Kwik Car Oil Change in Richardson Tx is Off My List…read more.. Well, I wasn't sure for a while, but I heard this Kwik Car place was noted for repair scams or suggesting repairs that aren't needed. Regardless, it was close to my house, so I primarily started using them for oil changes. I had been using them long enough to feel a little bit comfortable with the quality and honesty, so last week I had my wife bring in her SUV for an inspection/diagnosis of a leak. She had noticed a little bit of blue fluid on the ground so she asked them to inspect and investigate this. What they told her was that the air conditioner was failing. Specifically that the discharge hose was leaking and that the hose needed to be replaced and the system serviced and recharged. Approximately $800 total for parts and labor was the estimate. Being suspicious of this, I talked to the mechanic first, but as I began to ask more specific questions, he started back pedaling. I didn't opt for the repair, brought the car home and got a copy of the quote and inspection. I looked at it myself and there was no sign of any problem with air-conditioning or the discharge hose. The blue fluid ended up being windshield wiper fluid. I brought the car in to another mechanic that my family has been using for over a decade just to let them fully inspect the vehicle and to confirm my findings. They found the same thing I did. There was absolutely no problem with the air-conditioning system... No sign of leaks and functioning as it should. And the mystery blue fluid was Indeed wiper fluid. The failed wiper fluid pump was to blame and other than that, there were no other leaks. So I have to ask myself how can an oil change place that supposedly employees "automotive" mechanics mistake blue windshield wiper fluid for an AC leak? Air conditioner refrigerant is clear and coolant in this car is orange! And where is this mysterious leak in the air conditioner discharge hose anyway? I ask myself these questions and there's really only one answer. They attempted to scam us on an unnecessary repair, and I caught them in the act. And if by a slim chance it wasn't a scam and the employees really are that ignorant, that's almost worse. Not only will I not be going back here again for a repair, but I will no longer go here for oil changes and will not recommend their service to anybody. So, if you don't like throwing your money away, cross Kwik Car at 1851 N Jupiter Rd, Richardson, TX 75081 off your list.

When I got the car back on a Friday near closing time, I noticed a ticking noise and honestly thought I was going to get the usual runaround that a lot of mechanic shops are known for, which had me stressed all weekend. To my surprise, when I came back Monday and explained the issue, they were immediately understanding, took responsibility, and got straight to fixing the problem without giving me any hassle. That level of customer service and honesty is hard to find nowadays. Now my car is running smoothly again, and I really appreciate the way they handled everything professionally. I'd definitely recommend them for standing behind their work and treating customers fairly.

I got my car back and AC was not working I was told they had added dye to the system so they can locate the "leak" and filled my AC system back with refrigerant. Once I got my car back the AC was not working. I tried calling back but it was already 4pm and which they had closed on Saturday. I got charged 375 which included my oil change and the recharge to my system. I was told the AC was working but it turned out it wasn't, feels like I got scammed this time around. This wasn't the first time I've had them look at it and they keep saying I have no leak and that it cannot be located. I've pumped the system my self with refrigerant and you could hear the leak coming from the bottom of my condenser coil.

Hold up! I would not recommend this place. One-Star Review:…read moreDeceptive Practices at Only4 Auto Care Kenan Ajaj, Please call me so we can resolve the issue without having to go to court. The short of it: Misrepresentation of Part Availability: Claiming no non-OEM parts were available when they were is misleading and inflated the bill. Unnecessary Repairs: Replacing parts that were not faulty (as proven by my successful use of the old parts) indicates intentional overcharging. Lack of Transparency: Failing to provide a detailed invoice, delaying part number delivery, and refusing to sign handwritten part numbers suggest an intent to obscure the repair details. Price Gouging example: The extreme markup on parts (e.g., 1825% on the Mass Air Flow Sensor Connector) is far beyond reasonable industry standards. Kenan Ajaj and Joe, I trusted you as reliable mechanics, but my experience was deeply disappointing. On May 14, 2025, I brought my 2014 Audi A4 Quattro to Only4 Auto Care in Dallas, TX, for a starting issue caused by a shorted coil connector. Joe claimed a blown ECU fuse was fixed, but additional parts were needed, costing $2162.20. He said only OEM parts were available, yet after receiving the part numbers I found non-OEM parts at a fraction of the cost (e.g., Mass Air Flow Sensor: $546.66 vs. $34.49). This is just one of the multiple not need parts. I requested an invoice with part numbers multiple times, but Joe didn't send it. On May 17, he provided a printed invoice without part numbers and later texted numbers without descriptions, refusing to sign a handwritten invoice. On May 17, I returned to address missing body panel push pins, low-quality vinyl tape (not high-temperature cloth tape), and no heat shielding. Only two of three replaced parts were returned. I replaced the new parts with my originals, and the car has run perfectly for two months, proving the repairs were unnecessary. Prices were also inflated compared to Audi Dallas (e.g., Sensor Connector: Only4 price only for part $265.02 vs. $13.77 from Auto Dallas). This suggests deceptive practices, violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. This also show price gouging again for a part not needed. On August 1, 2025, at 1 PM, I discussed these issues with Rambo, expecting a call from Ken or Joe, but none came. I'm seeking a full refund and have filed complaints with the Texas Attorney General and BBB. Avoid this shop to prevent similar experiences. Issues: No heat shielding, missing parts, misaligned washer fluid container, grease on floor mat, unnecessary $2162.20 repair for a fuse issue. Photos available. What a horrible experience. I have been a loyal customer for a year but I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this business…read moreafter today. I have been given the runaround for 3 weeks trying to get a diagnostic on my ford mustang due to a check engine light coming on. This was preventing me from doing a state inspection. I would call in advance and ask when I could come in and was always told someone was available just to show up and be told there were to busy now to have someone see me at all that day. Today, I called in advance AGAIN to have a diagnostic done and while going there my engine started to stall. Once I stalled literally in front of the front doors all of the mechanics left, rudely almost hitting my car doing so and I was told because it was close to closing time no one could make the time to tell me what the issue was so I could inform a tow company or mobile mechanic. It was cold, heartless and extremely unprofessional business. That being said after calling around desperately I was blessed to find a new traveling mechanic serving DFW and surrounding areas named Jay's mobile auto service. He came to me, diagnosed the issue very fast and fixed it within 2 hours. I will now be giving him all of my car business.
