I had a low tire pressure light come on while an hour from home (turned out to be a nail) but they literally had an employee come outside and shoo me away (making shoo hand signals as if I were a stray cat ) before I ever even parked or even rolled my window down to speak. Had a flat and my usual tire place was closed since it was a Sunday. Needed to get on the road for a trip so had to find a place quickly. These guys patched my tire in about 10 minutes which was great. But they didn't reset the tire pressure monitoring system and told me it would just reset on its own. I knew that was incorrect. Have never had that issue. I ended up having to Google how to do that myself and finally got it to read. The tire they fixed should be filled at 36psi. It read at 47psi, so over-inflated. Then the tire monitoring system shut back off. I didn't feel comfortable driving knowing it was over-inflated and now not reading. Ended up not taking my road trip that day and went to my usual tire place the next morning. Turns out Big D Tires damaged the sensor when putting the tire back on. So not only did I not get on the road the day I wanted to, but I also had to pay for a new tire sensor. These guys can patch a tire in a pinch but I wouldn't trust them to service my car again. read more

Best option for used tires (and new)! I've gone to Big D Tires now for close to 10 years, maybe longer. They've always given me quality tires at a great deal. I've purchased used tires mostly, but today I got 4 new tires from them. They are low profile, z-rated for $100 each and come with a 40,000 mile warranty. The cheapest I saw at Sam's or Discount Tire was $150 and there I would have waited in line and just been a number. These guys are appreciative and really care. More importantly, these guys have always been trustworthy and do business on a handshake. I've never felt compelled to haggle over price as their first offer has always been more than fair. I have been shopping for tires for my wife's car. Big D on Plano Road had the best deal, so I went there. They had to order my wife's tires and they came in in 2 days. I received a text on time and headed over there. They replaced and balanced all four with organized precision. So, 3 months later, I went back to buy two more tires for my car. They told me that really only needed one, but I wanted two. (ok, I'm a little weird, I like for them to match) They gave me a GREAT price- WAY better than Discount Tire or SAM's or Walmart! Just came back from Big D's, after striking out at Walmart's trying to get my new & newly purchased tires mounted (they said no because it wasn't purchased by them). Had two of my rear tires changed out, and had a third spare wheel and old tire that I had asked them to mount for me. Turns out, the third tire was bad, but we couldn't tell until it was mounted. Went to pay and then left, without even realizing until now that they ended up only charging me to mount 2 tires, even though the 3rd one was my bad. Honestly nice people, and finished the job quick. Had two blowouts because I hit a curb (I know, I know... Dummy!). Anyway, I had the roadside service guy take me to Big D because of the positive Yelp reviews and on the chance they just might have two tires that would fit my vehicle. I was greeted promptly by Rafael and "Mo," who looked over my car to assess my needs. After finding two used tires that fit they quickly had them moved into my rims and put on my car. Price was a little more than I'd expected but that may just be my not understanding the cost of used tires these days or, the fact that I didn't attempt to negotiate. I still think they were fair. I work in construction and got a few nails in my tires. Called my dad and asked him how much it would be to get some new ones so I was prepared to spend around $150 for a new pair. Went here, didn't even have to get out of my car, and the guy comes up and tells me that I don't need a new pair at all and that the tread is still good. Awesome place. My tires had pretty decent tread, but I needed to have one of them replaced due to some damage. Rather than buying all brand new tires I decided to get a used tire with similar tread life to save money. This place was great. They got me all fixed up. While inspecting the rest of my tires, they found a different one that had exposed wires showing. They were able to replace both tires very quickly, professionally, and at an excellent price. Please, do not buy tires from them. They charged me $37 for a used tired and not even within a week I had a blow out and it damaged the plastic bumber on my car and I had to get it towed .
