If the dog park is closed due to rain(or Covid) usually the rest of the park is open and we just hit the trails! There's a great Facebook group of dog parents for the park that will post if there have been any observed changes to hours/openings/dog birthdays etc.

The owner does not care either. and a white husky will also attack your dog. my family and i have brought our dogs here for years and recently the dogs and people coming to this dog park are rude and the dogs are aggressive. if you dogs get attacked the owners don't do anything and will just give dirty looks at you.some of the dogs will also hump your dog and the owners will just laughs

My advice to avoid incidents is if your dog doesn't know the dog that it's being introduced to keep your dog on the leash until a proper introduction has happened. Even though your dog may be good you never know the habits of others. Talk to people and get to know them and you'll know what kind of dog parent they are by the way they speak about their dog. And please don't take your dog if they are reactive to people.

This appears to be a public park, but it looks like a parking pass is required. This park even has a small splash pad for your pooch to play in and plenty of picnic tables, some of which are covered. This doggy paradise is pretty much hidden from the main road but when you find it, you and your dog will enjoy this space.

My dad and mum take me here when we are in town and this is my favorite place to run around. Even though I'm just a pup, the grownup doggies teach me new things like how to play chase, sniff and aimlessly run around. I haven't totally braved the water park just yet, but watching the retrievers jump in and fetch has started to build my interest. I did get in the pool up to my chest and got dirty enough to need a bath, but not fully committed to jump in yet. I think if I play it wisely, I'll milk it for all it's worth and probably will get a few more trips in before I take the plunge. Luckily, the park has multiple wash stations on the way in/out, so my humans can clean me up nicely before our ride home. Not my favorite thing to do, but since it's a doggie dog world, I have to live by their rules. Now that I'm 7 months old and weigh 30 pounds, I can play in the large dog area which is much more fun for me. When I was under 30 pounds, I used the small dog area which is overall a bit smaller in size, and the grass is a bit "ruff", so not as much fun. Also too many yapping pups there for my taste. So if you have the zoomies and are in the area, come by and say hi, or come play with me as I'm looking for new friends all the time. I'll be the black /white pup with the one blue eye, the Australian accent and hanging out next to the pool.

But it was pretty hot out, and once the sun went down the party really started- there was upwards of 10 dogs when we left! The property is located out in Leander and is pretty rustic- the park is all dirt with lots of seating scattered throughout for humans (a fun vibe with mismatched chairs and tables of all styles and heights) and cute playground furniture for the doggos to run and jump on. There is plenty of tree shade as well, and water bowls set out for the pups. You check in at the bar and then can order drinks directly from a window in the dog park so you don't have to leave the fenced in park, which is nice. This dog park is super casual- no food served here, or cocktails. Just a nice straightforward (and reasonably priced) beer and wine menu. But really, what else do you need? Just some dogs, music (they had music playing) and a cold beer that comes with a cute coozie. The staff was so nice and really good with the dogs- they were there managing all the interactions and ensuring that nothing got tense. I really appreciated that. They do have doggie ice cream that you can purchase and have your dog eat outside of the park (no food allowed inside, makes a ton of sense). This place may not have jumbo screens and margaritas like some other dog parks- but that's fine by me for the relaxed and friendly vibe, reasonable prices, and staff that ensures all the dogs are safe and having fun! We can't wait to come back again- especially for one of their cool events! (pet psychics!)

Unsafe at the moment…read more There have been reports recently that I have heard of men hiding in the bathrooms, including the women's bathrooms. One recent report was that 3 men came out of the bathroom and was headed toward someone's daughter. Another mom called the police recently because men were recording the children at the splash pad, but they didn't have any kids of their own. The bathroom by the playground and splash pad has two directions you can exit.. to the left towards the splash pad or toward the right towards the side wooded area. Please don't let your children go in there alone and always check the bathroom first. Lakewood park, please hire security and heavily monitor the children's area.

They have agility courses for the dogs to keep them occupied. My dog loves going there and it is very convenient as it is super close to me. There are times I have noticed the park is closed for random reasons that I'm unaware of. Overall a decent park to take your pup to burn off some energy.
