Cool park. Clean. Well maintained. Good equipment. Walking trails, dog park, volleyball court, soccer fields, and they even have motion lights and cameras for safety. Great park for the kids!

Children's play ground.

Beautiful open space park with two playgrounds. Volley ball court and sKate park. Love the trees and shade they provide. Plenty of room for kids of all ages to run around and burn energy.

Bark Park - Simple park but it works.

My big dogs like it here. I bring chairs, because they don't have any benches. Water fountain is…read moregreat. No issue with stickers in large dog area. But I noticed a few in smaller dog area. There is plenty of grass in the large dog area, and the trees give them shade when they need to rest from running hard. Small dog area is too small, and doesn't allow much room to run for smaller dogs. It's is also mostly dirt and prickly weeds. Yuck. They need to make a larger area for smaller dogs that isn't all shade, so some good grass can grow. I'll be going back because it is so close and convenient. But I still have high hopes for some improvements.

The only reason this park gets 2 stars is that it's fenced and has separate areas for big and small…read moreareas. It's in a cute neighborhood, too. That said, my dog-loving friends and I were quite disappointed for the following reasons: 1. SANDBUR (GRASSBUR) whatever you call it. Three times I caught my baby girl limping because the burrs got stuck in/between her paws. :-( They are really painful and they are ALL OVER the big dog side hidden in the grass. I'm never taking her again for that reason. 2. Small dog side is TINY. Seriously, the people who built it must think small dogs don't run or that they only run in circles. I only have a big dog, but my friends who had small dogs were very frustrated. (That said, the small side is fenced properly with no escape room.) 3. It lacks seating area. 4. Water is outside. If you bring your own bowl, it's not a big deal. But it's a con. 5. It's kind of boring... No agility. And it seems like hardly any people go there - probably because of the burrs! Suggestion - Go to Stoney Creek Dog Park (AKA Harris-Ridge Dog Park) at the border of Pflugerville/Austin instead. It's way better for both big and small dogs!

The hubs and I were syced for a power walk. First we take in the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park…read more We hear the birds chirping, tree branches whistling in the wind and the rippling of the creek in the background. Their appears to be softbal fields on one side of the park. This park is massive! We see other leisurely morning walkers, folks with their fur babies on leashes and even small groups of family members and friends enjoying the park. We did not realize until reading the signage, that Walnut Creek park is a nature park. Totally makes sense given the lush nature of the park. Cyclists ride down the trail with vigor and position. The park is alive! Really enjoyed our power walk.., This family friendly park has an array of playground equipment for children. The is also a large empty swimming pool in background...unsure if it's operational. Picnic tables are strategically sprinkled throughout the park.

Great option for hiking -- large park with lots of trails…read more According to my quick research, there's only one paved trail -- Northern Walnut Creek Trail. We had our kids in a wagon stroller so needed a stroller-friendly trail. It's a long trail (not a loop) so we just walked it to the creek and turned back. Trailhead is to the right of playground. Playground was pretty nice (with an area for smaller toddlers) but parents could have been more conscientious (some kids were throwing rocks down the slide).
