Rattan creek park trail

- I spy with my little eye somethinngggg green * Is iiittttt a broccoli? - Nope, guess again * Isss it a brussle sprout? - Nuh uh, guess again * Okay, is it an asparagus? - No * Alright, just tell me - Its RATTAN CREEK PARK, AND ITS GOT IT ALL Sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, Gaga Ball pit, biking trails, walking trails, a beautiful pavilion, a jungle gym, a pool, a soccer field, a community center, picnic tables, grills, adorable dogs, hot guys with abs and and man-buns, and the list goes on. I walk through this park at least 3 times a week. The trees and grass are beautiful and well maintained, theres flowers everywhere, adorable creatures, its never too crowded, it has a large variety of amenities, and its great for people watching. Even on the hottest days walking through the park is bearable because the trees offer such nice shade. On early morning walks I get to see swim meets taking place frequently at the pool, and in the evenings/afternoons its pretty quiet. Theres a parking lot. And, water fountains and trashcans, aswell as well stocked doggy pickup cans and bags can be found throughout the park.

Absolutely love this park. I come here almost everyday to run and it never gets old. It's beautiful and kept up nicely. I always feel safe as well. It's easy to track mileage because there's a marker for every 160 meters. (1/10th of a mile) Rattan Creek is a hit with the kids as well. I don't have kids but the park is always loaded with them and moms so it must be good. There's tennis courts, a basketball court, sand volleyball, a playground, and random outdoor work out equipment along the trail. You'll also see lots of four legged friends. I did see a snake once so always be careful when on the trail. *not good for roller blading or skating, the trail is paved with gravel*

Large playscape.

This is a great little park. It's in Williamson County so the Williamson County leash law requiring dogs to be on leashes applies.

Stretching along Shoal Creek, the park offers a mix of shaded walking and biking trails, open lawns, and beautifully restored natural areas. It is hard to believe when you are in the park that you are in the heart of central Austin. The park is especially family friendly, with a large playground, splash pad, treehouse style observation area, and plenty of seating. While we were at the park a school was hosting a picnic for its students. The northern portion of the park is even more quiet and scenic, with winding trails, limestone bluffs, and creek views. It's a great area for dog walks, leisurely strolls, picnics, workouts, or just relaxing under the trees. The park is well maintained and welcoming to all ages. This park is very special.

The stream nearby adds a peaceful touch, and the overall design of the park feels really intentional and creative. Kids will go crazy for the massive playground and all the interactive installations. The hanging net sphere is a must, you can lie inside and bounce around, and honestly the adults were just as into it as the little ones. There are also food vendors including ice cream, so you can easily spend a whole afternoon here. One of the most well-done parks I've been to. Highly recommend.

There is a fence completely surrounding the park and there is a gate to go in and out of which has the handles high enough that a child could not open that gate. There was a lot of thought put into this park. They have wonderful learning areas such as they have an area all about music; This was definitely a favorite place. There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. This is definitely a great place for children or for parents to play with their children. I highly recommend you visit.
