I would strongly advise caution before using First Fix Auto Care…read more I brought my vehicle in for an oil leak repair and A/C compressor replacement. They attempted to fix the oil leak three separate times, and it is still leaking. An independent technician later told me it appears they likely replaced only the gasket instead of the full (and commonly warped) cover -- meaning the repair was never going to hold. As for the A/C, it is still not working. Another technician found there was no refrigerant in the system and that there is a leak. Despite this, when I raised concerns, I received the following written response from them: "we've done our part and we've fixed your ac. [sic]" That was the extent of it. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no willingness to investigate further, and no attempt to stand behind their work. Instead, the tone was dismissive and defensive. I paid for repairs that were not properly completed. The lack of accountability and professionalism is deeply disappointing. Proceed at your own risk.

I HATE HATE HATE getting things done for my car because other places try to up charge you or say something is wrong. NOT the case here, I WAS BLOWN away with the process. The three gentleman that were there were very nice, they greeted us and made me feel welcomed. Were not pushy like other places they advised me what I needed and that was it. No "extra" hidden fees when I was ready to check out. One gentleman even filled ALL my tires with air & we were on our way. The whole service for my oil change took 16 minutes. I was in and out in 21 minutes. I am telling ALL my friends & family about this place. They just got a customer for life.

Do not take your car to Broadway Auto Repair in Garland, TX…read more The manager, Erik, is completely unsympathetic and dismissive, and the technician, Ruben, was extremely rude and disrespectful--not just toward me, but toward women in general. I brought my daughter's car in for a part replacement. From the start, their attitude was rude, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I paid upfront for the part they ordered, but they never communicated when it arrived--I had to keep calling just to get updates. After waiting 3-4 days, they finally received the part. I dropped the car off early in the morning as instructed and was promised same-day service. Again, no communication. I didn't get the car back until the following evening. Ruben claimed the car was safe to drive--even though my daughter has a baby she drives around with. Yet the car was still having issues. I took it to another shop for a second opinion, and they confirmed the exact same part still needed replacement. When I called Broadway Auto Repair about it, they refused to take responsibility and said I'd have to pay another labor fee for them to fix their mistake. This shop uses cheap parts, overcharges, and takes no accountability for their work. Erik offered no help whatsoever and insisted they weren't liable. What a joke. Save your time, money, and frustration--avoid this place at all costs. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and completely unreliable. You've been warned.

I got my car back and AC was not working I was told they had added dye to the system so they can locate the "leak" and filled my AC system back with refrigerant. Once I got my car back the AC was not working. I tried calling back but it was already 4pm and which they had closed on Saturday. I got charged 375 which included my oil change and the recharge to my system. I was told the AC was working but it turned out it wasn't, feels like I got scammed this time around. This wasn't the first time I've had them look at it and they keep saying I have no leak and that it cannot be located. I've pumped the system my self with refrigerant and you could hear the leak coming from the bottom of my condenser coil.

So my Acura needed spark plugs... this is my own novice intellect saying this because my mpg…read morestarted to be like crap and it was sluggish...so the first thing that comes to my mind and the cheapest is change spark plugs and engine filter...and yes, I know nothing about cars. So I politely call the dealership and was quoted 80.00 per spark plug...only the spark plug!!!! Say huh? I've started to do my own nails, but I assure you I have not smelled enough nail paint fumes and acetone to go for something as insane as that!!! So I asked what kind of plugs were these, and if they were made of gold and he said, "No platinum". I researched spark plugs and from what I read, it stated iridium was better than platinum and at Autozone, a nice brand of Iridium plugs were at most 24.00. I was totally cool with that, but for 80.00 bucks a plug, I felt that not only should these things start up my car, they should be starting up my ass or something!!! WTF???!!!! So I called the brothers at Blackline and explained the situation to them. I had already purchased the plugs and the air filters and it they told me to come in. I did and it has been the best experience of my car mechanic life.... lol...and I will never step into a dealership again!! These guys are efficient, transparent, honest and they explained stuff like no else has...I mean, that I wasn't related to. In addition to the spark plugs, I asked questions about other items the dealership said are "issues"....one dealership says I need this, the other dealership says I need that....as a person with no mechanical knowledge, I dont know who to believe and even more who is telling the truth for the 2k they are trying to smother out of me!! I expressed my concerns to Romero and and he took the time to go one a test drive to investigate my issues and even took me in the shop and showed me that each person from the dealership was lying and showed me there was nothing wrong with the parts they were referring to....or that it simply wasnt bad enough to warrant fixing at this point....maybe much later. He could have easily said, "Yeah, they are right" and said, "but I can do it for....." These guys didn't do that! They are honest, upfront and will tell you what is wrong and still give you a way better price than anyone else and they even are cool with you bringing parts like I did. Other places would be like...we cant install parts that you bring in...it doesn't have a warranty..yadda, yadda...but the part you bring in sealed is the same part he just called autozone for 10 minutes after you agreed to his 50 % markup!! We all have to make a dollar...but these guys are doing it honestly and I will without any reservation recommend them. I'm going back for my timing belt and a motor mount and feel that quality work will be performed at a more than decent price!! Check them out..and dont be bothered about the front of the shop..its simple and that's all it needs to be in order to get your car fixed....if you care about the Starbucks machine that is able to differentiate between a latte and a macchiato...then go to the dealership and you'll pay 2x for that coffee in the long run. They have soda, a TV and they'll even drop you off at th he Starbucks if you wish!! I'm never leaving these guys!!
