Awesome place! Great coverage when the sun is out. Soft turf for the kiddos and mulch to keep the ground cool around the playground.

    What a pretty park.

What a pretty park. The trees provided plentiful shade. There are two different playscapes; one for the 2-5 years olds and another for the over five crowd. Lots of activities if you have a daredevil or climber. Many parks situate their monkey bars way too high up for the little kiddos to swing from without assistance. Not an issue here, which was great for my little monkey. In the 2-5 year old area, they have bars set up that can be reached by climbing up on the half tire. Perfect for not having to hover or worry about a long drop to the ground. Not a lot of parking, but not an issue in the middle of a chilly day. There were also bathrooms but can't speak to their condition since we didn't use them. Great park. Another one to go on our frequent visitor list.

    Playground for ages 5-12

This park is absolutely beautiful. There are 2 playgrounds, one dedicated to younger kids & one for the older kids. The entire place is covered with shady oak trees. There are bathrooms, a large field for soccer or kickball, picnic tables, nature trails, tennis courts & a sand volleyball pit. Perfect for birthday parties!

Lots of shady areas and plenty of park attractions for kids

Stretching along Shoal Creek, the park offers a mix of shaded walking and biking trails, open lawns, and beautifully restored natural areas. It is hard to believe when you are in the park that you are in the heart of central Austin. The park is especially family friendly, with a large playground, splash pad, treehouse style observation area, and plenty of seating. While we were at the park a school was hosting a picnic for its students. The northern portion of the park is even more quiet and scenic, with winding trails, limestone bluffs, and creek views. It's a great area for dog walks, leisurely strolls, picnics, workouts, or just relaxing under the trees. The park is well maintained and welcoming to all ages. This park is very special.

The stream nearby adds a peaceful touch, and the overall design of the park feels really intentional and creative. Kids will go crazy for the massive playground and all the interactive installations. The hanging net sphere is a must, you can lie inside and bounce around, and honestly the adults were just as into it as the little ones. There are also food vendors including ice cream, so you can easily spend a whole afternoon here. One of the most well-done parks I've been to. Highly recommend.

There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book.
