My nephew was extremely excited!!I noticed that everything was thoroughly thought out. The entrance gate is slightly heavy (two to pass through. Other area were the same (heavy gates to prevent kids from entering the paved areas without permission & help. There were several areas to play: sensory areas, sand box (large), agility, strength training for the littles, and a cute township area where kids can ride (provided mini bikes) bikes or scooters in the "city". The imagination stations were adorable. Most areas were covered well. They had several restrooms and water stations. Seating for birthdays and such. I didn't have time to take pictures. But it's true to the website. I highly recommend it!

After delays and delays and…read moredelays, it looks like Fritz Park's construction has wrapped, and with all the construction fences down, we can all explore what Fritz Park has to offer. One of the biggest sellers to families is the new splash pad, which, compared to other splash pads in Hutto, actually works. I don't think that's a hard ask, but at this point it's worth a celebration. In addition, there's a new all-wheels track, which is a slick-designed skate track for boards and bikes, a looping half-mile trail around the park that connects to the Cottonwood Creek Trail, a small stage with turf, cornhole, a great pond, and a sensory garden with objects to touch and fiddle with, the already existing basketball court and gazebo, and plenty of single-use family/all-gender bathrooms, which I think is great. If you gotta go, just pick a door. Lastly, there are two playgrounds for the younger kids and older kids. The younger kids' playground has musical instruments, swings, and other safe activities, while the older kids' playground has a rope climber, some American Ninja Warrior obstacle course, monkey bars, and more. It's pretty sick even for an adult. The slides on it are also pretty intense and adventurous. It's slick. Overall, I will be coming back to Fritz many, many times for as long as I'm in Hutto because it feels like a great space for community and just a fun spot overall. I will enjoy diverging from my runs on the Cottonwood Creek Trail to take a little detour through the newly renovated park. RIYL: A third space worth the visit

Such a great space for people to have time for themselves, for family, to reconnect to nature, fishing if that's your thing. I like that the loop around the small lake equals to a mile, so it's easy to get a 5k done as you know you'll go around about 3 times. The view is great, it's so nice to look at the green, the water, hear the birds, and be active. I'm glad I was introduced to this park by my dear friend, who still goes early to get her steps. I try squeezing time to visit at least twice a month. Mornings are best. I'm thankful to have access to these spaces near by. Parks are a necessity for the community.

Hutto Lake Park is a small park with a loop that is slightly less than a mile. It is perfect for…read moregetting a short run in with its mix of gravel, dirt, and concrete pathways. There is also a small incline that works well for some light hills practice. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, picnic seating under a pavilion, a basketball court, a water fountain, spots for fishing, and it sits inside a nice neighborhood. I enjoy coming here for simple runs both in the morning and afternoons. There's not lighting to make it worthwhile to visit at night.. Sometimes people will bring their dogs off leash and let them roam around, so be careful of that, but for the most part people are very respectful and courteous of each other on the loop. They thought of all the ways that would make it fun for a kid, and convenient for a parent. The play structure isn't your typical one, with a more obstacle-like feel, perfect for older kids. The swings were a hit for my toddler and my tweens, with them being so high off the ground. And the splash pad was so fun for all of them, with its variety of pour outs. We'll be back, with friends.

I googled the address and it came up as Chandler Creek Recreation Center and there were signs that said Meadows at Chandler Creek (which is the neighborhood we turned into from AW Grimes). Confusing. There is a nice sidewalk path you follow from the street that leads down to the pavilion. There is a sand volleyball area and basketball court too. The smaller kids had a playground to play in. The bathrooms were not bad for a park. Two stalls, one sink and hand dryer. It had plenty of grass to set up an obstacle course and camp gladiator station. For those who like to walk, there is a half sand trail and half cement path to walk around. I see the pool area is getting some work done to it. Looks like the kiddos will have fun here once it's complete.

This park looks like a recent addition to the Pflugerville Heights residential area. It sits in a…read morespace that is equivalent to a single home site with a large drainage field directly behind it. The good news is that this is not an HOA Park so anyone can use it. This park consists of a Playscape, swings, two covered picnic tables, three benches and water fountain. It is well taken care of with a well manicured lawn. Unfortunately this park is not part of any hike and bike trail so you'll have to drive here and park in the street. The photos in this review tell the rest of the story.

It's really nice that the kids get a chance to play in two rooms during the party, roughly 35 mins in room A and then another 25 mins in Room B. I've been here for other parties so it was nice to see some different inflatables in room B. Day of party logistics are really very easy. We took all of our party decorations and dropped them with our things during check in. While the kids were playing we discussed how to decorate the room with the staff. That was it! We elected to have the venue order pizza for us rather than do it ourselves. Took off the pressure of having to go pick it up or get it delivered on time. There will be a small fee if you do elect to bring your own food. It just has to be able to be eaten with your hands for reference. The staff does a great job getting the kids to move between rooms and helps to serve the food when you are in the party room. Overall a great experience!

That said, we left feeling quite disappointed by several things during our most recent visit. One major letdown was the Glow Party. Each child was given just one glow stick bracelet--yes, just one. Based on their advertising, especially the "Glow Mania" promotional video on their website, we were expecting a much more vibrant and exciting experience. In the video, kids are decked out in glow sticks--around their necks, arms, waists, and more--creating a fun, colorful atmosphere that any child (and parent) would look forward to. Unfortunately, the reality was a far cry from that. The single bracelet per child felt incredibly stingy and misleading. Frankly, it felt like a bait-and-switch--and for something marketed as a highlight of the event, it was a real disappointment. I asked for five extra glow sticks (just a few extras so the birthday child could wear them as a necklace), but the person at the front desk (who I believe is the manager--I remember him helping us before) said they didn't have any extras and only had enough for the weekend. Since the Glow Party isn't free, I expected a bit more. If I had known, I would've ordered some on Amazon to bring myself. The second-to-last party we attended gave each child a glow stick necklace, which felt much better than just a single bracelet. Also, the 15-minute bubble time in the party room seemed a little low -- raising them would definitely enhance the atmosphere. What really upset me, though, was that the staff member assisting us in the 50-minute party room threw away our special candle -- again! This is the third time it's happened, and it was the same person (with headphones on) each time. We even saw her toss it in the trash right after bringing the cake back out, just before it was time to cut it. Thankfully, a friend noticed and retrieved it from the garbage can. At other venues, staff usually set candles and small decorations aside, which I really appreciate since I like to keep them as keepsakes. This particular candle had sentimental value, so it was very disappointing--I've already lost two candles this way. Overall, we still enjoy Pump It Up and the kids had fun--but I do hope management will address these issues, especially when it comes to handling personal items like candles and decorations with more care.

There is also a paved nature trail that runs along Brushy Creek and continues underneath AW Grimes. There is a small raceway, kid town and bathrooms as well. This park has all the bells and whistles, including a zip line area and a covered musical instrument play area. The entire play area for the kids has a well fenced perimeter for safety. This is one of the biggest and most well designed playscapes I've ever seen, the only thing that's missing is a pool. On the property also sits Rabb House which is a large building for rent for large events. Lots of photos included to entice you to bring the kids to play.
