This park is so cute. My fiancé showed it to me when I first moved here. Our son absolutely loves to come here. There is always a bunch of kids, and they are super friendly. It's not the best place to bring your kids bike, because the gravel makes it difficult for him to peddle. Our dog loves it too.

Severn Trent really does a wonderful job keeping this park clean and tidy. They recently renovated the park installed brand new playscapes for all ages. There are two sand volley ball courts, swings, tennis and basketball courts and a three lap per mile decomposed granite trail running the perimeter of the park. The pavilion is nice and spacy, easily able to accommodate most crowds. There are several grills around for cooking. Birthday parties utilizing the pavilion should be coordinated with the HOA.

Always clean, never too crowded and enough room to enjoy some time outside. Bathrooms are small but better than other local parks. Lots of shade trees and a pavilion to keep cool in the summer.

Look at the shiny new playscapes!!

Love this little park, it's not massive but has just enough equipment for a good variety of ages. A great toddler approved area!

Kids loved it! Two large playgrounds with fun structures. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. Shaded. Bathrooms closed due to covid.

I only uses the toddler swings, which weren't the newest, they were faded and the metal was definitely worn, but sturdy.

The splash pad has a dedicated fenced in area for the water fun, and a nice grassy area with tables and seating. Perfect for a picnic! I love taking walks with my daughters along the lake, admiring the views and enjoying the wildlife. If you're adventurous you can rent a canoe or kayak from the boathouse and take it out onto the lake as well. This park is a beautiful place to spend time on a weekend!

The trail…read morethat runs over the dam is all paved (not sure how far it continues being paved since we turned around). Lots of pedestrians, bikers, dog walkers. You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

This park is a very popular place for Cedar Park residents because of the huge extensive playscape area for the kids. It also features a pavillion and has well maintained public bathrooms. Everything about this park looks recently built and it appears more construction is coming. There is tons of parking here and lots of covered picnic table space along with some grills. This is the only park I have seen where you'll find zip lines incorporated into the children's playscape area. This place has all the bells and whistles you could hope for, except for a swimming pool. There is a nice paved pathway that runs around the park and continues across the Muir Lake dam (aka Upper Brushy Creek Dam) and includes a large sports field acreage on the opposite side. There's no swimming allowed in the lake and you probably wouldn't want to anyway. However, they do rent kayaks and have a launch point on the lake. In the spring time this park comes alive with bluebonnets and other native flowers. The size of this park is enormous, and is capable of accommodating thousands of visitors. This park is worth seeking out due to all its amenities even if you don't live in Cedar Park. The photos included add much more to the narrative.

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!
