My name is Charlie Blu. I'm an Australian Shepherd and give 4 paws up plus a stub for a tail. That's 5 if you are counting in human years. My dad and mum take me here when we are in town and this is my favorite place to run around. Even though I'm just a pup, the grownup doggies teach me new things like how to play chase, sniff and aimlessly run around. I haven't totally braved the water park just yet, but watching the retrievers jump in and fetch has started to build my interest. I did get in the pool up to my chest and got dirty enough to need a bath, but not fully committed to jump in yet. I think if I play it wisely, I'll milk it for all it's worth and probably will get a few more trips in before I take the plunge. Luckily, the park has multiple wash stations on the way in/out, so my humans can clean me up nicely before our ride home. Not my favorite thing to do, but since it's a doggie dog world, I have to live by their rules. Now that I'm 7 months old and weigh 30 pounds, I can play in the large dog area which is much more fun for me. When I was under 30 pounds, I used the small dog area which is overall a bit smaller in size, and the grass is a bit "ruff", so not as much fun. Also too many yapping pups there for my taste. So if you have the zoomies and are in the area, come by and say hi, or come play with me as I'm looking for new friends all the time. Socialization is an incredibly important thing for a dog to engage in and Cedar Bark Park does an incredible job at making that as easy as possible. From the moment you pull into the park you can tell a lot of care went into its design. There is ample parking and a lot of dogs there so your dog will surely meet a new friend. Also, there was a mobile dog groomer there taking anyone who was interested in their services.There's no fee to enter and there are three main areas: small dog, big dog, and an open area with a water fountain that creates a mini lake. Since our dog is smaller we opted to go into the small dog area first. The small dog area is very nice with benches, trees, and little activities strewn throughout. There's a drinking area for your dog as well in case it starts to get tired. We spent about 5 minutes there before deciding to go into the bigger area with the fountain as that's where all the other dogs were. When we entered the large open area the first thing we noticed was how secure everything is. Whoever made this area was very aware of dog safety and at no point were we uncomfortable with ours in there. The dogs here were well behaved and extremely friendly. Many of the owners were socializing together as their dogs ran around and chased one another. The fountain provided many dogs with refreshment on what was a very hot Saturday morning and I'm sure that's why this place is so popular. It really is a beautiful park and it feels great to see your dog having so much fun, we highly recommend it to anyone in the area who wants to do a dog friendly activity. read more

Good luck trying to find a better all around dog park in Texas (let alone Austin). Bark Park has something for every type of dog. We initially brought our puppy here when she was nice and small. Bark Park is split into three sections, one of which is for much smaller dogs. The small dog section was perfect for our small puppy to learn about the park and not get attacked by much larger dogs. We soon moved her to the large (non water) dog section which is normally the most crowded. The section is massive and kept in fantastic condition. Grass was kept up all summer long. Finally, the have the second large dog section with the massive pond in the middle. Let's just say, our pup LOVES the water. They keep the fountain running to make sure there isn't any water just sitting around. All in all, this place is amazing. They even have bathing sections at the exit to clean your dog before heading home. read more

A great place to take your dog for wide open spaces and plenty of socializing! We took our dog here on a Saturday morning. It was a bit busy but not too crowded. They have separate sections for different sized dogs so since our dog is on the smaller side and has a complex with bigger dogs, we went into the smaller dogs area which was pretty much empty except for 2 other dogs. There was plenty of grassy space along with a water fountain, tunnel, trees and benches. The larger dog area is right next door with only the fencing as a separation so we did have to make sure our dog didn't get too worked up about one of the bigger dogs nearby. The front area did seem a little dirty and wet, most likely because people can groom their dogs there. There is a lot of parking although it did seem pretty full when we went - luckily we didn't have issues finding a space. read more

Time and time again, this park allows aggressive dogs that have no place in a group setting. Many owners are disrespectful, and unless you visit on a slow day, you might get lucky. My dogs, who love everyone, have repeatedly been aggressively humped and forced to defend themselves--so much so that I had to carry them out. An admin (or so they claimed) said they remove aggressive dogs, yet when they witnessed this happening, they did absolutely nothing. There's a reason reviews aren't allowed on Apple Maps. If your dog doesn't mind being around overly dominant dogs, then by all means, enjoy--otherwise, stay far away! read more

