I've been bringing my cars to this Discount Tire for 10 yrs at least (I had kids so 4 vehicles back in the day), the folks here are friendly, the products are top notch (I have to use run-flats), the insurance is worth it, because Discount obviously understands that manufacturers "guarantees" aren't very reasonable, especially in Texas, the heat and road conditions wear them down a lot. I can't find cheaper, better tires for my girl than here. If you have to pick, pick this one off 66 / Bush.

Let's be frank, a lot of people think they can get a used tire for $10 installed here, but this place is a good tire service shop that can do repairs, but they sell & install new tires here, from their stock, or you can order a set and return by appointment. These guys are workers, the lobby is very simple. You may want to walk over to the Chick-fil-A next door for lunch and Discount Tire will call you when ready. My third vehicle is older, I just wanted used "take-off" tires, they asked if I could wait a few days for better tires. Glad I did! This brand rode smoother, and my gas mileage improved. The old saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" works for tire shops too!

Economy Tire has been in business for as long as I can remember, since the early 90's when he was…read morelocated in Wylie, before the Mother's Day tornado. I've been buying tires from here ever since I moved back to the area after entering the workforce. I buy there because: 1) I get what I need, not what he needs to sell. 2) Professional, quality work. I don't want my tires balanced some kid fresh out of high school who was trained for a day, and I don't want my lug nuts tightened (or left loose) by some overworked, underpaid, unappreciated employee distracted by other customers and co-workers. 3) I always get a fair price, always better than the chain stores. 4) Free soft drinks! Something I do, and I would ask of everyone, is pay in cash. Economy Tire happily accepts credit cards, but paying in cash saves them the ~3% fee from the credit card company (and saves me interest charges on the balance inevitably not paid off at the end of the month). Midway through the service, the manager informed me that the front rotors and brake pads also needed replacement. I approved the additional work since the tires were already removed. During the repair, the mechanic accidentally cut the sensor wire on the brake pad and attempted to cover the mistake by taping it, then reinstalled the tires and tried to clear the warning lights from the dashboard. As a result, the brakes were improperly installed, the dashboard warning light remained on, and rattling and clicking noises could be heard from underneath the vehicle. Despite keeping the car for over two full days, NTB failed to properly resolve the issue. The business failed to provide a resolution and instead caused further damage to the vehicle. I spoke with Ben Cortez, the Regional Training Manager, whose primary concern was retrieving their parts after I took the car to the dealership for proper repairs. The attitude displayed by this company and its representatives is a direct reflection of the poor service we experienced.
