Due to the trees there are quite a bit of mosquitoes so during the summer evenings you should keep an eye out for that but otherwise we have found no issues with this park and love the size of it! There isn't tons of parking but we have never had problems finding parking when we visited.

Bigger Kids We loved knowing that our 2 year old could enjoy all the activities while also knowing that most of the bigger kids would be on the other side of the park. My only small negative is that some of the flooring is coming up in areas. I don't think it makes it any more dangerous, but it could get worse over time. There's a playground that is sectioned into two parts - with one larger playscape and a smaller toddler playscape. If your kids are a bit older, I suggest visiting Rattan Creek Park which is just down the road for their longer trails, bigger playscapes, and open fields. However, I grew up going to this park and visiting each time reminds me of the great memories made here. Recently there were renovations done to the restrooms, as well as an expanded soccer field and addition of a sand volleyball pit. The field is beautiful and always well maintained - great place to take your dogs! The trail leads to a very tiny creek/marshland with tadpoles but you may only see this after a rainy day. Yellow wildflowers bloom all along the field and it's beautiful to visit in the spring. There is a nice outdoor pavilion for hosting picnics or parties. A grill is also available for barbecue. Parking is found along the street or on the small back lot near the renovated bathrooms.

Great little neighborhood park that finally has a playscape for little kiddos. I could sit back and relax without worrying about the kiddos. Oftentimes, playscapes are high up and have open dropouts to them that perpetually have me on-guard for fallout. No worries here. You can bring your littles and let them loose. They also have a larger playscape, complete with a little zip line. Super fun! They also have a unique see-saw and tire swing. Lots of shade and bathrooms on site.

This park is a very popular place for Cedar Park residents because of the huge extensive playscape area for the kids. It also features a pavillion and has well maintained public bathrooms. Everything about this park looks recently built and it appears more construction is coming. There is tons of parking here and lots of covered picnic table space along with some grills. This is the only park I have seen where you'll find zip lines incorporated into the children's playscape area. This place has all the bells and whistles you could hope for, except for a swimming pool. There is a nice paved pathway that runs around the park and continues across the Muir Lake dam (aka Upper Brushy Creek Dam) and includes a large sports field acreage on the opposite side. There's no swimming allowed in the lake and you probably wouldn't want to anyway. However, they do rent kayaks and have a launch point on the lake. In the spring time this park comes alive with bluebonnets and other native flowers. The size of this park is enormous, and is capable of accommodating thousands of visitors. This park is worth seeking out due to all its amenities even if you don't live in Cedar Park. The photos included add much more to the narrative.

There are areas to play pickle ball, soccer, volleyball and even ice hockey. There's an arcade and adults-only bar indoors and several outdoor seating areas, both open and covered. The entire place is very well lit at nighttime. Toddlers and younger kids can enjoy at the playscape with slides. You can grab some food from one of the food trucks, drinks from the outdoor bar and have a great time hanging out. Some of the outdoor seats also have heaters or a firepit.

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.
