There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, picnic seating under a pavilion, a basketball court, a water fountain, spots for fishing, and it sits inside a nice neighborhood. I enjoy coming here for simple runs both in the morning and afternoons. There's not lighting to make it worthwhile to visit at night.. Sometimes people will bring their dogs off leash and let them roam around, so be careful of that, but for the most part people are very respectful and courteous of each other on the loop. Like many small, local parks, parking can be an issue, but not here, there are 28 parking spaces. Between the parking lot and the HOA pool, which is for Lakeside residents only, you'll find a water retention area. Also, in the same area, you'll find a full basketball court. The good news is that the park, unlike the pool, is a public park. There is one very large covered picnic area complete with a fountain, grill and public bathrooms. Dotted along the paved trail you'll find other smaller single table covered picnic areas complete with grills. These picnic spots sit close to a sheltered pond where you can watch local wildlife such as egrets and Herons. At the far end of the park is a much larger body of water complete with a dock which also links up to an unpaved gravel trail. I don't want to upload pics due to children are present but please go check it out because you won't be disappointed. The main stage is nice and there is a pavilion for you to just sit and enjoy the atmosphere while reading a book or just taking a moment to chill. I always enjoy coming here to cycle or walk but really appreciate the playground upgrade for the children.

My nephew was extremely excited!!I noticed that everything was thoroughly thought out. The entrance gate is slightly heavy (two to pass through. Other area were the same (heavy gates to prevent kids from entering the paved areas without permission & help. There were several areas to play: sensory areas, sand box (large), agility, strength training for the littles, and a cute township area where kids can ride (provided mini bikes) bikes or scooters in the "city". The imagination stations were adorable. Most areas were covered well. They had several restrooms and water stations. Seating for birthdays and such. I didn't have time to take pictures. But it's true to the website. I highly recommend it!

There was a lot of thought put into this park. They have wonderful learning areas such as they have an area all about music; This was definitely a favorite place. There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. After delays and delays and…read moredelays, it looks like Fritz Park's construction has wrapped, and with all the construction fences down, we can all explore what Fritz Park has to offer. One of the biggest sellers to families is the new splash pad, which, compared to other splash pads in Hutto, actually works. I don't think that's a hard ask, but at this point it's worth a celebration. In addition, there's a new all-wheels track, which is a slick-designed skate track for boards and bikes, a looping half-mile trail around the park that connects to the Cottonwood Creek Trail, a small stage with turf, cornhole, a great pond, and a sensory garden with objects to touch and fiddle with, the already existing basketball court and gazebo, and plenty of single-use family/all-gender bathrooms, which I think is great. If you gotta go, just pick a door. Lastly, there are two playgrounds for the younger kids and older kids. The younger kids' playground has musical instruments, swings, and other safe activities, while the older kids' playground has a rope climber, some American Ninja Warrior obstacle course, monkey bars, and more. It's pretty sick even for an adult. The slides on it are also pretty intense and adventurous. It's slick. Overall, I will be coming back to Fritz many, many times for as long as I'm in Hutto because it feels like a great space for community and just a fun spot overall. There is a nice sidewalk path you follow from the street that leads down to the pavilion. There is a sand volleyball area and basketball court too. The smaller kids had a playground to play in. The bathrooms were not bad for a park. Two stalls, one sink and hand dryer. It had plenty of grass to set up an obstacle course and camp gladiator station. For those who like to walk, there is a half sand trail and half cement path to walk around. I see the pool area is getting some work done to it. Looks like the kiddos will have fun here once it's complete.