Our dogs absolutely LOVE this place! Anytime we say "Let's go to the Park" they immediately run to the door because they know this is where we're going! First, this place is huge. It is probably one of the best dog parks we've ever been too. We live in Pflugerville so we drive all the way here because they love it so much. I will say it can be really busy at times but there is plenty of room to spread out if you are wanting to still keep your distance from others. At times there can be a TON of dogs here at once of various ages and breeds. Due to the amount of dogs and people it is hard sometimes to keep an eye on your pet since there's so much space for them to roam around but I have never seen any issues as far as dog fighting or animals getting sick which is a huge plus for some. They have two massive areas for your dogs to run and play, a massive pond with a fountain for your pups to swim or cool off, a bridge for dogs to jump off of into the water, two washing stations to bathe your dog and they also have a seated wooded area. If you don't want your dog to get dirty or wet this may not be the place to bring them. If you want your dog to be happy and tired then this is the place for you! read more

This is the nicest dog park I have visited anywhere. There is one large section for small dogs and two separate sections for large dogs. Currently (as of 9/30/2020) the second large dog section without the pond is closed for a couple of months while they install concrete walking paths throughout that area. One large dog section includes a large pond that the dogs love to swim in. The second is a section is separate from the pond. Water fountains for visitors AND dogs are throughout the area. There are two raised wash stations so you can bathe your dog with the shower head and garden hose provided before you leave so bring your shampoo! It is adjacent to a nice community pool as well as next to the Veteran's Memorial. Open Wednesday through Monday from 9am-10pm, and on Tuesday 3pm-10pm. The dog park is not lighted. read more

We love taking our senior dog here! It's a great off leash park. Owners are pretty responsible about picking up after their dogs as well as keeping an eye on their dogs interacting with others. Parking has never been an issue, and I appreciate how there's shaded benches for humans and pups as well. My boys and I love this park! When we first visited, they were doing a major renovation that now looks great! They cleaned up the dog pond for the mixed dogs area. It's now lined with concrete and clean rocks as well as sidewalks surrounding the entire area. There is even a mini pier where the most adventurous pups can jump off into the water right in front of a huge water spout shooting water high up in the air. There are a couple of covered benches on that side for hot sunny days. Plenty of open running space. The entrance is actually two separate shower stations with very cool stands and hoses ready to go. It's my favorite spot to bathe my boys now, (for FREE) especially since they usually need it after getting wet and dirty. You just need to bring your own towels and shampoo. To the right side past the shower entrances, as I already mentioned, will be the huge mixed dog area with the water pond. It's by far the biggest area. To the left there is the small dog section. Straight in front and to the left, there is a large dog section that also has a big running area. No water for them to get wet, but that area is not as grassy and there is more dust. The place is free and open late. Like 10pm late!!! However, there are no lights so it gets pretty dark. It's open from sunrise to 10 p.m.  Note that the Bark Park is closed every Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for cleaning and maintenance.  Bring your pups and let them have a blast! read more

My Tribe Called Worst LOVED IT! My biggest and best boy and service dog, Otis Campbell got to swim and kiss so many new humans! Mi abuela, Minnie Pearl even enjoyed herself! AND Chloë London aka Puppy Taliban played so much, she was too tired to harass me that night. Don't worry, she quickly recovered. We even saw two of our pack family and met new people and sniffed new butts...I didn't sniff butts I only had to pull out Tula Mae, three times! Tula is a teal, plastic spatula...Otis is unfortunately an imbecile at the park. He's ornery. I pull out Tula and offer threats. He likes giving unwanted "special hugs". Not today satan! The puppers and humans were friendly. The park areas were very well maintained. There are lots of places to explore. There's a little woody nook next to the aerated pond. It's really cute. There's plenty of seating, but bring a chair just in case it's crowded. The best part was the washing station! There's even shampoo provided! Although we live in Cove and it's a hour drive, we will go back, soon. read more

