I had my 21 Ford expedition at Martin's to have an O2 sensor replaced. They did a fine job. Except, when I took it to Ford , to have other work done, they ask me where my engine cover was. I couldn't tell them because I had not opened the hood to look. It was completely removed and not replaced. I called Martin's 3 times to find out what they did with the cover and how my brake fluid reservoir cover got broken. They refused to call me back. I would NOT recommend taking your vehicle to Martins Auto. read more

Nice shop but the service was horrible and the mechanic assigned to my vehicle didn't know what he was doing, I spent 3k on labor and parts and got pushed out their shop and told I needed a motor which they could do for around 13k. One mechanic laughed and said he'd give me 500 for my truck. Took it to another shop and the catalytic converter was stopped up and I been driving every since. Be careful, the manager gave a sorry apology but didn't offer any refund for their neglect read more

I've had my vehicle serviced a few times from this shop. Being new to the Forney area, I was in search of a good mechanic to service my vehicle, however after this last visit, I will not return. Not only did they have my car for over 3 weeks, my vehicle is still not up for 100% . I was advised that I shouldn't accuse them of something that wasn't even wrong my the car that is; now not working. The comment was, your car is 20 years old . I have taken my vehicles to Joe at Martins Auto for several years. Recently he repaired a blown head gasket on my car. A short time later the radiator hose came loose and overheated blowing the head gasket a second time. I contacted Joe and he paid to have the vehicle towed back to his business. He took responsibility for the hose not being installed correctly and preformed the repair at no cost. It is refreshing to have a auto business that stands by their work. Highly recommend. read more

We recently took our truck into Martin's Automotive to get some repairs done. We got a quote from a dealership for the work and thought we'd get a second opinion. So we called Martin's Automotive. Joe the owner answered my wife's questions and came in with a total of half of what the dealership wanted to charge us for same work. Joe even asked us if we had AAA so as to get the discount on the work. This was our first visit to Martin's and we were met by a very friendly receptionist who was very attentive and pleasant. The waiting area is super clean and the walls are tastefully filled with Willie Nelson concert bills. Growing up in Upstate New York our Family had a "go to" auto mechanic who did great work at a reasonable price. We have gone to him for 35+ years. For me if you find a skilled professional that fixes the problem correctly, at a fair price and does so in a timely manner, I'm giving that person my business 100% of the time. So we dropped off the truck to Joe, he did the work at the price he quoted and had it done in the time he promised. The invoice was clear and easy to read showing the itemized charges. Problems fixed, fair price and in a timely manner...for these reasons I would recommend Martin's Automotive to anyone to get work done on their vehicle in the Forney area. read more

Well 2 months after I had my car in for a/c repair, I'm spending the day in a hot ass car because ... Wait for it! ... The a/c is plowing hot AGAIN! New compressor and freon and it's as bad as it was in the beginning. So, off to another repair shop and I'm sending Joe at Martin's the bill from the new repair shop. If I'm not reimbursed completely, the better business bureau, and then a demand letter. I'll update my post, good or bad, once I see how this plays out. Have a nice day. read more

I do not blame Joe Martins as much as I blame myself for not checking him out before I took my vehicle in and learned a huge lesson. I took a vehicle into Joe's and he repaired everything that did not need to be repaired. I trusted Joe which was a big mistake and I paid the price. Folks do you home work and get everything in writing down to the make of the spark plug. I had this sinking feeling when i took my vehicle in for repair and they wanted 50% down payment and started walk out the door then. Trust your gut feeling when dealing with these people. I just chalk it up to a lesson learned. read more

This is THE WORST place to take your vehicle to get fixed, told them I needed power steering pump hoses and rack and pinion done, he calls and says its NOT the rack and pinion, the you can't replace just the seals on a 96 olds lss, that it was a bad oil leak. Said he couldn't tell about rack and pinion seals because the oil leak was so bad, well, Joe told me to put oil in my power steering pump to drive it up there!! I trusted him as he is the mechanic, and let him fix the oil leak. For $750. Days later I run out of power steering fluid. Take the car back he says oh you're right it was the seals that'll be another $600. Uh what? You just admitted you were wrong and you still wanna charge me? And there's still an oil leak and I now can't drive my car, after the engine almost blew up from not having oil because they didn't replace the oil ! He did say the oil pan had a leak but it was never leaking before, and if there was wouldn't you go ahead and fix that or call and ask if I'd like you to fix it? Complete idiots. read more
