2 mile loop around the lake
    Rebecca T.

Lakeline Park is hands down one of the best parks around. We visit all the time, and it never disappoints. The two mile loop around the lake is perfect for a relaxing walk or run, and our dogs absolutely love it. The park is always clean and beautifully maintained, with plenty of open space, shaded areas, and great views of the water. You can also bring your own kayak or paddle board and paddle around. They also have some for rent. There's always something happening here too, from community events to outdoor activities. It's such a lively and welcoming place. Whether we're going for some fresh air, a casual stroll with the pups, or just to enjoy nature, Lakeline Park is our go to spot. We love it.

Absolutely beautiful park around the lake. The trails make a nice 2 mile loop. The park for kids is very well done. The bathrooms were pretty clean for a park. The trails were wide and well maintained/manicured around it. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!

Lakeline Park is fantastic. The playground has a really cohesive, thoughtful design where all the play pieces feel connected instead of random. There are zip lines, huge and interesting slides, climbing and spinning features, and plenty to do for kids of all ages. Beyond the playground, the park itself is beautiful. There's a paved two-mile loop around the lake that's perfect for walking, and we caught the sunset there with dramatic clouds and deep red light reflecting on the water. It was genuinely gorgeous. An easy recommendation for anyone with kids, and honestly a great spot even if you're just there to walk and enjoy the scenery.

I love this park. I take my dog on walks here a few times per week. There are trash bins and poopy bag stations along the main trail around the lake. The trail itself is paved; both walkers and bikers share the trail. This park is definitely the prettiest park Cedar Park has to offer, and it's also the newest. There is a big playground for kids and some obstacle courses for kids to enjoy. There is a well-stocked public restroom right next to the playground and amphitheater. This park also features a big grassy area in front of the amphitheater that I've seen used as a place for picnics or to fly a kite if the weather is breezy enough. There is also a boat dock, fishing pier, and sports fields for those that enjoy outdoor activities. I appreciate the dam along one side of the lake that overlooks the park facing west. This is one of the best places to catch the sunset in the area. There is a long trail that goes around the entire lake that's about 2-2.5 miles long depending on when you start and stop. You can easily get a workout in just walking/running in one direction. The trail has some inclines and declines, but is mostly flat. There aren't any lights along the trail so take that under consideration if you do decide to go the long way around. There aren't too many people during the weekdays if you want to get away from crowds. Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days.

I went to check this park out because a friend recommended it. It's a wide trail, and most of it is paved, making it perfect for biking. The downside is: very little shade! I would only do this early morning or late evening in the future. The pluses are: easy parking, easy launch spot for kayaking or SUPing, playground, soccer fields, a stage where I assume they have outdoor concerts, and a grove of trees where you could easily hang a hammock. The trail goes all around the central pond/lake for a total distance of 2.5 miles. I'd say, grab a coffee or a smoothie nearby, and walk it with a friend early in the morning. That sounds like a great way to start the day. Enjoy.

Love this place!! New and largely undiscovered, it encompasses Muir Lake and is just gorgeous! A paved, 2.5 mile trail circles the lake, great for walking, jogging biking. Winding through trees, open fields and along the dam, it's peaceful and I generally have it all to myself. This is a great park for walking the dog, or pushing a stroller, there's a kids playground, fishing, kayaking, and lots of nature. The path is mostly level, and since it's a loop, you won't get lost! I wish I could keep it a secret, but it's too nice not to share! Bravo, Cedar park!

The trail…read morethat runs over the dam is all paved (not sure how far it continues being paved since we turned around). Lots of pedestrians, bikers, dog walkers. You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

The splash pad has a dedicated fenced in area for the water fun, and a nice grassy area with tables and seating. Perfect for a picnic! I love taking walks with my daughters along the lake, admiring the views and enjoying the wildlife. If you're adventurous you can rent a canoe or kayak from the boathouse and take it out onto the lake as well. This park is a beautiful place to spend time on a weekend!

This park is a very popular place for Cedar Park residents because of the huge extensive playscape area for the kids. It also features a pavillion and has well maintained public bathrooms. Everything about this park looks recently built and it appears more construction is coming. There is tons of parking here and lots of covered picnic table space along with some grills. This is the only park I have seen where you'll find zip lines incorporated into the children's playscape area. This place has all the bells and whistles you could hope for, except for a swimming pool. There is a nice paved pathway that runs around the park and continues across the Muir Lake dam (aka Upper Brushy Creek Dam) and includes a large sports field acreage on the opposite side. There's no swimming allowed in the lake and you probably wouldn't want to anyway. However, they do rent kayaks and have a launch point on the lake. In the spring time this park comes alive with bluebonnets and other native flowers. The size of this park is enormous, and is capable of accommodating thousands of visitors. This park is worth seeking out due to all its amenities even if you don't live in Cedar Park. The photos included add much more to the narrative.

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!