The most fun dog park in the Austin area! We drive about 30 min from downtown Austin just to come here because our puppy loves it so much! The park is HUGE and is divided into different sections depending on what you're looking for. Our pup loves to swim here too! On the far right past the Veterans Memorial Walkway, there are tennis courts. Huge parking lot, with a brick Restroom right by Parking Lot. If you drive all the way down the lot, there is a Community Garden that is adorable. For a Friday, there was a steady stream of dogs, leaving and entering. Our dogs love this park, especially the water feature. I wish it was closer to our house because it would be a multiple times a week trip (currently we try to go every weekend.) Most people pick up after their dogs, the park itself seems well taken care of. It has a good set up. Small dog side, big dog side, side with water. It also has two dog washing stations, poop bag stations, and tools to help pick up the poop. 98% of the people who go have been awesome. We've met some really cool people and dogs there. Occasionally we come across a dog who's owners either aren't paying attention or just can't control their dog, but it's very few and far between. We've never witnessed a fight though. Absolutely a great spot to bring your dogs. There are two separate areas: dogs under 30lbs and dogs over 30lbs. Our dogs had a blast running around and sniffing other dogs. There are a lot of tennis balls in the water, on the grass... everywhere.. The only downside for us was that no one was wearing a mask, but since the area is very spacious, it wasn't an issue to socially distance yourself. We are definitely coming back here again at least once a week. read more

Best non-membership dog park I've been to ever. I love the three giant fenced areas for dogs to play in and of course the one with the pond is great for water-loving dogs. There's a concrete platform that they can jump off of and plenty of easy-access wide concrete ramps going into the water all around. The fenced little doggie shower area on the way out is a great bonus after pond playtime. My only negative which still doesn't knock a full star off my review: just wish the pond was a little cleaner but at least there's a giant fountain so the water doesn't stagnate. read more

This is THE spot to take your pups for lots of play time, friendly interactions, and fenced in space for off leash. Separate spots for small dogs and large dogs. We have two small dogs so we usually stay in the small dog section. Most people wear masks or keep distant. Everyone we talk to is friendly! People watch their dogs and intervene if necessary but usually not a problem in small dog section. There's a large pond in the large dog section that is always buzzing. I can't believe a park this good is free! Though it's a bit of a drive, this is an incredible public dog park. There are separate areas for big and small dogs, as well as a mixed use water area. Tons of shade, tons of parking, the pond actually circulates the water, and best of all, there's a wash station at the entrance/exit. Oh my goodness! My pup LOVED this place! It is huge and well-maintained, honestly incredibly maintained for it's size. There is both a small and large dog area, and we keep to the large dog one since we have a bigger good boy. The water feature is fantastic and so many dogs have fun swimming! There is also PLENTY of room for zoomies! My pup literally ran circles around the entire park for the first few minutes. There are also so many furry friends to play with! Additionally, everyone ALWAYS picks up after their dog which is a HUGE plus. We go at least every other weekend! We hope to see you furry friends around! read more

This is my favorite place to go close to Austin, not only for my dog but for my kids to have a couple of hours of relaxing fun for free. There are two sections one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. The small dogs have a very charming area, complete with benches for the people to sit, and don't be shy, Introduce yourself and your dog, you just might meet an interesting person or two. The dogs never have any hesitation meeting each other. If you come prepared for giving your dog a bath, this is also the perfect place on a nice warm day. After your dog has rolled around and played, dunked in the beautiful sparkling reservoir, there is a bath for the large dogs and another bath for the smalls. If you have not been here recently, they have really improved the doggy bath area. Now it has a wonderful stand area for each of the sizes of dogs. So bring some dog shampoo, fluffy dog towel, and wash away. I gave it four stars of instead of five, for two reasons, number one it is a drive out here, wish it was closer. Can't change that. The other reason is sometimes there are not enough dogs here, it's always more fun with lots of dogs. That is one reason I'm doing this encouraging review, take your time, drive out here, bring your dogs, and bring your beautiful happy self too. read more

We love Cedar Bark Park! As soon as our pup Nala got all her puppy shots we started taking her there weekly which helped in getting her socialized. The park is large and divided into three sections: 1. Small - under 30 pounds 2. Large - over 30 pounds (and smaller at your own risk) 3. And the water park which is over 30 pounds (and smaller at your own risk) The amenities: 1. Several multilevel water fountains in each side of the park 2. A small amount of agility equipment on the large dog side 3. Newly added shade on the water park side 4. Dog washing stations 5. Quality poop bags (yes, this is noteworthy) 6. Lots of balls and Frisbees The water side of the park is sort of like a pond with a water fountain in the center and a dock for the dogs to leap off of. They clean the water every Tuesday. If you come at least once a week you start getting to know the regulars and Nala is always happy to see her fur friends when we go. Its free, I find the dog owners responsible and most importantly Nala has a blast. read more
