i can give you a list of a hundred things you don't need"... thanks bud, I just wanted to know how much I got left ... and feel like someone actually looked at it lame. I'm out 800 bucks and now I have to go to the dealership and spend a grand just to have someone look at it ... really disappointed with this business read more

The guys that run this place are super nice. If you live in the area they actually have a shuttle to take you to home/work . They have complimentary water/coffee in the waiting area. The waiting area also has good AC (a big plus). The parking lot for worked on cars is full but never a hazard. I've been to plenty of mechanics where I feel like I'm going to get into a wreck just trying to get OUT of the lot, but this is not one of those, which makes the process so much less stressful. They take pictures of the things they're fixing and explain what's going on to you. Honestly I would have gave 5 stars if not for the fact that they are kind of expensive in comparison to my previous mechanics, however, I'd say it's worth it to get the good service. read more
